Mattew came back with two of his bodyguards,he was surprised she still has the gut to sit on his chair.

You are still sitting on my chair? Like i care, exactly you don't have to care.

Now carry her,give her fifty stroke of cain then lock her up. She open her mouth , unable to say a word,she only offend this man and he asked these hefty men to beat her? She still find it unbelievable not untill one of them carried her,she started shouted, telling them to drop her but none of them pay her any attention.

" How can you be this mean? She yelled in tears, she still see it as a joke,is she truly going to be flogged?, Not untill minutes later when he eventually drop her on the cold floor".

What did you think you are doing? Don't you have any feelings at all, they did not answer her rather they tie her down.

Bring some cold water, she was still trying to explain herself when he poured the cold water on her. Why are you this heartless,I follow orders,he finally answered.

Bring the cain,they bring him the cain and he flogged her with her cloth tight due to the water they pour on her body. "She was crying out loud in pain,tears keep flowing out of her eyes".

They were beating her when Mattew stopped Joe,how many stroke of cain have you given her? Just twenty sir,he stare at her, lock her up. He was about going when he turn back,give her another cloth,I don't want her to die here.

She looked at him and scoff, Joe was surprised at her gut.

He asked the maid to change her cloth and lock her up just as instructed.

Mattew was filled with rage,he sent for Joe few hours later.

Yes boss! He slapped him hard across the face immediately he said those two words,how dare you?.

I am sorry if i have offend you in anyway sir but I beg you to have mercy on your loyal servant,he said.

Why could you do that to her? You asked us to beat her sir,he said raising his head,he slapped him yet again,don't ever try to use my word against me.

" When I asked you to beat her,did I tell you to pour water on her body? No sir but....no but idiot,you did that just to see her body clearly right,how can you be so heartless? She is a woman".

When I asked you to beat her ,I thought she will beg but she did not because she is stubborn. You did not have to go that far when I asked you to beat her,how can you be so cruel? Joe was surprised his boss could say this to him.

His boss is the most heartless person he has ever seen,he only follow his orders.

What did you have to say about that? I am sorry sir but that how you normally instruct us to deal with the offenders.

We have been doing that for years now ,I am just surprised it now you are concerned about it.

Mattew stare at him,just get out of my sight.

He pick his car key and left the house.

Joe told the other guy's what happened,they thought he was lying,when did he start caring about his offenders? I am shocked myself.

Johanna keeps crying,she did not know what she did to deserve all this suffering.

All her life she had been going through nothing but pain. She had been trying to please her stepmom all this while but she still did not like her, she had been trying her best to let her see her as her daughter just like she takes her as her mom.

But she keep hating her the more. She cried out in pain and agony, her back hurt badly.

Mattew came back home earlier than expected, Sandra welcome him back and set the dinning for him.

He looked somehow worried, take the food away,I don't feel like eating.

He could not sleep,he thinks he had taken it too far. He should have let her be,he walked over to where Johanna is.

He opened the door and meet her still crying, he laughed. I don't know you can cry like this? She looked at him with tears in her eyes,she kneel down in front of him." His heart skipped,please let me go home,I am sorry for everything,she said in tears,I am sorry for crossing your path, I know i am useless and worthless,I deserve all the suffering but please let me go". She said in tears.

He looked at her,you are not worthless Johanna,I am the heartless one,I made you go through pains. I am sorry about what happened earlier, hearing you say those words define me.

I am not worthy to be alive,i died eight years ago. I died in silence and refused to resurrect again,I will have the guards take you back to your parent's house tomorrow morning.

He stretch his hand out to her,she put her hand in his ,he pull her up.

He dropped her infront of the room given to her before,please take your bath and eat.

I will pay you before going tomorrow,he said and walked to his room. She stare at him as he walked away.

John keep looking for Oh bonyi but it all turn out in vain, he became so sad.
