Chapter 2 Proposal goes wrong

One of the reasons why I admire my workers is that they are supportive.

I might be a bossy boss, but they still like me nevertheless.

I grabbed my handbag and made my way out of the company, with Ariel following behind me.

"I'm so happy for you Cornelia," Ariel said while hugging me from behind.

She doesn't even care if I'm currently walking, because she is damn happy, and all that she wishes to do is to express her happiness.

"It's finally happening!" I exclaim back while making my way towards my car.

Ariel offered to drive me to a boutique. Seriously! It's a big deal for me because I'm going to get proposed to.

"Miss! What is your preference?" A lady said.

I and Ariel are currently inside a boutique, and we are both choosing something that is going to be nice for me to wear to the restaurant.

I hate the fact that the lady had just called me 'Miss!' Well. I believe that after today, I'm forever going to be addressed as Mrs. Josh.

"My boyfriend is about to propose to me today, so I need a nice dress that would make me look sexier," I said to the lady who's currently in charge of giving me a tour of the boutique.

"Woah! Congratulations!" She exclaims while extending her hand for a handshake.

"Thanks!" I replied while smiling wide.

"You need to wear long gowns, and high heels and style your hair so that you would feel like Cinderella in the ballroom." The lady said.

Her outburst doesn't make any sense to my ear, so I became forced to ask. "Don't get me wrong, but are you married?" I ask her.

She bites her lower lips, before nodding her head promptly. "I'm a mother of three beautiful children." She declares

Woah! I didn't see that coming.

"Let's see any red beautiful long gown!" I declare because I don't mind putting on a long gown.

Besides, I need to feel extra comfortable while I'm being proposed to.

The lady brought a bunch of beautiful long gowns that were red.

Since I'm fat, I decided to try all the gowns on, and finally the extra large was the one that finally fit in.

"Let's get going before we arrive late," Ariel said, for we had spent a lot of time at the boutique trying to get a gown that fit properly.

Well. Being fat has its consequences.

We made our way back to my parent's mansion, and I decided to take my bath.

After taking my bath, I slide into the nice red gown that has a split cut at the front.

It's a bodycon gown that hugs my body properly.

Ariel helps with the makeup, and in no time I'm fully ready.

The gown had to hug my boobs, my big stomach, and likewise my butt.

I wore a White Claretta Tuscany leather heel mute.

My black hair was properly tied into a neat nice bond.

A red lip gloss was applied to my lips and currently, I look so stunning.

"You look amazing!" Ariel complimented while staring at me with her jaw slightly open. "Stop staring at me like that okay! You are making me feel nervous." I utter while biting my lower lips.

"Hahaha! Go and rock your day Okay." Ariel declares, before slightly hitting me on my butt.

I made my way towards the car, and Ariel still did the honor of being my driver.

She drives the car to sorpresa romàntica restaurants.

The time is just half past six, and I do think that it would be nice to wait for him.

I could see my workers, and they are seated at different tables while pretending to be customers.

I took a table for two because that is going to be a good way for my workers to take a clearer video of when I'm about to be proposed.

An hour passed, but Josh was nowhere to be found.

Another successful hour passed by, and Josh was still nowhere to be found.

The time is currently some minutes to nine. Gush! Where could Josh possibly be?

Just as I was about to make my way towards my employee to inform them that they could get going... Josh suddenly showed up.

"Hey, bae! What took you so long?" I questioned.

"I have to attend to my girlfriend, so I wasn't able to make it here on time," Josh replied before taking his seat.

Yeah! He usually talks about 'Girlfriend' but that's the other name for calling his cars.

"Have you ordered something?" He asked, and I nodded my head.

How would I be waiting for more than two hours without ordering something for myself?

"My bad!" He mumbles before forcing a smile on his face.

"I won't mind eating again just to make it more comfortable." I declare.

Some of my workers who are present are secretly videoing the conversation that I'm having with Josh.

"No need for food then!" He mumbles, before smiling.

Woah! I live to forever see that smile.

"Happy birthday sweetheart!" Josh said, before caressing my hand, that's currently placed above the table. "I have a birthday present for you." He added.

My heart immediately started to beat rapidly, as I bit my lower lips while smiling, waiting for what was ahead to come.

Josh uses his hands to search for someone in his pocket, and because he's currently using just one hand, it made the thing that he's about to show me fall to the ground.

"Give me a minute!" Josh said, before pulling his hands away from me, as he squatted on the floor.

He places his right leg on the floor while searching for the ring... I supposed.

My heart beat faster. Gush! This is it! I'm finally going to be engaged.

"Cornelia Jamarreon! would you mind....."

"YES! I'LL" I quickly exclaimed with a very loud voice while rising from my seat, without even waiting for him to complete his statement.

I stretch my finger forward while smiling.

"Woah! That was fast." He mumbles, before rising to hug me.

I hugged him back, and after pulling away from the hug, I immediately showed him my finger. "You haven't put the ring on!" I mumble while blushing.

"What ring?" Josh questioned.

I rolled my eyes because I believe he was trying to play some sort of silly game with me. "Please don't play games okay. I need to show the engagement ring to those that are currently videoing me."

Josh chuckled. "I had just said Cornelia Jamarreon. Would you mind breaking up with me?" Josh declares.

"You are kidding me right?" I asked while slightly hitting his shoulder.

"Why would I? And besides, I can never get married to a girl as fat as...."

Before he was able to complete his statement, I landed a heavy slap on his cheek.
