Chapter 2 Not your typical Heroine.

Heels sound echoed in the place under the bridge near the Southern Waters where above the bridge the rain made sure even if someone cried for help, it will not be heard by anyone. "I can even hear my own breathing. Crime Scene? Immediately inspection? Where are the policemen? What a boring plan... you people should come up with something that can excite me next time" she said casually twisting the time-turner pendant on her neck. "Is that why you sent your lover away? he looked good... my boys would have had fun... playing with him" a voice came from the flickering light under the bridge.

A group of men walked from who knows where with cigarettes in their hands which was nauseating to Jane. She knitted her eyebrows with a hint of anger when she heard him speak about Rey. A woman wearing a red dress which was barely covering anything in her body pasting herself all over the tall man of around 50 years old laughed coquettishly and said "If I were you... I wouldn't have let that man go. Maybe I'm smart enough to know that I should not walk around alone knowing there's a danger" for which the man holding her in every inappropriate place in front of those men replied, "that's why I like smart women like you".

Jane was nearly puking by the scene she was seeing in front of her and said under her breath "going home... I will tell Rey to bring holy water to wash my eyes and ears". Unable to control herself, Jane laughed which echoed the whole bridge and said "I may not be smart enough like you ma'am, after all, I'm just a graduate of The West Bridge University with a gold medal, earning enough to buy a dress that can cover my body" she seized that woman up and down and continued "Darling! I'm not your typical heroine... who needs a male lead to come and rescue me. I can handle your whole bunch of cockroaches. Where were you all hiding?" Yu Jane was casually strode along the corners of the bridge with a face that was distorted looking at the filth "don't tell me whoever probed and sent you here to kill me is so poor that you people had to hide in sewage? really? c'mon man! They should give you more money to kill me! It's not an easy task you know." she removed her overcoat slowly and folded it carefully while the entire team opposite to her were fuming in anger at her sarcasm. "Don't think of yourself so highly! if by end of today, my boys didn't remind you that you are nothing but a filthy woman, I will kill them all myself!" the man roared pushing that woman he was holding aside. "Boys! Go and do whatever. I want to see her begging me for her life" he sat on the stone and lighted that cigar which smelled just like sewage.

Not caring about anything he said, Jane slowly folded her overcoat and found a place that was clean and placed on it. Hearing footsteps from behind, she turned around to see those men walking toward her holding bats and wooden logs in their hands. "Goodness dear! I have OCD. Let's keep it clean ok?" she ignored them and removed the white formal shirt she was wearing and turned to place it over her overcoat revealing the black sports bra which clumsily covered her dragon tattoo on her right arm coiling all over her right arm from her shoulder to wrist and a flying phoenix on her back which faced the sky opening its wings wide on her shoulders. Jane moved her arms to stretch slowly making the tattoo look like the phoenix is ready to fly. "Shall we start?" she smiled slowly turning towards them.

A few hours later, no matter how much the rain washed those blood, it was continuously staining the whole place red.

The boss who was boosting a few moments ago was crawling backwards screaming, "I'm telling you... STOP! I will tell you all. Everything! Let me go! It was the 3 of those ministers whose children you arrested in a r*pe case last month." Jane, walking slowly bent down and lifted a hockey bat that was laying near a body with who knows how many broken bones. Realizing what she is about to do, that man started screaming "It was them! they wanted you dead! They gave us the pre-payment and told us that they will pay the remaining after we kill you! and it was 3 million dollars.. that's why we are here! I told you everything! now let me go!" his voice broke out of fear a hundred times before he could finish telling everything. She sat next to him and said in a very low voice "just for 3 million? I worth more than that, you know?". she played with her time-turner pendant switching off hidden camera in it for few seconds and smirked at him saying "I got what I wanted but my pride hurts! you know... I can't let you go alive from here!"

A loud scream tore the sky, immediately masked by the pouring rain. Jane stood up and walked to the edge where she kept her dress and wore it back neatly. Her hand which was dusting the coat suddenly stopped as she realized there was a person missing. For some unknown reason, Yu Jane felt nervous. With a sharp hearing, she knew the direction the person was approaching her. She turned around and immediately flinched. "Those old men were disgusting! You killed all of them and by killing you, 3 million and more are mine now!" the woman in red said looking straight into Jane's eyes. "I was not expecting this. Finally something... interesting!" a big smile emerged on Jane's face as the woman walked away wiping off the fingerprints from the knife and keeping it in the old man's hand. That was what Jane saw last before she closed her eyes.
