Chapter 5 No.5

I can say my life is perfect, even though we don��t have a child yet.

We haven��t had a big argument even though we��ve been together for over two years.

This is every woman��s dream �� to have a good, loving, and most of all is to have a faithful husband.

I��m happy with my life, and that��s not because of the money I��m having now. I am delighted, and what I��m feeling is genuine happiness.

I smiled as I parked my car in front of a clinic.

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary. My husband has every material thing he wants so I can��t decide what to give him. That��s why I��m hoping that my visit here has a positive result.

When I got inside, I immediately went straight to my doctor friend��s clinic.

��Good mor���� I stopped midway because of the man I saw inside the clinic.

My friend is a girl, so I��m not expecting a man to be here inside.

He was wearing a scrub suit while sitting in Dra Capestrana��s swivel chair. I think the guy is in his early 30��s. Clean-cut hair, fair skin, and I want to embarrass myself because of the smoothness of his face. There was not even a trace of a scar on his skin. But what really caught my attention was his hand, most especially his fingers.

��Am I that good-looking?�� The man smiled, so I had the chance to see his perfectly white teeth.

��Where��s Tricia?�� I made my voice formal so that he would not notice that I was embarrassed because what he said was true.

I was spellbound for a second because of his looks, and I can��t deny that.

��Why? Are you here to���� He stopped talking and looked at me.

There��s an emotion in his eyes that I couldn��t explain, especially since it was only for a moment.

��What��s your name?�� He stood up, and now I could see how tall he was.

A 6��7�� tall, I think. He is tall. His body build can be compared to a Korean artist.

I shook my head to erase this nonsense from my head.

I don��t know why I had to waste my time studying his character.

This is very unusual for me.

This is not me.

The door chime made a sound behind me, so I look where the door is.

��Oh, Mina. I��m glad you��re already here.��

I��m glad that Tricia is here because there��s an awkward atmosphere between the two of us, maybe because we��re the only two here inside.

I swallowed a few times before smiling at my friend. ��Yeah. I tried to call you before I went here, but I couldn��t reach your number, so I just went straight here.�� She took me by the arm and guided me to a chair near her desk. ��Seth, you can go home now.��

The man walked and came over to us �� no, to me. He approached me.

And because he was so tall, it seems that I��m looking up at the sun.

��I can��t deny the fact that you are beautiful in the distance, but you��re even more beautiful when you��re up close.�� He drew his face next to mine. ��Just like this,�� he added with his husky voice.

Tricia tapped the man on the shoulder. ��She��s beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, and brainy, but I��m sad to drop this to you, Little Brother, Mina is already married. Happily married, so if I were you, I��d go home,�� Tricia said to the guy in front of me. But her words only fell into deaf ears.

The guy named Seth stepped even near towards me, and I stepped back. This guy is giving me goosebumps because of the extreme closeness of our faces.

I can smell his manly scent. His minty breath gently caresses my face.

I felt my breathing stop because of the closeness of his face to mine, so when he finally steps away from me, I released my breath.

I felt relieved by this man��s withdrawal.

I thought he was going to stop, but he didn��t, so when he suddenly drew his face close to mine again, I back away.

Because of the sudden step I make, I was out of balance and almost fell if the man hadn��t been quick to catch me.

His left hand is holding my waist while his right hand is holding my hand.

He seems like enjoying what he��s doing because a playful smile is plastered on his face while I, on the other hand, my eyes widened because I almost had an accident.

��W-what the heck a-are you doing ?!��

I don��t know the reason why I stuttered��it is because I almost fell or because our bodies were closer together?

��I was the one who saved you; that��s what I did,�� he whispered to my ear.

My eyes squinted because of what he said. ��L-let me go!�� I shouted at him.

��If I let you go, you will be hurt because the floor will catch you ...�� He smiled again.

I looked to Tricia to ask for her help, so she approached us. She tapped the man on the shoulder again.

��Stop that, Seth. It��s not polite to treat a pregnant woman like that.��

The gradual widening of his eyes did not escape my eyes. I don��t know why there was confusion in his eyes because of what Tricia said.

Because of his reaction, I had the opportunity to get away from him.

��Are you okay, Mina?�� my friend immediately asked me.

I wiped the notch of sweat on my forehead before I answered her. ��Y-yeah... Thank you.��

��You��ll have to forgive that brother of mine because he��s less than a month when my mother gave birth to him.��

Tricia made me sit down first before she took water and gave it to me, then she approached her brother. He pinched the man on the side.

��As for you, Seth Austin Vanguard, go home. I can��t believe you��d include my friend in your dirty tactics.��

Seth straightened up before looking at me. ��What a dismay.�� He shrugged his shoulder. ��Well, I��m still rooting for you...�� I knew what he said was a joke, so I didn��t answer him.

When I set my eyes on him, he gave me a flying kiss before leaving the room.
