Chapter 9 Clumsy

Marcus took a quick glance at Butler Andre who immediately understood his decision,he couldn't help but feel a little sorry at Sophie so he could tell that she really gave it her all.

Marcus stood up and he was passed his coat by Butler Andre and spoke while moving out of the meeting room " you should have work under me but as I said earlier you are still clumsy" this time Sophie was infuriated she couldn't believe that there was still someone who who still addressed her as a child she literally had boobs although it wasn't a massive as would think it would, it showed that she was a full fledged adult.

"Hey" she shouted using all her strength into her voice as she ran out of the office to catch up with Marcus at the employee lounge, having no other choice than to stop since if the he didn't clarify on the issue on as lot of eyes where on him rumors were bound to be spreading around the company and would reach the ears of the media sooner of later. Sophie was taken aback a little by the abrupt stop of Marcus but a glance again at his face strengthen her resolute as she spoke " you think because you are a billionaire that you can treat any how you want, I literally ran all the way here since i couldn't a cab in this part of New York and you didn't even give me a reasonable reason why my proposal was rejected?"

This time Marcus really felt the Sophie had really gotten on her nerves,if his voice was and his aura was cold enough then this time they could feel shiver down there spine as he spoke " like I said before you still clumsy and you just answer your question yourself " Marcus didn't waste time either as he didn't have the luxury of time like everyone his father deadline was closing in and he didn't have a ideal solution to the problem, thinking about the whole situation he was in as he got into the car gave him a slight headache but that was still far from his misery.

The dreaded call that Butler Andre finally came with his worry fears, since there was no need hiding if anymore. He took the tab that was on the opposite of the driver seat, it took some minutes before he was able to get it all the latest news that was happening at the moment before he pass it to Marcus who was seated behind him, Marcus could already sense something was wrong by Butler Andre reaction to the call he received and the passing of the tab to him confirmed his fears. Marcus still looked as he always was as he was surfing the news website, he was literally trending since over a hundred billion dollars was donated to charity in his name. They was a lot of titles which he could help but laugh at the creativity of this journalist but the concern of the people move towards one direction that they were concerned at the family wealth in the hand on a prodigal son, Marcus returned the tab to Butler Andre before he spoke " how many days did we really have left "

Butler Andre sighted a relief internal since Marcus didn't asked how they time became shorter but if you put in his grandfather weird unpredictable action it was understandable that he didn't ask, Butler Andre didn't dally around much spoke " according to the lawyer, we have approximately three days before the full clause is activated " Marcus nodded as was silent for a bit before he spoke " drive towards the Void restaurant instead of the Mansion, I guess it would be interesting when they find out that the Lucas family company is selling it companies tomorrow and the proceed would be donated for charity " There wasn't any wrong in making donation but Marcus was sure that he already broke the record of a single individual donating that kind of money even the government wasn't capable of doing single handedly but he did , throwing the wealth with over four generations of the Lucas family had worked for.

Sophie wasn't having a pleasant time either. Immediately Marcus left a lot of glaring eyes on her, she quickly went to the office and had her stuff arranged. Luckily Ella was the only one that understands her " you don't have to worry about what happened, he is just going through something. Yesterday he rejected fifty proposals alone until Andre forced him to take a break" Sophie wasn't sure if Emily's words were true or she was just saying it to comfort her . The latter which was true, it really helped her calm down and Ella helped her get out of the building using the exclusive elevators.

Although Sophie wasn't sure why Emily helped her out but she thanked her profusely before she left, not wanting to make the same mistake she placed a call to Dave and asked him to send a car to come get her. She still remember that Dave told she could call before she left for the interview but she was late and what was more frustrating about the incident was that all her efforts that she made towards the proposal was instantly thrown out into the drain and she never felt so powerless before, to think that she once thought he was handsome his manners clearly spoilt the good image she had of him.

It wasn't long before the driver that Dave had sent over to have her picked arrived much earlier than she had expected, luckily there wasn't much traffic so it took less time for them to reach the building. She went straight up towards the administration floor which was also the top floor of the building where her office was located. She really felt the need to have a drink at this moment to further calm her emotions down. She passed the meeting room and was surprised to see the team was gathering, since it was kinda of their new hobby to be sticking together she almost disregarded it but she spotted Dave amidst them.
