Chapter 2 Hallucination

Priya Pov

I was startled and woke up when cold water splashed directly on my face.

"Where am I?" I panicked, looking around my surroundings.

Am I kidnapped or what?

"No no! Don't kill me? " I yelled at the top of my lungs.

"Hey Priya, relax. It's me, Rosie." Rosie pulled me into reality while screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Rosie?"

I exhaled a sigh of relief when I realised I was in my room with Rosie.

But wait, how did I end up here?

My hands shot up immediately to wipe the water off my face.

"What happened?" I asked Rosie,

"I want to ask you the same question.

"What happened?" She questioned me back.

"Why did you go inside that old building?" She yelled at me.

When Rosie said that old building, I started to remember each and every accident.

"Before that, you tell me, how did I come back home?"

"I brought you back, dammit." She told me the truth.

She came!

"How did you know that I was in that building?"

"I called you so many times but you did not receive it, so I thought there was something wrong with it. Then after that, I tracked your location by your phone number and came to know where you were."

"When I came, you were unconsciously laying down there inside the building."

"Amm, actually I was roaming the streets because it was so beautiful. I felt like all this was calming me, so I walked further and I spotted that old building, which I felt intriguing, so I thought to go inside and have a look."

"What did you find inside?"

"A monster." I screamed at the top of my lungs while remembering the moments inside the building.

She chuckled back!

Holy crap! Now why the hell is she laughing like a mad girl?

"Why are you laughing now?" I'm frustrated.

"When I came, you were there alone, lying unconscious." Rosie explained the situation.

No, this can't happen!

"Aghhh believe me, I really did see the monster. I saw him change from a human to a monster. He told me that he was the lord of hell. "

My body started tumbling in fear, however I remember the moments inside of the building.

"No, Priya, it's just your hallucination." Rosie said.

"Hallucination?"

"Yes, you recently discovered that this city is home to supernatural creatures, which is why a normal human experiences hallucinations when thinking about such things."

I felt all those things. My heart beat is still fast. I am still shivering thinking about that moment." I told her, showing my shivering and unstable body.

"Priya, I can understand you haven't faced any of these yet. That's why you are doing it over. You had a normal life, but now you are here and it's not normal anymore. Everything here is related to the supernatural world. " She cupped my face and tried to explain to me everything.

"Hallucination can also look like real visuals, but they are not real."

"But how did I go into a hallucination?" I asked her while trying to understand the situation.

"The building in which you had gone was not a normal building. Some people have seen ghosts there and also said that there are monsters there, but after the police investigation, they found nothing in there and they sealed the place for the public's safety."

I'm paying my attention towards her and trying to understand her words, but seriously, this supernatural world is so different than our normal journey.

"My grandmother said such things could only be hallucinations." Rosie said, dragging me back into reality.

"When I came, there was no one around you. This is another proof that you are just a hallucination." Rosie said

"You're calming me down, so you don't need to worry. You are safe and I am with you, so calm down." She cupped my face and gave me confidence.

"Now get freshened up quickly; it's our first day in college today." Her words piqued my interest.

"How long have I been sleeping?"

"Since twelve hours."

"When you fall unconscious, after that you are sleeping like a pig." She chuckled

"I didn't have a choice. That's why I threw water on your face." She scolds me like my mother.

"Okay, my second mother, I am going to freshen up now."

"Better, I will prepare breakfast for both of us." Rose said and disappeared from the room.

I stood up and opened the balcony, and the sun rays straight fell into my face. I closed my eyes and felt the warm gaze of the sun falling and smiled.

I opened my eyes to see New Orleans beauty, but the next second my eyes widened. My eyes travelled to the old building.

Where I was yesterday, the building can be seen clearly from here. That is the topmost building in this place.

But the question was, was that really a hallucination?

Why do I feel everything is real but not a hallucination?

Aghh, I am going insane. I wiped out everything from my mind and dressed up myself. Today is the first day, so I dressed up beautifully.

I came out of my bedroom and walked straight to the kitchen.

"May I help you, Rosie?" I asked her.

"No honey, I am done." Rosie said she was serving the breakfast on two different plates.

"Here you go." She fed me with her hand.

"How is the breakfast?"

"Pretty good."

"Thank you." She chuckled.

"Hey, have you gone through our university?" I asked her.

"Yeah, and I inquired about our university." She told me

"What are the results?" I questioned her.

"This is best for students to grow their career path. I have heard that we have a lot of activities and international competitions to go ahead in different fields

"And the best thing is that my cousin's sister is also studying at the same university."

Wow, that's great!

We continued our talk about our families and about New Orleans.

Rosie drives the car to the college. We get out of the car where our college is proudly standing in front of us.

My heart is pounding like a drum and my palms are drenched in sweat.

My dream college!

I and Rosie stepped ahead together.

The college is too big. Some of the students were singing songs at the entrance, and on the other hand, some were gossiping.

And some people are freshers like us, so they are searching for the classes and places. It was a big campus with a good number of students.

"Hey, stay here. I will bring my cousin to guide us." Rosie said.

"Yeah, sure, but come soon!"

"Yeah." Rosie disappears from the place.

"Umm, what will I do here alone? Let me rom around a bit till Rosalie comes back."

I stepped ahead, looking at my surroundings.

There is a library on the first floor; some students were studying there, sitting around the corners. I can't be here because I can't stay silent for a minute.

I walked a bit, and I came to the second floor.

The second floor was much more beautiful than the first floor.

There is a college radio station ahead and next to another block, a music room where students can do their extra activities.

I didn't realise that I came to the fifth floor like that. bdw The last floor is the 8th.

Ahhh, it has so many crowds.

But the question is, why are there so many students dressed in sports gear?

Then my eyes caught the floor headline.

"Sports floor"

"I see, this is the activity floor. It holds so many groups and games."

"Hey girl." A husky voice grabbed my attention and made me look at the other side.

A handsome young man was standing beside me.

I rolled my eyes at his height; he is so tall and handsome.

The look on his face is warm and genuine.

"Yes?"

"What are you doing?"

Oh fuck, maybe I shouldn't come here after all. I am fresher.

I expressed my regret to him.

"Hey, relax." He chuckled softly.

"I am also a fresher; today is my first day in college."

Wow, that's really a coincidence. I thought I would get bullied by the seniors.

"My name is Ronald." He put his hand forward.

"My name is Priya." I made a handshake with me

"So Priya, what are you taking?" His question confused me.

"Sorry?"

"You came here to take a shot, right?"

"No."

Okay, I'll go over everything with you.Our college handles both the studies and the sports part of our lives. Like, we both need the extra circular activities, so one of the rules is that every student has to take part in sports. "

Sports!

"I have no interest in sports." I rolled my eyes.

He chuckled softly.

"Is it necessary to take part in outdoor sports only?"

"Not compulsory, you can take part in indoor sports too, like chess." His words comfort me.

That's fine!

"What are you taking part in?"

"Saucer, boxing, running, and wrestling."

"You're a true sportsman."My jaw dropped.

He chuckled again.

My phone rang, and it made me look at the screen caller.

It's Rosie's call!

"I have to attend this call. Excuse me."

"Sure."

I turned my heels ahead at the same time someone bumped at me.

"Ahhhh." I was near the stairs.

I slipped and I was about to fall from the fucking 5th floor.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh."

"Hey, Priya." Ronald stepped ahead to try to catch me, but he was too late.

No, this is not happening. I can't die on my first day of college. I closed my eyes hopelessly.

But suddenly, somebody held me by my waist and I felt like I was floating in air.

"How can I be in the air?"

Am I dead?

I opened my eyes to find a blue-eyed young man holding me in his arms.

His two hands wrapped around my waist.

Who is this young, dashing man?

"Have I come to hell?" I yelled inside.

"Stop the nonsense, Priya."

"Hell mein kyun hota hai itna handsome boy."My mind and heart scold me back.

When a thousand flash lights reflected in my face, I blinked twice and looked at my surroundings.

Students are all taking my photos with their phones.

"Priya." Rosie moved ahead of me.

"Priya." Ronald quickly came up beside me.

Stranger Boy got me down, but I was still into his eyes.

"Are you okay?" Ronald and Rosie asked in unison.

"You all stop taking photos and turn off your phones." A stranger yelled at the top of his lungs.

His order was strong and everybody took off their phones.

"If even one photo of this incident goes viral, you guys will not be able to stay in this college; I will throw them out, and I mean it."boy warned them.

Everything stopped and all the students kept their phones inside.

Strange! Who is this strange boy?

Why are students obeying his every single order?

"It's time for class. Everyone go to their class." A stranger ordered them.

The next second, everybody goes to their classrooms.

"Hey." I turned to a stranger.

"Are you blind?" He asked me with his serious eyes.

"Excuse me."

"If I would not have held you, then you would have been dead any second now."

I decided to shut my mouth.

Yes! My mistake is mine. I didn't see who was coming.

"Hey relax, she isn't at fault. Somebody collided with her, that's why she slipped," Ronald told him while supporting me.

Stranger eyes travelled to Ronald's direction.

"Blaming others will not hide our own mistake." His single word shut Ronald's mouth.

"When we are in a crowd, it's our responsibility to look out at our surroundings." Because one mistake will cost our life here, "he said straight, looking into my eyes."

"Jacob, sir! I got your point. I will explain. " Rosie's cousin interferes in the middle.

My eyes only grabbed his name, Jacob!

Jacob didn't say anything back, he only looked angrily at me and walked away.

Now what did he mean? I will not take my life willingly.

"By the way, who are you?" Rosie asked Ronald.

"He is Ronald. He is our classmate."

"And Ronald, this is Rosie, my friend."

Ronald and Rosie exchanged a handshake.

"And meet them. She is my cousin and our senior."

"Hello, senior." I and Ronald said, "Together.

"He is Daniel. He is also our classmate."

"Hello guys, nice to meet you."

I simply smiled at him.

I was so scared thinking about how I would make friends, but thanks to Rosalie, I got my group on the first day itself.

"Hey dude, no worries. If it's about fun, then let's blast it." Ronald said.

Everyone laughs.

"By the way, senior

Who is the boy who saved Priya? "

Yes, I had the same question.

"His name is Jacob, and he is the youngest and hottest professor here."

Professor!

I looked up at the fifth floor. He is just a professor, but why do I feel his touch so strongly, like he is something?

God! Why everything in New Orleans is complicate, how will my journey in this city and in this college be?
