Chapter 3 Date Me

Madeline became slightly flustered in an instant. Unsure if she simply misunderstood his words, she took out her employee's identification card from her bag and said with a smile, "I didn't come to the wrong place. As you can see, I work here."

"Oh, is that right?" Julius furrowed his eyebrows and took the employee's card from her hand to check it out. He pursed his lips and said, "Unfortunately, you are now fired. Please leave the premises immediately."

Madeline's jaw dropped in shock. She deliberately put on her best make-up today so that even if she was not that beautiful and enchanting, he might not dislike her at a glance and dismiss her.

Wasn't he interested in a fashionable and well-groomed woman?

"Wait a minute!"

Regaining her senses, she rushed forward and stopped Julius from walking away.

"Can you at least tell me the reason why you just fired me? I strongly believe that dismissing an employee because of their appearance is not convincing. You can't overlook my remarkable working ability!"

Julius stopped in his tracks and shook his head. After glancing at her, he turned around and said, "You are here to work. Look at yourself in the mirror. Why do you dress up like this? Your mere presence disrupts the efficiency and focus of our male workforce."

"Huh? Why would you say that?" With a surprised face, Madeline lowered her head and adjusted the plunging neckline of her dress. She was unaware that if she exerted a little more effort to pull it, her perky round breasts hidden underneath her clothes would be exposed.

"Well, take a look around and tell me what you think." After giving her a meaningful glance, Julius looked away.

Following his gaze, Madeline suddenly realized that all the male employees in the office were ogling her curvy body.

Her face immediately turned red from all the attention. But then a bright idea entered her mind. She looked at each of the men and raised her voice. "On top of my stellar working ability in the office, I am confident that I could also instantly improve their work efficiency if you let me keep my job."

Julius raised his eyebrows slightly. Her words had clearly piqued his interest. Crossing his arms over his chest, he nodded at her, signaling her to continue.

Satisfied at his reaction, Madeline turned to the male employees and spoke slowly. "I'll go on a date with whoever finishes his work first today."

Her bold statement worked like magic.

Within seconds, they began to type vigorously in front of their computers, immersing themselves in their work with great enthusiasm.

Standing silently beside her, Julius glanced at Madeline with a faint smile before turning around to leave.

Madeline wasn't going to let this chance slip away. She hurried to catch up with him and asked with a flustered smile, "So can I have my job back? What do you say, Mr. Glyn?"

Without breaking a stride, Julius tossed the employee's card to her.

He was a smart businessman. There was no reason to refuse anything that was good for the company.

Madeline caught the employee's card and stood in a daze. She watched Julius enter his office and took a moment to process everything that had just happened. Clenching her fists triumphantly, she grinned widely and quietly cheered for herself.

She believed it was only a matter of time before Julius changed his indifferent attitude towards her.

Nearly an hour later, her handsome boss emerged from his office with a briefcase in hand and walked towards the exit. Madeline noticed him and immediately gasped in astonishment.

Staring at Julius in disbelief, she didn't expect the result to come out so soon.

In less than an hour, he had already finished his work. Julius wore a nonchalant expression as he walked towards the elevator.

This unexpected development was a pleasant surprise for Madeline.

Things turned out exactly as she had hoped for! In this case, she didn't even need to think about how to deal with those dull men with glasses!

After checking her face in the mirror, she grabbed her bag and ran into the elevator.

"Ahem! Mr. Glyn, I'm a person of my word. I'm pleased to inform you that you're the first one to finish work today. Tell me, where are we going for our date?" She looked up at him with a bright smile.

Julius cast a cold glance at her and snorted in disdain. "Date me?"

She smiled and exclaimed, "Yes! It would be a pleasure to go on a date with you."

Julius looked away indifferently and glanced at his wristwatch. "Sorry, but I'm not interested in you. Besides, I have more important things to do."

As soon as he finished speaking, the elevator finally arrived on the first floor. Seeing him walk out of the elevator, Madeline was stunned. She was certain that there was a spark between them despite his immediate refusal.

After all, she had encountered several men over the years who said one thing and meant another.

His rejection was not a big blow to Madeline. After regaining her composure, she continued to chase after him.

"Mr. Glyn, why don't you reconsider? I am an obedient woman who will follow your every command. You don't have to worry about me. If you want to end the date, then I will leave immediately. There's no harm in taking me out for a simple meal. Let's see what happens. Maybe you'd enjoy my company!"

Julius stopped walking abruptly. He gazed at her with intense eyes and said, "See you at the company gate at six o'clock sharp tomorrow evening. Don't make me wait."

What just happened? Did he finally agree?
