Chapter 3 Take Her To Safety

You aren't bad!

"My child isn't evil!

"My child isn't bad!

A woman was running very fast with a basket in her hand. She was looking back afraid that her chasers might catch up with her.

The woman kept chanting and her eyes never left the basket, her legs were struck with thorns and figs.

However, she didn't seem to care. Her entire attention was on the basket.

She opened the basket and she brought out a very beautiful baby. The baby had very beautiful amber eyes and very long hair.

The baby smiled as soon as she was brought out. Her smile was so bright that the sun looked inferior.

Ariel noticed this and a tear escaped her eyes.

"How can you be bad?"

"How can you be evil?" Ariel cried as she hugged the baby.

"You smile so beautifully and light up the sky. So, how can you be evil?"

"I will take you to safety my child and I promise you that I will find you in the future."

Ariel kissed the baby's forehead. Then she placed her back in the basket as she walked to the side where the tide was low and she placed the basket there.

"Luna, will she be okay?" The other lady asked and Ariel started cried again.

"I hope so. I just hope my baby stays okay." Ariel replied amidst tears.

Suddenly an idea struck Ariel and she pulled the other lady who was also her Maid aside and took her hand.

"Juliet, please stay with her."

"Huh?" Juliet asked perplexed. She didn't understand what the Luna was trying to say.

"I want you to stay here with her and watch over her." You will follow her everywhere and find a way to be with her." Ariel ordered.

"But I am supposed to only serve you Luna" Juliet said sadly.

Ariel took her hands in hers as she folded hers and pleaded.

"If you do this, you will still be serving me." Ariel pleaded.

Juliet lifted her head and met Ariel's gaze.

"How do you mean, Luna?"

"You will serve her just like you will serve me."

"But..." Juliet was about to protest.

"Listen to me Juliet, You won't show yourself to anyone and you will just stay hidden and watch whoever picks her up. Then you will find a way to be with her and take care of her" Ariel explained.

"My dear Luna, How can I do this?"

"You will do this and that is an order!" Ariel shouted softly.

Juliet immediately knelt before the luna to receive her order. Then Ariel held her hands again and pleaded.

"Please Juliet, Help me save her."

"I will do as you ask, dear Luna." Juliet stated with a bow.

Ariel hugged her appreciatively.

"I will forever remember this favor."

Ariel immediately ran back, making sure she took a different route, so as to lure her chasers away from the Seaside and Juliet.

Ariel ran really fast and she Soon got to the border of the blood moon pack. She crossed the border and started taking slow steps as she was starting to feel dizzy from running too much after a very difficult delivery.

Ariel fell and every effort she made to get up proved abortive. She decided to lay there till she became strong enough to run.

She could hear the voices of her chasers as it drew closer.

"There she is!" She heard someone yell before she finally closed her eyes.

*Blood Moon Pack, The Healer's House....*

Ariel opened her eyes and she looked around to see that she was back in Lucy's house.

"How did I get here?" She wondered as she looked around. She noticed Kevin sitting beside her.

"Ariel" He smiled seeing her become conscious.

Ariel looked away from him and she closed her eyes again.

"I'm sorry Ariel." Kevin apologized.

He took her hands and kissed them. Ariel remained silent. She didn't move or turn around to look at him.

"Please, don't be mad at me, Ariel."

Kevin's heart was heavy after giving the order to have his only child killed. He could feel something tearing his heart out of his chest when he gave the order to have his baby killed.

However, he did that because he had no choice. He is not only a father but also the leader of a pack.

He also knew that he has to remain strong to help Ariel recover. But when he was informed that she had taken off after delivering the baby he felt empty.

At first he was shocked to hear that. His heart was immediately gripped by fear thinking she had left him alone.

He was filled with immense joy when she was brought back to him. He became hopeful again and prayed to have another child with her because only that can heal Ariel's wounded heart.

"Please don't be mad at me Ariel" Alpha Kevin begged, but Ariel didn't reply or even look at him.

A maid rushed in to announce the arrival of the elders but they barged in before she could announce them.

"Good day to you, Dear Alpha and Luna."

"To what do I owe this rudeness you just displayed?" Alpha Kevin barked angrily.

His eyes stared daggers at the daring elders.

"Why did you barge in on me, like that?!

The elders bowed their heads in shame. They couldn't dare to raise their heads, Especially as they could hear the venom in the Alpha's tone.

"Why have you come here?!" Kevin barked.

The elders remained quiet and couldn't bring themselves to say what they wanted to, they looked at each other for sometime before one of the elders gathered enough courage to speak.

"We are here to ask the Luna where she hid the abominable child?

Ariel clenched her fist under the sheets and she slowly opened her eyes.

"What do you want?" She yelled.

The elders became surprised, seeing the Aura around the Luna. She has suddenly transformed from being meek and sweet to being brash and brazen.

Ariel sat up and shot them a fierce look. "She has gone, far away from you all!

"I took her to a place where she'll be safe.

"You'll never find her!
