Chapter 2 PAIN

*Flashback*

"Mother? Mother? Where are you?" I shouted while stuttering as my little voice filled the air. I cried once again because of the pinning pain on my little chest. My heart is literally burning in the cause that I can't comprehend.

"Mother! I can't take it any longer!" I screamed once more as the pain intensifies. I can feel fear and nervousness all over my system as questions and uneasiness swallowed my little body. I can bare any intense pain in my body. I am too weak for that kind of sufferings.

I tighten my grip on my chest with my tiny hand as I felt another set of tears escaping my eyes. I can't breath with ease because there is a lump on my throat that causing me this panic. I am scared inside and out.

My situation is getting worse day by day. I used to keep it in and ignore the pain yet today is different from before. I feel like I am on the edge of my life as it makes my heart tighter with every beat.

"Vreihya! Iha! Calm down!" my mother shouted even though she is quite far as I can sense her running quickly on the hall way. She is calming me down yet her voice is full of panic. She always feel worried whenever I encounter any kind of pain whether it's a plain scratch or a bleeding tiny wound.

She quickly entered the room that caused the door to have a loud thud. She swiftly lifted my body away from the cold marbled floor of the palace. I am only nine years old yet it feels like fate wants to end my existence right at this very moment. I can feel how my mother's body started to tremble yet she is giving all her might to hide her panic and appear as strong as she can be.

"Mother! It hurts so much! What is happening to me?" I asked while struggling to say every word. I don't know why this is happening to me lately and why I am the only vampire that is suffering with this while the other vampire with the same age as mine are not having any trouble with this.

I continued my loud crying while she is embracing me ever so tightly in her arms. Just like how she does every time that I am in pain. She panicked as she tapped my cheek repeatedly while my eyes are starting to get blurry. I felt like my strength and life source exiting my tiny body. Am I dying while this young?

"Vreihya! Your body is seeking the mortal", my mother exclaimed in extreme panic that I can't focus on. My body is seeking for what?

"Mother please do anything! I can't hold on much longer! Mother please!" I cried for help and assurance. This pain might be deadly but I will never let this take me away from my mother. I am her only treasure in this world and I knew deep into my heart that her heart will bleed to death with my untimely death.

"Find me a cure! I beg of you!" I begged her as I felt weaker and unable to move an inch.

"I am not capable of doing anything my child! He is your only cure," she said sadly that caused me to feel puzzled and clueless. Who is the "he" that my beloved mother is talking about? All of the sudden I heard her cry that doubled the pain that I am already feeling. Please mother! Don't cry! You're breaking my painful heart.

"What is causing this pain mother?" I asked despite the fact that I can't even hear myself speaking. I want to be enlighten right now. I feel that my forbearance of not getting any idea about this is long enough to cut off my patience.

"You're not on the right age to understand everything," she quickly replied while biting her lower lip to stop the sobs that are trying to escape.

My mother alerted herself again when a new sets of screams exited my mouth due to this unbearable pain. River of tears flowed down from my eyes together with a blinding red light coming from my painful chest. I screamed on top of my lungs as fear invaded my whole body as this strange light started to grew bigger.

I don't know what to think or do and everything was cut off when the light went darker in shade as my chest became more painful that feels like something is ripping my heart open. " Mother! Mother! I am scared!" I screamed while my lips are trembling together with my intense outburst of fresh new tears. Her embrace became tighter as I almost fell from her arms due to my intense movements.

"Please stop! I am begging! Please stop!" I repeatedly screamed on top of my lungs as if my mother can do anything about this just to stop or ease the pain. I can't even hear anything because I am crumbling and my eerie screams are echoing on my head. I instantly felt extra terrified when the light was mixed with a hint of black. That color seems to terrify all of my nerves. What's the meaning of that?

"Mother! Mother!" I shouted while tightening my grip on her royal dress. All I can hear in the four corner of my room is my horrified scream.

"Vreihya!" I heard my uncle's voice in panic as he hurriedly entered the room. His terrified and worried eyes are the one who registered on my sight.

"Alonzo! Don't tell me that this is the day! My daughter is too young for this! Please this is not the right time!" my mother terrifyingly said as I felt my body being lifted by my uncle.

"If her body is needing it right now then we are not capable of going against it," uncle worriedly replied to my scared mother. My mother cried loudly with that feedback while I felt how my body became stiff and stone cold. It feels like my whole body were dried out.

My screams and loud crying earlier was replaced with an inability to utter any words as my mouth went dry. I am too weak to make even a weak squeak using my voice. My loudness is nowhere to be found as the room went silent.

I blankly stared on the ceiling feeling as dazed as I ever could while the light became bigger and more blinding. My surroundings became too blurry while my capability to move even an inch had already vanished.

"Vreihya! Listen to me Iha. If there is a force that is pulling you don't restrain your self. Don't fight against it because it might kill you," my uncle quickly said while I am still in his arms not moving an each or even blinking. I feel that the light itself is swallowing my whole body.

I shook my head because I don't want to lose my will to restrain. I will never let this pain get the best of me because I am scared on what will happen to me.

"Vreihya! You need to do this because it might kill you," uncle shouted out of worry and panic. Every time that I am trying to fight against it my chest became more painful in the way that I can stand it. I can't do it! I am way too scared!

"Dear! I am begging you! Just don't fight it! Don't restrain!" my mother begged with all her might and with that I surrendered myself and let whatever force is it that pulls me. The blinding red and black light quickly shifted into a light blue hue as I let it take over me.

I slowly felt coldness while the feeling of my uncle's embrace started to disappear as my body started to feel like floating. My vision became completely blurry while all of the sudden I can't feel any pain in my chest.

Everything became blank as well as my mind. I felt a gentle breeze on my skin that makes my dress lightly dancing with it. My back felt the soft grass where I am lying right now. The unbearable pain seems to vanished on my chest as I felt that relaxing ambiance of the place where I am right now.

I feel my strength returning but my mind is filled with questions and unfamiliarity behind the reason why the pain magically disappeared.

"Mother? Uncle?" I am confused and a bit nervous about my new surrounding and it grew bigger as I felt that no one seems to hear my call. I quickly stand away from the soft green grasses. A wide grass fields filled my eyes as well as the tall trees around it. Where Am I?

What kind of place is this?
