"It's morning?! Maybe I should quit, maybe I could drop my resignation letter before he comes in today. Yep, That's what I'll do". She got to work quite early, only the janitors had arrived. "Perfect. I'll just go to his office and drop the letter and run off". She mumbled to herself. She got to the floor of Mr. Sinclair's office and looked around to make sure the coast was clear. She stood at the door of his office... "Yeah, his car is not in the parking lot which means he's probably stacked up somewhere with his lady love". She rolled her eyes at 'lady love'. Then she gathered the courage. She gently opened the door and looked inside. She saw no one, so she entered the office. "Okay, the coast is clear. No disturbing sexual activity happening at the moment. Operation drop the letter and not get caught is in motion". She mumbled to herself Again! Then she walked to his desk and dropped the letter. She stood there, glaring at the desk... "Lord knows what they must have done on this poor furniture last night. Talking about knocking, I'll knock your pretty little head off, slut! And you Mr. Sinclair, you're so disgusting!!!"
"Am I now?"
"Aaaaaahhh!" She jumped from her spot. "M-Mr. Sinclair?" He had been leaning against the door of his office closet, enjoying the drama. He wore a blue suit with a white inner shirt and black shoes, looking handsome like always.
He walked towards her and stood right in front of her, his eyes fixated on hers. Her mouth opened and closed like a fish without a single word coming out. He looked at the piece of paper she placed on the table, picked it up, and read through it. His eyes shot up to her face, this time, they were furious. "What is this, Miss Moore? Resignation letter?" He held the paper up with only his thumb and index finger as though it was filth.
"Uhm, Mr. Sinclair I I just, you know, I want to travel to some other country" Seriously? Was that all you could come up with? She mentally questioned herself and bit her bottom lip at the lousy lie she just told.
Mr. Sinclair brought the paper up to her face, tore it to shreds, and threw the pieces on her. "Don't ever do this again". He left her there, walked to the other side of the desk, and sat on his chair. "And explain to me how I'm disgusting".
"Huh? Mr. Sinclair, I only meant that because, you... Nothing, I'm sorry".
He watched her for some more time, observing her behavior. She was so uncomfortable under his stare, his dangerous-looking eyes gave her jitters. He fixed his gaze on her face, his forehead wrinkled in concentration. It seemed like he was doing it on purpose to see her reaction.
"Mr. Sinclair, can I go now?"
"I should be asking you why you've been standing there for so long. I need to work". He said with a straight face.
She quickly turned and walked out of his office, trying not to walk too fast so her butt doesn't shake. She got to her desk and sat down. "What in the world just happened? ".
He had a way of making her feel so small and insignificant.

Later that day, Mr. Sinclair had asked Jolene not to allow anyone to disturb him because he was on a conference call with a fashion company in France. Jolene was busy organizing some files when someone walked past her, she looked up and saw Kiana heading for Mr. Sinclair's office. She quickly called out to her. "Miss Kiana, please don't open the door, Mr. Sinclair said not to disturb him". She quickly ran to the door and reached there just in time before Kiana could open it. "Miss Kiana, if you can just wait a little bit, Mr. Sinclair will be free shortly". She said politely.
Kiana sized her up with her eyes, in a degrading way. "And who are you to tell me when to see my Craig?"
"Well, your Craig is having a zoom meeting with some investors...." But before she could finish explaining, the supermodel pushed the door open and walked in. Mr. Sinclair was still on the call, so he ignored the two of them.
Kiana turned to Jolene who was standing outside the door. "Bye" She pushed and shut the door in her face almost giving her a broken nose.
Ah! So rude. Some supermodel she is. She went back to her seat. After one hour, the telephone rang. She picked. "Yes Sir".
"My office, now". And he cut the call.
'He sounds angry. What did I do now?' She mumbled. On entering his office, he saw Kiana sitting on his lap, kissing the side of his face. He glared at her as she walked in.
"Sir you called..."
"What did I tell you earlier?"
"Not to let anyone disturb you"
"Why then did you give Kiana permission to enter my office?".
"What? No, I did not"
"Get out".
"But sir I didn't... "
"Get. out".
She saw Kiana smiling deviously, that snake lied against her. She walked away, leaving the office for the two 'lovebirds'.

An hour later,
She needed to inform him about a company that contacted them, but she was not quick to enter this time, remembering the events of the previous day. As she was about to knock, she stopped herself from doing so because of the noises that were coming from inside the office. It was Kiana moaning her head off, it seemed she and Mr. Sinclair were at it again.
She walked back to her desk and sat down, tired. She sighed. Why does his being with another woman bother her so much? "Stop it, Jo, don't kid yourself. She is, she is drop-dead gorgeous and you? You're just a plain Jane. Don't even think about it". Her mind wandered off to when she woke up on his bed. "I wish I could remember everything, but sadly, I can't. Maybe it's best that way".
She decided to leave when it was time to. No point in waiting, she thought. The rest of the evening was spent with a bucket of ice cream, a television set, and her miserable self crying her eyes out whilst watching some dumb teen romance movie.
