Chapter 5 He hasn't changed

Lisa's POV

A new day has dawned bringing with it dreams and aspirations. I rolled uncomfortably on the bed as I suddenly felt the reflection of the sun rays forcefully making it's way into the room and resting on my face.

A loud hiss left my lips as i flipped over to back the sun's reflection, but i could still feel the heat. And angrily, i sat up to behold Andrew. He was standing closed to his wardrobe and fixing up his blue tie. He was already dressed in a black suit, looks like he is getting ready for work.

Jerk. I thought he was going to become a little bit polite after yesterday's drama . But I was wrong, he would never change.

"Hey! Why did you have to open the curtains? Are you blind or what? Can't you see that I am still sleeping?" I fired.

" And can't you see that I am dressing up? Why should I care if you are still sleeping? " He snapped and bent down to wear his shoes.

I shot daggers at him but decided not to speak further. I won't let him ruin my day. I sat on the bed and quietly watch him do his thing. He ran the comb through his hair and I couldn't ignore the fact that he was indeed handsome.

He had a soft baby face, curly hair, pink lip, broad shoulders like that of a demi god. No wonder those ladies kept on stealing glances and throwing themselves at him.

He picked up his briefcase and without uttering a word, he walked towards the door. Finally! Good riddance.

He stopped walking and turned to look at me. Did he hear what I just said?

"I am leaving for work. If you need anything just call on the helpers and they would assist you ." He said. I raised my eyebrows, surprised. Why is he acting cool all of a sudden, it is so creepy.

"Don't think I care about you. I just don't want anyone to say that I'm being a negligent husband " He added.

I raised my eyebrows. I should have seen this coming. "What?" I exclaimed.

"And one more thing, don't you dare try to cause trouble for anyone or I won't spare you" He added before walking out.

The nerves.

" Don't you dare try to cause trouble for anyone or I won't spare you" I mimicked. "To hell with you and your freaking advise, I don't need any of them"

I hope he hears that too. I brushed off the hair from my face as I tried not to get angry. I have had enough of his nonesense. He is just so lucky that my hands are tied, if not I would have taught him the consequences of living in the same room with a lioness.

I suddenly heard the door bell ring and without waiting for my reply, my so called mother in-law barged into my room.

Did I just called her my mother in-law?

I don't think she is my mother in-law yet, because Andrew hasn't accepted her as his mother. In short, he hates her and it's obvious she detest him the more.

"Good morning ma" I faked a smile, standing up from the bed.

"Good morning. So how did it went? I just saw your husband leaving the room now, hope you managed to seduce him? " She asked, expectantly.

I gave her a derisive look. " Why didn't you tell me that your step son is so rude and stubborn. He is already making my life a living hell. It will be really difficult to win him over"

She scoffed. " Does that mean that you can't do the job? Huh? Have you forgotten all the things Hana and her family has done for you?"

" When did I say that I can't do the job? I have agreed to embark on this mission and I'm not going back so be rest assured" I gave her a dispirited smile.

" Better or else I won't hesitate to report you to Hana"

I looked at her, irritated. I can't believe this witch has two children and she goes around treating other people's children like they were nothing.

"You know what? I think it's time you leave my room because I don't know what my husband might do if he meets you here" I said with a tight lipped smile.

" What? Are you threatening me?" She asked.

" No, why would I do that? I am just showing my concern" I maintained my innocent smile.

" Well, I don't need your concern. I was about leaving anyway" She fired and turned to leave but paused.

" And one more thing, don't ever try to play smart with us. Do your job and don't try to play tricks, my eyes are always on you" She added before disappearing through the door.

As soon as I could no longer hear the clacking of footsteps down the hallway, I let out all the anger inside of me through a scream. Thank goodness, Andrew's room is a sound proof.

When I got satisfied and tired of shouting, I fell back to the bed as tears flowed freely from my eyes.

At that moment, the door bell rang.

"Who is that?" I asked but there was no response. Just then, I realized that the room was a sound proof. Why in the world did that jerk had to make his room a sound prove?

I stood up from the bed as a hiss escaped from my mouth. I walked over to the door and pulled it open to behold a lady. She was dressed in a uniform which clearly shows that she was one of the helpers.

"Good morning ma. Breakfast is ready and grandpa requests for your presence"

" Good morning. Please tell grandpa that I will be down shortly " I forced a warm smile.

She nooded positively and scurried away.
