Chapter 4 He's a--- WHAT !

After our drink that day, me and Crissy didn't see each other for a week now. I still can't remember what she said after I dozed off in my couch that time. I think she said something like what if she know Jake? And then? hmm...

'Argh! I really can't remember what Crissy said that time!' I shouted under my breath

Today is Tuesday so I decided to go shopping. I want to relieve my stress by walking it off, shop and to see some cute stuffs. I really love some cute stuffs though. It makes me feel young again.

I'm now here at the market that is just a few steps away from my apartment. I bought a new pair of pants, black and beige leather ones which are ripped but you know what they say, if you don't wear them, they will wear you out. Also I had gotten a couple of cute dresses for myself. I also bought some of sexy outfit for me and for Crissy because that's the way she dresses and I think that will look great with her.

After shopping clothes, I went to the furniture area . I had just purchased a small couch that was perfect for my balcony. It was a nice beige couch with light white stripes on it. It didn't look like it cost much, only a few hundred dollars, but if you knew where to look you could see it was very expensive, and of course, I made it deliver after I call them again when I'm home. Being alone really makes you think what you need to buy, need to do and need to learn. You know that when you look at yourself in the mirror, it's just an image of who you are now, but then something else is added to it and you wonder if this is who you can become and how much longer you'll be able to keep living like this because there's always something missing from your life that could change you, right? Do you feel the same?

By the way, I also went to Cosmetic Shop where I was totally emersed because I'm not the type of girl who wear a lot of make-up and having a skin care routine. Also my face is too round so makeup really isn't me. So basically, this is literally my first time entering a cosmetic shop. But, after all the stress I had lately, my face is not that healthy and good in any angle. I have a lot of acne now, dark spots and white heads, and I'm starting to look like someone who has just been through hell, and I guess that's true. Anyways, I just bought some of the skin care that was recommended by the sales lady and some cosmetics that I've seen through TikTok. There's a good thing in social media after all.

And now, I was just strolling while struggling with my shopping bags in my hand. I am walking as fast as I could but some group of girls bumped at me without saying sorry and not looking back. I stared at my things that have been on the floor and sighed,

"Lucky you, Jame" I sighed before I kneeled to pick up my items---when a pair of hands helped me pick up.

I look with the good Samaritan who help me and I saw the guy who I am longing to see for a week now...

It's Jake. It's Jake!

He smiled at me and helped me get up. He offered his hands and I willingly took, I mean that's a chance lol so why not grab it.

"Hi, Jame! Nice seeing you again" he flashed a sweet and big smile. I smiled back too.

'If you knew how much I want to cross path with you'

"Yeah, Jake. It's so nice seeing you again, but uhm..." he looked at me confused

"but I'm embarrassed that you saw me like that" I shyly scratch the back of my neck frowning

"Nah, even with that, I think you're still cute"

My heart raced as I tried to gather my words.

"I-I didn't saw you in the Cafe for couple of days, have you been busy lately?"

His eyes panicked which I find odd but he flashed a sweet smile. Damn

"Oh, well actually... I-I've been sick, I stayed at home." His face fell slightly before returning to its normal expression, "but that doesn't matter. I am well now and what's important is we can hang out again! Right?"

I blushed and looked away in embarrassment.

This guy... You don't know how strong your impact on me. I was so confused, so scared of what would happen next. My heart raced as I tried to gather my words.

"I-I didn't saw you in the Cafe for couple of days, have you been busy lately?"

His eyes panicked and he looked up from his phone, giving me a genuine smile.

"Oh, well actually... I've been sick, my boss let me go home early." His face fell slightly before returning to its normal expression, "but that doesn't matter. What's important is we can hang out again! Right?"

I smirked, "Hang out huh? what kind of hang out we'll do without minding others who think I have a celebrity guy who has been with me with those clothes on?"

I laughed as he pouted slightly.

"This is my normal clothes, Jame!" He rolled his eyes as I laughed out loud. I had forgotten how cute this boy could be, even if he sometimes acts a little mature than his age.

"Whatever you say, Mr. Hot pants." I teased, trying to ignore the heat spreading across my cheeks as I did so. We stared at each other until it felt like time stopped, then he looked down and cleared his throat awkwardly so did I.

"W-well, we can go to your house" I stared at him, shocked "I-if you want, besides, I want to tell you something" He stuttered out.

"What's wrong, Jake?" I smiled, but he still avoided eye contact with me. "Okay let's go home" I added.

"Home?" he asked confused. I nodded, "Yeah my apartment is a few blocks away" he looked confused but nodded anyway. I took his hand and started walking.

"We are here. Welcome" I smiled as I open my small yet cutie apartment hehe

He seemed hesitant about stepping inside but when I opened the door he gasped loudly and walked into the living room where my couch was situated.

"As what I imagine your home could be" I let him roam around but he stopped where my family pictures were hanging on the wall.

"What did you imagine about my apartment, though?" I joined at him besides our family picture.

"Classy" I smiled and nodded "This is your mother?"

"Yup" I smiled "We looked happy, right?" I looked at him as he nods "That's just an act. Behind of our smile is a sad reality, my grandmother left us that time." Jake stared at me. I smiled and sighed,

"Let's eat"

"Y-yeah"

He followed me at the table where I prepared some beef steak that I cooked for my lunch. It's easy for me to cook a lot for myself for me not to cook again in the evening, mindset huh.

"Woah..." as he takes another bite "This is so delicious, Jame!" he says through a full mouth.

I laughs lightly , "Yes, I know it's good." I replies with a smile. We ate in silence when the my door bell rings.

"You're expecting someone?"

"Ah, yeah, sorry for not saying to you but Crissy will come" he looks uncomfortable

"W-why?"

"Nothing.. it's just" he looked away "Open the door, your best friend is waiting" I nodded but still confused on the expression he did right now. What's the problem? I washed it away and open the door for Crissy.

"JAME!!" She exclaimed and she hugs me, "I missed you, girl!" she added and I hugged her back.

"I missed you too bijj"

"So, he's here?" she whispered while on meerkat mode

"Yeah, so better not to do anything weird" I warned her and she gives me a smirk.

"Not sure" she winked "And oh by the way, Devon will come here if his shift is done" she added as I got shocked

"Wait? Devon? The officer from before?" she blushes

"Y-yeah"

"You are so unbelievable" she smirked at me

We ended our conversation and went to meet Jake at the dining table that is now washing up the dishes. Wait---

"Jake, you don't have to do that! I exclaimed as I hurry at his back

"It's okay" he gives me a smile "I always do this"

"But you're my---"

"Jame?"

Crissy interrupted us and we both look to her. Her expression changed after she saw Jake. Her expression is definitely amazed, her eyes got big and she covers her mouth --- I mean Jake is hot but her expression is too bulgar, isn't it?

"JAKE SIHMON?" she exclaimed with a full excitement. I stared at her confused.

"You knew him, Cris?"

"OFCOURSE! WHO WOULDN'T, HE'S A----"

"Jame" Jake interrupted. I looked at him confused --- what's going on?

"Let's talk now, this, I need to tell you this"

"May we excuse, Ms." He said at Crissy that still in shock while nodding.
