Chapter 5 LATE

Chapter 5

Bye Bennett, see you later. Ava mumbled, as she dragged Riley with her.

I warned you not to drink. Didn't I? She half yelled.

Be careful Princess, watch out for thugs.

Call me if anything happens. Bennett yelled, as she walked away.

Okay..okay, got it. Ava returned.

Shit! She cussed again.

This was going to be a Problem.

She hissed, as she stopped a cab.

Where to Miss? The driver asked.

Uhm.. 67 Blackstone Area. She replied.

Hop in then. He said, and she did.

She made Riley lie on her back, so she wouldn't throw up on the man's car.

The drive home was not quiet at all, as Ava couldn't stop making a stable part of Riley.

Drink again and I'm surely going to kill you. She hissed, for the umpteenth time.

Miss, we're here. The driver said.

She nodded, and paid the man and got down along with the drunk girl.

This isn't funny Riley. She mumbled, staring at her apartment at the upper floor.

Shit! She cussed.

The morning sun shone brightly in the room, making Ava to grimace her face as she turned to the other side hiding her face from the sun that reflected in to her room through the window.

'Rrrrrrr'.... The alarm rang loudly in the morning as the bell rang too.

"7am already??" Ava cried, as she scattered her hair.

She sat up on the small bed and looked around.

Damn! Her body hurts like hell.

Her phone rang and she picked it up quickly.

"Good morning Miss Kyle... Today at Wayne's Corp. 8am!" The voice said, and beep... It disconnected.

She sighed, as she rushed into the bathroom.

The time was still early... She could make it there before 8. Right?

She quickly did her normal routine in the bathroom and got out immediately.

Seriously? She huffed, as she glanced at Riley that was still fast asleep.

That's what you get for drinking too much than your body can carry.

She walked to the closet that was just close by the door.

Grabbing a black skirt and a blue shirt... she quickly put it on.

"Wooow! The work girl already preparing for work." She heard the half drunk girl said.

"Go to sleep Riley... I wanna be quick. please." she glared at her.

Putting her dress on.. she walked to the mirror and tied her hair to a bun, letting some fall by the side.

She smiled at her reflection in the mirror and grabbed her bag.

"Today... Be yourself." She mumbled, as she dashed out of the room.

She would eat later at the office.

She smiled at the fact that she would get an office for herself and a laptop too.

Her Boss better be nice... she hated disgusting arrogant people.

"Taxi taxi." She yelled, as she gestured with are hands for the taxi to stop.

" Where to, Miss?"The man asked, with a raised brow.

"Uhhmm... Wayne's Corp." She answered, and the man nodded for her to get in.

She did and the car zoomed off.

****

"Boss. About the PA.."

"I don't need to know about her Troy just make sure she shows up before 8am on the dot." Bruce said, as he slumped down on the couch.

"And about the meeting with The De Lucci?" Troy asked.

"Cancel it." He answered, and waved his hand.. gesturing that he wanted to be alone.

Troy nodded, as he dropped the schedule file on the table... And left the room.

"Good morning Boss." Troy greeted, as Bruce stepped down from the car.

He said nothing, ignoring his greeting.

Troy sighed, as he followed suit.

"What do I have today, besides my appointments you cancelled." He asked.

"Uhmm... nothing." Troy answered.

"Good morning Sir... Good morning Sir." Came greetings from the workers.

He walked away from their presence, ignoring them like they did not exist.

Troy sighed. He did woke up from the bad side of the bed today.

He followed suit till the got into the elevator and it took them to top floor.

****

"Mister please can you go more faster?" Ava asked, as she stared at her watch.

It was 8am already, but she was no where near the Company.

God! She would have woken up earlier than 7am.

*Miss, if you're going to Wayne's Corp from that bus stop you stood you should have been faster than that."

Wayne's Corp is another miles away... we're really going to get there before 8:30am." The man said.

Uhh.. Ava cried, her eyes on the watch.

She didn't want to make a bad impression on her first day.

"Okay.. but please be more faster, it's my first day." She mumbled, and the man nodded.

Few minutes later... they were already there.

She heaved a deep breath, it was just 8:19am.

"Thank you." She thanked the driver and glanced at the building again.

Damn! It was so huge.

She walked into the Building and let out a small gasp.

The insides was more spacious than the outside??

"Good morning Miss, how can I help you?" The receptionist asked, with a smile.

"Good morning." Ava smiled back.

"I'm here as the CEO's Personal Assistant." She answered.

"Ohh Miss.. What's your name?" The receptionist asked again, as she dialed a number.

"Ava Kyle." She answered.

"Good morning Mr Troy.. there's a woman here saying she came as the...ubm, CEO's Personal Assistant. Ava Kyle."

"Should I let her in?" She asked.

"Yes..show her to the elevator and let her come to the top floor." Troy answered.

Why was she coming now? Shit! And their Boss was in a Bad mode today.

He shook his head, imagining so many things.

This way Ma'am. The receptionist said, as she took her to the elevator.

She pressed the 9th button of the elevator and got out.

"You'll meet the Boss there." She said, and walked back to her position.

Ava scratched her head.

God! She was so late. They made it clear. Come By 8am!! She recalled how it was Spoken.

Like the person meant.

Come otherwise and you're Fired! She shook those negative thoughts out of her head... as the elevator stopped and opened.

She got out and looked around.

No worker was here... except an office at the end of the glass wall.

She walked till she got there and knocked on the glass door.

She could see Two men back facing her.. as the watched they world from the glass.

"Come in." She heard,and shrugged.

She opened the door slowly.. till she got in.

"Good morning Sir." She greeted, as she brace herself for what would come next.
