Chapter 5 Day of an apology

Bella immediately dialled the number of James which didn't pick up her calls. She kept on calling him again and again but received no response.

She threw her phone in frustration and lay on her bed, she cried when she thought about the demand of Arthur.

How could a billionaire businessman stoop so low, tomorrow she would make everything alright.

Bella knew that Arthur was doing all this because she slapped him and she regretted her impulsiveness and now because her father's business was at stake.

She slept with the determination that tomorrow, she would make everything alright even if she had to beg in front of Arthur.

But why James was not picking up her calls. Bella thought that James was Arthur's associate so he could help her but little did she know that James was also included in the planning of destroying her

She woke up with sour eyes and mood, she looked at the clock and it was already 12'o clock. She rushed inside the washroom and took a relaxing bath with the determination of meeting Arthur today and would make everything alright

She wore her black pant and shirt paired with a black silk formal suit.

She looked at herself in the mirror and got satisfied with her look. She got out of the room and went downstairs where her parents and brother were already seated at the breakfast table.

The whole house looked dull and Bella didn't like the silence in her house.

"Good morning everyone," Bella said in a cheerful voice and she was positive that she could handle the case of Arthur well.

Her father and brother didn't make eye contact with her and their faces lingered with shame.

Bella took a seat opposite her father and served herself some fruits.

"Dad, trust me I will handle everything" Bella assured her dad who gave her a slight smile.

"And dad I am going to meet some business investors today and maybe I am sure that I convince them not to withdraw their funds from our business," Jason said and he was positive.

"I can't believe that in one night our share market drops and it happened only because of Arthur. I have no idea what have we done to offend him" Carter said in a frustrated tone and Bella kept her mouth shut.

When she slapped Arthur, she didn't think about the consequences but she would make everything alright.

Bella finished her breakfast and was ready to deal with the devil. She got up from her chair and straighten her suit. She was confident that she would succeed.

Bella left the house after assuring her family that everything would be alright.

She received a message when she sat in the car, she immediately opened the message because it was from James

"Meet me at the coffee shop at 5'o clock"

She reads the message and happiness engulfs her facial features.

She reached outside the big building that belongs to Arthur, she knew that Arthur was a billionaire but she wasn't aware that Arthur was practically royalty.

His office was bigger than Bella's father's, she regretted her decision of raising her hand to him

She stepped out of the car and entered to the building, she was in awe looking at the exquisite building

"Yes, mam how can I help you," the receptionist asked her and she smiled in response

"I am here to meet Mr Arthur Williams and I am Bella smith," Bella said and the receptionist recognised the surnames.

"Mam, sir is busy, you have to wait for a while" the receptionist smiled sweetly at her

Bella felt humiliated when she had to wait for hours and with every passing moment, she felt panicked.

Bella knew that Arthur was doing it intentionally. She checked the clock and it is already 4'o clock and she had to meet James in one hour

"Mam you can go now, take the elevator to the top floor" receptionist guide her

Bella took the elevator and reached outside the office that had a nameplate of 'Arthur William. She knocked at the door and the very husky voice of Arthur invited her inside.

She entered the cabin with sweaty hands and Arthur was busy doing his work. Arthur was looking handsome in his black shirt and indeed he was the epitome of a sexy man but his deeds made him ugly in front of Bella.

He knew that Bella was standing in front of him but he loved to test the patience of people

"I came here to apologise, I didn't mean to slap you but what you said unsettled me. I guess you took me as someone else and I was impulsive to raise hands on you" Bella said in one go and Arthur raised her head to look at her.

Arthur again got mesmerized by those blue eyes but he controlled himself and he felt the things which he never felt before

He was looking at her without any expression on his face

"Okay now you can leave," Arthur said and this wasn't what Bella expected him to say.

"Thank you so much for showing mercy on me and please help my dad in his business," Bella said with expectation because Arthur was looking at her with a smiling face but behind the smiling face he was mocking her

"Excuse me and who are you to tell me what to do or what not to do," Arthur asked her with a serious face and he was enjoying the plight of Bella.

"But you forgive me right," Bella asked him and sweat appeared on her forehead

"I don't forgive and everything comes with a price and to help your father you have to pay the price," Arthur said and looked at Bella's body with lust

"You have to pay the price for raising your little hand on me as well as for protecting your father," Arthur said leaning back on his chair.

He knew that Bella was caught and she had no option but to surrender to his demand.

And Bella cursed yesterday's night where she met him. Her one impulsive decision of messing with the billionaire and the business king was going to cost her everything that she was proud of.

All the daring of Bella jumped from the window when her family's reputation was at stake
