Chapter 5 ANGRY BIRD STRANGER

I walked down the street,all the way,I have to encounter couples holding hands or having their romantic moments,it's kind of things I can only dream of,call me the luckiest person,it's alright .

I stopped at the zigzag line and looked at the traffic lights, my eyes dimmed as I tried to get the exact color,it was blurred so I tried adjusting my glasses only 5hen did I realize, I didn't put on my goassed.

Mother did suggested I should wear it Ofcourse but I stupidly insisted that I will be fine without it.

I sighed and waited for someone to cross the line ,so I could follow him or her immediately.

But no one showed up after sometime, I was getting really impatient,I decided to cross the road since theres no sign of a car and the road is not so busy afterall.

I stepped in and walked across the road just 5hen someone screamed my name,I panicked and ran off the road them bumped on someone.

I looked up,the face was blurred,I blink my eyes many times staring at the person ,I could tell he was a guy because of his dressing.

"I am so so sorry"

"What you heck are you doing look at my suit!"

He yelled at me.

"I am sorry..

My mother ran to us,she was the person who screamed my name back then.

"Baby are you alright "

I was embarrassed eachtime she treats me like a kid,I ignored her because I was upset.

She quickly puts the eyeglass on me, I adjusted it myself.

"My apologies sir,she got a little sight problem,please pardon her".

Mother pleaded to the man and tried to clean the stained suit.

He pushed her away roughly.

"Keep your filthy hands off me whore!"

Mother apologized again.

"Mom you dont have to apologize to him, he is obviously a sadist, who have no value for elders".

"Excuse me, what did you just say four eyes?"

"You heard me angry bird"I snapped back.

"She didn't mean it"Mom replied with a nervous giggle then she nudged me.

"You didn't mean it right Arianna?"

"I have no time for this ,peoplelike you should learn how to keep your dirty selves out of people's way "the man sneered.

Just then a car stopped by the road,the driver was dressed like an important fellow,he opened the back door and saluted.

I could tell he was panicking when he did that.

"What is the time Jill?"he demanded from the terrified driver.

"I am sorry sir"

"You are so dumb you can't answer a proper question, what's the time!"

"7pm sir"

"Call it a day Jill"

My mother and I watched quietly

"I am sorry sir"

"Sorry for yourself".

He entered the car and the driver shut the door bowed and rushed to into the car.

"See,he is nothing but a spoilt brat ,look how terrified his driver was like he was a demigod or somethimg"

"You stained his suit!,do you know how much that leather is worth!"she snapped back.

"I apologized all he did was to treat me like I was a nobody,it was an accident i made him spill the coffee and stained his suit".

Mom frowned at me with her hands akimbo.

"I warned you to put on your glasses didn't I?"

"Yes...you did"I replied slowly.

She sighed. "You push yourself so hard Ari..glasses are not bad,you should..

"Mother I get it..I am sorry I refused to put in my glasses, I now realized it is a part of ke,I fould get in danger if I sont wear my glasses ,I am an adult please stop with all that"

I replied and avoided an eye contact.

My eyes were obviously glistening.

She hugged me and pecked my forehead.

"Mom not in public"

I mumbled.

"Now go home safely, I will be back by 10 pm".

She said and patted ehr hair brushing the tops with her fingers.

I sighed.

"Yeah".

"I will go now ,he is waiting for me,take good care if yourself and dont remove your glasses again" she scolded and left.

I watched her cross the road, there Peter was waiting beside his car ,they hugged and he opened the car for her.

He waved at me, I forced a smile and waved back.

Finally he wnat into the car and drove off.

I decided not to go home just yet,I have to get a cup of coffee in one of those cafe' and relax alittle.

I saw one ,themetcies cafe down the road, I adjusted my glasses and walked towards the direction.

It was just a stone throw from there,I got to the place and entered,the waitress offered me a seat,the interior looked quite expensive.

O removed my glasses and blew dust off ,also cleaned it with my handkerchief, there I spaced out

What was I even thinking ?,I almost got myself killed,imagine what that would do to mother.

I should have listened to her and that spoilt brat..

"Arianna?"

I looked up startled.

"What the.fu..,dude you starled me"I snapped holding my chest.

I adjusted my glasses

"Mickey?....Mickey what are you doing here,in a place like this alone today of all days..

I looked over to the far table and saw a single lady staring at us

"Is that your date?"I whispered

"Who?"

He looked back

"Nahh..well I am single so, I just came to get a cup of coffee and relax but then I saw this Beauty and decided to come say het"

"Oh please stop with the flattering"

"Mind if I...

"Oh Ofcourse yes"i stuttered nervously.

He say down and nodded at the waiter.

"Can I get a cup goo,thanks"

",So why are you still single Mickey, you 3a great guy with a nice physique"

"Same question I kept asking my self each time i bumped into you Hy accident,not that i am a stalker maybe its destiny!"

"Shut up Mickey!"

I cracked up

Just then a man walked past us and sat down on the empty table opposite ours.

He didn't seem to notice me but I know him quite alright ,that angry bird bastard.

I groaned liseed

"What the problem?"Mickey asked concerned.

"Him!,so full of himself, can you believe it,who on her right sense will fix a date with that type of guy,all because of his assent and I thought he will afford a place better than this "

"Wait which guy are you talking about?"

He looked at the man,and quickly looked away from him.

Please don't tell me you are talking about the guy with a diamond watch,and the leather suit and a cigar clamped inbetween his teeth?"

He asked then spacing out

"Fake diamond you mean,Tsk!,He talks so low of pther,people like him make me sick,what are you spavimg out for?"

"What is he doing in a place like this"

He mumbled to himself.

"What's wrong?"I asked getting scared a little.

Then he looked up at me.

"Arianna did you by any chance exchange words with..

"Ofcourse yea! I would do same right now, if he dare insult my mother again or even yoh my friend,why are you tensed?"

"This is bad really bad Arianna,remember I told you the manager informed the senior employees about the new CEO?"

I stared at him,his eyes were dark and serious. I hope this isn't going where I think it is going.
