Chapter 3 Love Amidst Pain

Rosalie drove into her compound and was welcomed by her maids and other workers.

" Welcome Miss !" They greeted, immediately she got down from her car and she replied with a smile.

" Is my food ready?" She asked her cook who was standing in front of the front door.

The cooked immediately bowed " Yes Miss and it served " she replied while still bowing

" Good !" Rosalie replied and entered her house.

Rosalie lived alone with her workers. She left her father's house about three years back when she already saw herself as a big girl who didn't need to rely on her parents anymore.

She bought this house then and it had been her safe coven since then. It became her favourite place. A place she always hid in whenever she wanted to run away from the outside world.

She walked to the dining room and sat down. She opened the covered plates and realised her cook cooked her favourite meals.

" Thank you Missy!" She thanked the older lady with a bright smile.

" Anything for you My lady!" Missy replied with a polite smile.

Rosalie was ready to mooch on the food when she suddenly felt full! She suddenly had no appetite for anything anymore and she was surprised.

" What's wrong?" She asked herself inwardly.

" What's it Miss? Don't you like the meals?" Missy asked with concern when she saw the hesitation in Rosalie's eyes.

Rosalie looked at the cook and smiled " I suddenly feel filled and I don't know why" she complained and looked at the food again. The aroma coming from it made her mouth watered but her stomach wasn't ready to take it and she wondered why but then she remembered her problem and she felt soured!

" Hmm.." She sighed and stood up. " Missy, you and others should share the food " she said and walked away from the table.

" Hope you are okay Miss?" Another maid asked with concern written all over her face.

Rosalie wanted to tell them she was fine but she knew that would be an obvious lie as everyone in the room could see she wasn't fine!.

" I'm not fine but I will be okay. Don't worry about me and enjoy it. I only need some rest" she replied and turned to climb the stairs.

She could feel the maids gaze behind her back but she didn't halt her step nor look at them and just continued climbing the steps.

She dropped her bag immediately when she entered her room. She removed her heels and threw them into a corner.

" What should I do now?" She mumbled to herself with her head resting on the door.

" Surrogate mother huh?" She said to herself.

" I'm sure they are going to pay a very huge amount of money"

" Should I just go for it? I'm sure the money will be enough for the loss and I will be able to bring my company back to glory..." She was in deep thought for a while before she pulled her hair in frustration!

" Urgh!" She groaned as she dishevelled her hair .

" Am I losing my mind? Am I going crazy?? What's wrong with me??

How on earth did I think of such?? This incident must have greatly disturbed my mind!" She said to herself and walked toward her bed.

She zipped down her gown from her side and put off her gown revealing her panties and bra. She removed her bra and walked into the bathroom...

" Maybe I should visit mom tomorrow " she mumbled as she entered the bathroom.

Soon, she was out of the bathroom completely naked. She was about to pick her towel when her phone screen lit up " Huh? Who is that?" She asked no one in particular as she picked her phone and checked the message.

" You are my rose and my white lily. You are my..." She was reading out the love message from an unknown number on her phone but was interrupted with a growl in her stomach.

" Oops! I'm feeling hunger pang!" She lamented.

" But who is this person? His love message seems so sweet" she said to herself But she was not ready to find out who it was. She had no reason to date Anyone yet and having a boyfriend was something she believed she would only have when she clocked 30!

She dropped her phone, dressed up and said " I should go get something to eat.. I can't tell Missy to cook for me again now. So I've got to get something outside. " she said as she checked herself with the Mirror.

She wore a short and a large hood which complemented her slim figure. She packed her hair in a ponytail which only made her more beautiful. Her body and face screamed pretty!

She had a youthful vibe in her that made her alluring to the eyes.

" I look pretty!" She said to herself before picking her purse. She left her phone in her bed and left the room.

" Miss! Where are you going?" Her security man asked when he saw her leaving the house.

" I'm coming! I'll just get something to eat and will be back soon!" She replied and exited the gate!

" Where should I go? The woman down the street must have closed up because of her daughter's problem. Where should I go?" She asked herself as she continued walking down the street.

She was not so used to her street because she was always busy with one thing or the other and hardly strolled around her area so it was difficult for her to locate any restaurant in her street.

It would have been different if she was with her phone because she would have the opportunity to search through her phone and finding a restaurant would be very easy.

She had been walking for almost thirty minutes now and she was getting tired. " Should I just go back home?" She asked herself and was about to turn back when she felt a breeze run past her

" Huh?!"

A paper fell from her head and flew away before falling down.

" What's that?"
