Chapter 7 Episode 7: Curse of the night

Chapter 7.

"Cool!" Charlotte smiled.

"We have just 17 years more! And I would be stronger!" She was super excited.

"Mom, dad! Can I stop training? Since Chloe would make me strong when she becomes Queen?" She asked.

Ursula almost broke down in tears when she saw how excited Charlotte was at the lie that she told her and wished that she could tell her the truth.

"No sweetie!" She sniffed.

"You can not stop training. You have to keep on training so that when you finally get the power, you would not start training afresh. Can't you see Chloe? She has a lot of powers but she still practices because she has to learn more" she explained

"Oh, that is right!" Charlotte nodded and turned to Chloe.

"Hey, Chloe! From now on, I would also help you train so that you would become stronger!" She said.

"That would be exciting!" Chloe said as they high-fived each other as their parents just watched them. They started giggling and Charlotte became suddenly high-spirited.

Ursula instantly lose appetite as she watched her two daughters in an excited state.

"Are you okay?" Lucas asked her when she suddenly became silent.

"Yes, I am" She stood and started walking away while Lucas watched as she walked to the door.

He glanced at the twins as they were excited and talking about when Chloe became Queen. He finally stood and walked toward his wife.

He walked until he met pace in the hallway, she glanced at him but did not stop as he kept following her.

"Ursula, what is the matter?" He asked as they kept walking.

"What is the matter?" She stopped and turned to face him

"Did you not see how I effortlessly lied to Charlotte without no conscience? Did you by chance see the happiness on her face?" She sobbed as he walked up to her and hugged her.

"Everything would be over soon," he patted her back.

"We just have to do it for Stoneville" he added as she nodded.

Then they slowly disengaged the hug.

"No one said that it was going to be easy in the first place. When we decided to keep the black stone, we signed a huge task into our hands" he said.

"We have to be careful. She is getting too inquisitive. Why would she just ask all of a sudden why they are not allowed to use their powers in the night?" Ursula asked as she and Lucas began to walk down the hallway.

"I know. You did really smart coming up with the Dark Lord Story" Lucas said as she nodded.

"Just a matter of time, everything would be over," Ursula said and stood as Lucas stopped walking too.

"But," Lucas said as she looked up at him.

"I was wondering, what if Charlotte witnessed the initiation of the new Queen, she would witness the black and white witches, invoking and using their powers in the night, would she not say that we cheated her all these years?" Lucas asked.

"Then she does not have to attend the initiation. Do not forget, we are making sure that we do anything that would not obstruct the coronation of the White Stone, My King, My Queen" the council chief who has been following and listening to their conversation, came out of hiding and spoke.

"But she has the right to watch her sister get crowned!" The Queen spoke.

"She does not, My Queen. She would not even know. And after the coronation, we would perform the ceremonial one during the day" he suggested.

"Hmm, that is not bad" Lucas said as the Queen sighed. She was getting tired of the whole drama.

"Earth, fire, water, and wind!" Melony said as she kept walking between the two princesses who were meditating in a sitting position.

"These are the forces of nature that made up the star. For you to master your powers, you make to master the four elements" she said and walked to their front and stood.

Charlotte sighed and tried to concentrate, but all that she could think of was how her sister was going to make her strong when she becomes Queen.

"Can I ask you a question, please?" Charlotte said and opened her eyes

"Charlotte, you were not supposed to stop, you are supposed to meditate!" She blurted out.

"Yeah yeah, you both ended up distracting me!" Chloe said and opened and instantly rolled her eyes.

"It is just a question, please" Charlotte insisted as Melony grunted out of frustration.

"Okay, go on!" She said and folded her arms.

"Why can't Chloe be crowned as Queen yet? Why do we have to wait for that long?" Charlotte asked and Melony could not hide her surprise as she quickly looked at Chloe who was playing with a branch that she was practicing her magic on.

"Yeah yeah, she knows. And mom told her that I would be giving her some powers to make her strong, so she can not wait for me to be Queen!" Chloe said and yawned.

"Oh, is that so? Interesting" Melony murmured under her breath and sighed.

She squatted next to Charlotte who was still in a sitting position and touched her hair.

"Well, you see, Charlotte. Before the coven crown the Queen, she has to be 25 years of age. That is what the seven scrolls said. A Queen can not be crowned until she attains the age of 25" she explained.

"Oh, is that so?" She nodded and started counting her fingers.

"So, we have to wait for more 17 years? Whoa! That is quite a long time " she whined.

"Yeah, I know. But you both would be 25 before you know it. She has to grow and gather all the strength that she has to be Queen. A queen is a warrior!'

" Whoa!!" Charlotte smiled and turned to her sister who was not listening to what was being said but was busy practicing magic.

"Did you hear that Chloe? I am going to help you train so that you would become stronger and stronger!" She said excitedly.

"Now! Back to meditations! Come on! Focus on the forces of nature!" Melony said as they rearranged themselves.

"Earth, fire, water, and wind!"

Charlotte was still asleep as early as 6 Am while Chloe was busy practicing magic in their room.

"Morentiz caliyu oratus" she murmured and was controlling the flying objects in the room.

She smirked, seeing what she could do as she started making more things float in the room.

Charlotte changed position on her bed and turned, she yawned and stretched and went back to sleep.

Chloe giggled as the objects kept floating in the room, and she was excited because she was in charge.

"This is so cool" she murmured.

Charlotte slowly opened her eyes and saw almost half of everything in the room was floating. She yawned and closed her eyes, positioning herself in a better sleeping position, then it dawned on her.

She quickly opened her eyes and sat up on her bed, looking at how her sister was in the middle of the room, controlling the floating objects.

"Oh, My God!" She exclaimed and Chloe flinched and the whole object landed on the floor with some breakable objects shattering.

"Oh, you are awake?" She asked with guilt written on her face.

"How are you able to make those things float?!" She stood and walked toward the middle of the road, but stops a little bit far away from Chloe.

"I am sure that Melony has never taught is how to make things float! How did you do that?" She was still astonished as Chloe started thinking of what to say.

"Uhmm, well" she said squeezing her fingers.

"I..."

"Did you learn it yourself? Because I am very much sure that we have not learned that spell!" Charlotte said.

"Yes, you are correct. I learned it by myself" she lied as Charlotte walked up to her in the middle of the room, carefully avoiding the broken pieces of glasses.

"That was incredible! You were amazing! Chloe!" She said.

"Oh, thank you"

"You must ne working very hard to be strong" Charlotte smiled and patted hed shoulders as she smiled nervously.

"Yeah. Yes. You are right! I am working so hard to be strong so that I would be able to give you enough powers when I become Queen" She said as Charlotte quickly hugged her.

"You are the best sister, ever! And I love you so much, Chloe" Charlotte said as Chloe slowly hugged her back.

"I love you too, Charlotte" she murmured as Charlotte quickly disengaged the hug.

"Come on! How can I be of help, I want to help you train" Charlotte said excitedly.

"Oh, okay" Chloe shrugged and said reluctantly.

"So, what should I do?"

"Well, you can just be throwing the objects up while I suspend them on the air. Or..." Her face beamed with joy

"I could even try to float you. I have not tried floating things with much weight before!" She added.

"Okay, let's do it!" Charlotte smiled.

"You trust me enough to float you? You do not think that I might let you fall?" Chloe asked.

"Of course not! I believe that my sister is a very strong witch!" Charlotte smiled and walked away from her and stood afar, close to the windows.

"Come on, float me like a butterfly!" She said excitedly, spreading her arms in the air.
