"What do you want to do when she wakes up, Ravi? Remember that we don't know her very well."
I heard a man's voice. I was awake but I chose to close my eyes first. I will feel what is around me, especially since I have heard the name of a Prince.
It looks like Prince Ravi is here because the person who spoke mentioned his name.
"Let's find out first what really happened. Maybe it was Nesh's fault that Haya fell from the tree."
I was amazed at the voice of the speaker. The voice is very handsome and yet calm. What a sweetness of the ear to hear. If I was just weak, I would have fallen in love with him just because of his voice even though I haven't seen his face yet.
"Why am I? I'm not doing anything to her, Ravi. I really don't know what caused her to fall," another man replied, he defended himself. "So I'm not the one you should blame, it's not my fault," he added. There was a hint in his voice that he was adamant that he had done nothing wrong.
Is he the person that caused my fall? Why? He looks like he's still cleaning his name. He was really the reason why I fell. Why is he suddenly startled?
I couldn't stand it anymore. I also had to defend myself. I can't look bad here. I already fell for it and then it will be my fault? That's fvcking unfair!
"What are you saying that is not your fault? Hey! If you hadn't startled me, I wouldn't have fallen, would I?"
They were almost all shocked because I suddenly shouted at the man next to me with red hair. I rolled my eyes around the room. Five men are with me now. I immediately sat up from lying down and hugged myself. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that I was dressed and still fully clothed.
Okay, I'm the judgmental one.
They were all dressed in elegant princely attire. The type of fabric used is obviously expensive. They wear something similar to the traditional dress of the Koreans which is the "hanbok". It's just like the costumes of Princes and Princesses that I watch in Korean Dramas. They are wearing the same color. Their top shirt is white with long sleeves covered with black like a dress. It has a unique bird and flower design embroidered on it using white thread. The color of what they are wearing is really only white and black. The gold ribbon tied at the bottom of their chests is remarkable, causing them to shape their clothes. It looked like they were really dressed but they weren't, because they were still wearing black pants. Don't they feel hot because of their clothes?
Even what they are wearing on the foot is also the same. They were wearing black boots. That's cool! I don't think I have to go to Korea just to see the hanbok in person because it's in front of me now.
From their shirt, I turned my gaze back to their top and noticed the cloth tied around their foreheads. It is red in color and has a bird design in the middle that is just the same as the one embroidered on their dress. I've seen that design! That was the design placed on the red cloth that was flagged at the gate opening earlier. If I'm not mistaken, that is their flag symbol. It symbolizes their Kingdom.
"Is what she said true, Nesh?" The man I had just looked at looked at the man who had caused my fall.
Prince Ravi is even more handsome up close. It is not only his physical appearance that impresses him, but also his good manners.
"I didn't expect him to be surprised," he replied, frowning. Then he looked at me badly. I also scolded him immediately
Why do I still seem to be to blame for my fall? I'm the victim here, hello!
How can I not be surprised, eh, the place is so quiet then he suddenly speaks. He even mistaken me for a big bird! Eh, if I ate him now?
Prince Ravi turned to me. He was standing on the side of the bed where I was sitting now. "I apologize for my youngest brother's attitude. But Haya, I would have liked to know what you are doing up in the tree?"
I looked up at him as my heart beat faster. What will I say? My tongue seemed to recede and my brain would not work. I can think of no reason.
It's hard to think of a reason why a young lady like me is in a tree? Especially the young lady in their world should expect modesty.
I can't say the true reason. I climbed the tree just to see him.
"Are you a spy?"
Prince Ravi lost his attention to me because the other Prince joined our conversation.
I looked out the side of the window. The dirty white haired man looked at me seriously. My heartbeat quickened because of the extreme nervousness and fear. Why did he look like that? Deadly!
"Calm down, Cozen." The man with orange hair also responded. He was that very proud man before. He almost kissed my hand. He was also one of the five Princes, I guess? If so, he was the very first Prince I ever met. He was at my feet but he started to step closer to me.
"There's nothing in her very meek and beautiful face to be a spy. Maybe she's up in a tree because she's looking for the most handsome Prince who is none other than me. Am I right, Haya? Are you looking for me?" I could see the crazy smile on his lips again. I glared at him. Up to this point, he is still arrogant.
"Your face is so very thick!" I turned his face away from me because he tried to get closer.
Like Ravi he is also handsome. Add both of his deep dimples but this one won't amaze me. He is obviously a great playboy! I will not accept his flowery words.
"Dern, stop being assuming. Isn't it obvious, Haya hates you more than you expected. For the first time, your charisma didn't work," the man who caused my fall, sighed, Prince Nesh.
They all laughed except Prince Dern and the man with blue hair. Prince Dern was probably pissed so he didn't laugh. To my surprise, the serious man at the window didn't even react to what his brother said.
"Don't make me laugh!" Prince Dern turned to me again. "Maybe she's just too shy to admit it. To be honest, I really like it. I'll have a hard time before I get her. What a great challenge!"
I was annoyed. I stared at him and said, "Challenge your face!"
They all frowned. I guess they didn't know what I wanted to say and even more so they didn't know the sarcastic expression I said. I use that expression with my friends to contradict what they are saying.
"Sorry, dear Princes." We all turned to the woman in her 40's who had just entered the room. She was wearing a waiter's dress. She bowed first and then raised her head. "I heard from Ysabelle that Haya, who was with me earlier, is here."
She's staring at me now. Am I the one she is referring to? I'm the only Haya here. Probably it's me, but it's surprising because I haven't been with her before.
"Is she the one you're referring to?"
"Yes she is, Prince Ravi. She is the one I say, that will be your new Kharim. I left her earlier in the garden and I didn't think she would climb the tree. Maybe she just wanted to look for me."
I was just stunned by what she was saying to Prince Ravi. How come that she knows me? I have no knowledge but I do not contradict what she said. It's also okay because I have no other reason to slip. I'll just ride what she says.
"I'm sorry," the woman bowed again.
"In that case, you can pick her up and take her to your room so that she can now change her dress and wear the proper uniform," Prince Ravi said calmly.
She nodded and stepped closer to me. As she helped me to my feet, we were all distracted when the blue -haired man first walked out. He was the silent man a while ago. He was just standing on the edge of the window and seemed to be deep in thought.
"I'll go now," he said and didn't even look around. His voice was very cold. That one looks rude and snobbish.
"Where else is Arsh going?" I heard Prince Nesh ask.
Prince Dern just shrugged at him.
I just ignored them. I put on my slippers and then I held the hand of my companion. My back and legs are still a bit sore. It's because it's Prince Nesh! I think my bones will be broken in this world.
"We'll go now Prince Ravi, Prince Cozen, Prince Dern and Prince Nesh," the old woman informed before bowing.
I also followed the bow before they turned away.
"Wait," we stopped walking.
We turned to Prince Ravi. He's staring at me now. I don't know but I can't avoid that stare.
"I want to know your name, Haya."
We stared at each other for a few seconds before I answered. "K-Kalea is my name."
I can't mention the name Amity because that's my true identity here. I'll just use my name Kalea, after all that's really my real name. I still prefer them to know me as Kalea, the real me.
"Kalea," he repeated. "It means beauty and happiness. It's perfect for you." He smiled which gave an inexplicable feeling to me. "Nice to meet you, Haya Kalea."
I just smiled. "So am I, Dear Prince."
We finally went out of that spacious room. The woman who suddenly appeared earlier and covered me was still supporting me. I will be grateful that she did that.
"You must be careful, Princess," she whispered to me which surprised me.
Is what I heard correct? She called me Princess?
"Do you know me?"
She only nodded. "Let's talk later because it's dangerous if I tell you all here. Maybe someone will hear us."
She focused her eyes on where we were going. Some of the soldiers and female servants we met looked at me. Maybe they are wondering who I am. I am the only ordinary student from the modern world who is stuck here in their strange world.
We also walked quite a long way. This hallway of the palace is very wide. When we finally got out, we turned left. There was another two-story house separate from the one we had entered earlier. Like the palace, it is also made of stone so it cannot be easily destroyed. On the side of our path was full of colorful flowers and some trees. Very fresh and cozy to look at.
"Kharim like us are staying here. Not all Kharim can enter and serve the King and the Princes. It is only the Kharim who are allowed to associate with the Princes especially the King," she started. "Some Kharim are working in different area of the palace."
She led me into a room. There is no one else here except the two of us. She went to a cabinet and I sat on the bed. There are two beds in this room, maybe the on is for her and one for me.
I found out that the word Kharim means servant. In that case, I will be the servant of the five Princes.
"Fortunately, the Kharim of the five Princes has left and you will take her place. This will help you to speed up the mission given to you by your Queen Mother." She just kept rummaging for clothes in the cabinet.
"Do you know about my mission?"
She turned to face me with her folded clothes. "Yes, I know. Because like you, your Mother also ordered me to be a spy. The two of us will serve as her eyes here to carefully plan the overthrow of the Kingdom of Norland."
So, before Princess Amity came here, someone had already betrayed the palace? So the overthrow of Norland was more well planned because there was more than one traitor.
"Listen, Princess Amity. You have to be careful with every move you make because the Princes are all smart. Maybe just one move of yours, your Mother's plan will all be ruined."
I did not say a word. I just nodded. Little did she know that I would not follow the Queen's orders. I had another mission to do. That is my mission to take care of the Kingdom so that I can return to my world. They did not all know that it was not only Norland that I would betray, but also my own Kingdom, Lacandia.
I suddenly felt guilty.
No, Kalea. You will do just the right thing. You will do this so that you can return to your peaceful life.
"You need to change, Princess. This is what you will wear." She handed me the folded dress.
I picked it up immediately and held it to see the whole thing. It's like the woman in front of me is wearing it now.
"I'm Celia, Princess Amity. Call me Kharim Celia," she introduced. "I'll leave you first so you can change. I will just wait for you outside, Dear Princess." She bowed first before he turned her back on me.
After she closed the door, I removed the white dress I was wearing. I really don't know where this white dress came from. I just took what was given to me and put it on. It's just like the Korean hanbok.
Consists of a white bolero style blouse and a long skirt, with unique proportions. The pink color is long for fun so a little girl like me looks tall to wear it. The sleeves of the blouse spread like wings, while its fun begins to spread from the chest and gracefully lays on the floor. Also noteworthy is its breast line which is decorated with a different kind of ribbon, with both ends dangling from its knot. The neckline is embroidered with beautiful flower designs with vivid colors. I also combed my hair and tied it with a ribbon and then put on a gold hairpin with a flower design as well.
I looked in the big mirror, the result was very good. The social view of the servants here resembles royal clothes. You wouldn't expect a maid to wear this dress.
I was out in a few moments. I found Kharim Celia waiting outside. She led me out, we walked until we reached the garden. This is where I went before and this is also where I fell. The palace garden is really huge. The flowers here are even more enticing.
We remained just standing on the side and overlooking the five Princes who are currently busy now rehearsing in the vast field of the garden. Kharim Celia and I focused our attention on the Princes.
"The first Prince was Prince Ravi. He was the one with blonde hair. He was also the eldest Son of King Valor. The Prince who was most kind, responsible, dependable and determined to follow in his Father's footsteps. His heart was close to that of poor citizens of the Kingdom so much, so that he is loved by his Father's subjects. He also has a unique ability. He is able to remove the power possessed by a being who possesses a power no higher than his own foolishly doing his brethren, he punishes them by taking away their power so that they cannot use them for a few days."
I am now staring at Prince Ravi. A true Prince is very obvious in his face and demeanor. When I first saw him, he impressed me. I wouldn't wonder why he was the next to be King of Norland.
"The second Prince is Prince Cozen with white hair." I turned my gaze to Prince Ravi's replacement man with a sword. "This Prince is the opposite of Prince Ravi. It is a headache for King Valor because he is often involved in trouble and even ordinary citizens of the Kingdom are always at war." What Kharim Celia was referring to was the Prince who had given me a sharp look earlier and even told me that I was supposed to be a spy. I wouldn't be surprised if it always gets into a fight. "He has the ability to deceive and disguise so be careful Princess of every person you meet because you won't know if it's really them or Prince Cozen you're skinning you."
I really need to keep my mouth shut about my mission especially since a Prince has that kind of ability.
We now turn our gaze to the Prince who was silent before. He is currently practicing archery. Even when shooting, he has no one with him, he is a loner.
What grabbed my attention the most was the color of her blue hair. That color suits him because of his white complexion.
"He is the third Prince, Prince Arsh. The quietest, most serious and only once you see him speak. Other Kharim are also afraid to talk to him because of his awkwardness but even so, many women still admire the Prince. But whatever attention they get, it has no effect on the Prince." I don't know but his seriousness makes him even more attractive. In him I see the fictional character I read in books back then, the mysterious and cool guy who is super handsome. So I no longer wonder why so many women like him. "He has a unique ability. Prince Arsh is so smart that he can solve all the problems that are thrown at him. He can also read your mind. So Princess Amity, avoid thinking your mind about your mission at a time when you are with Prince Arsh."
I imprinted her advice on my mind.
I have to be more careful with this Prince because he can read my mind. His power is too deceptive, gosh!
"Prince Dern is the fourth Prince. Of the five, he is the one who loves to make the Hayas fall in love. He passes by flowery words and the air. Dear Princess, I warn you not to send in the sweets he utters because after you fall in love, it will disappear suddenly and never feel again." Seriously, he was the ghoster to their siblings? "His ability is that he can lengthen any part of his body," Kharim Celia added. His body is flexible, just wow!
What Kharim Celia is referring to is the first Prince I saw here in Norland. The Prince with orange hair. I was not surprised because my first impression of him was that he was a womanizer.
Next is the youngest Son of King Valor was the man with red hair who caused me to fall from the tree.
"He is the youngest Prince, Prince Nesh. The most stubborn Son of King Valor. He is very clumsy and not really ready to be a full-fledged Prince. He is still too young and he prefers to play with other young people his age. In being childish, he is not yet able to use his power properly so there is fire everywhere. He is not yet knowledgeable enough to maintain his power and has the ability to ignite and make fire with only his two palms."
Kharim Celia sighed. "They all also have the ability to disappear like a bubble and move somewhere else. They're the only ones with that kind of power."
I was amazed at every power the Princes possessed. I had to prepare myself for the time I could witness right in front of me their ability because there was a possibility that I would faint.
"Now that you know the five Princes, I hope you can accomplish your mission well, Princess Amity."
I looked at it and smiled at her. "Noted, Kharim Celia."
There are only two things that can happen in my mission. To repeat what happened in the past or to change the course of destiny in the present.
But I will make sure of only one thing, I will do everything just to get back to my world.
