CHAPTER 6

I can't believe what Cynade's Mom said. She likes me for her son! Oh my God! It was so overwhelming.

Tita Eliza's sister, Tita Beth had no reaction. I knew at first she didn't want me.

Duh, I'm not insisting. I also don't like her. The feeling is mutual.

"Mom..."

My heartbeat quickened when I heard the voice of my beloved. He went downstairs, holding a cellphone in his right hand. He was only wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts but he was still handsome in my eyes.

Even though it was simple, he had a profound effect on me.

"Come here, Cy. You have a visitor," said Tita Eliza.

When Cynade got down she looked straight at me. I grabbed Via's arm because I seemed to melt under his stares.

Oh, Cy, please stop. I might not be able to control myself and I might kiss you here.

Cynade looked at Mila who was currently sleeping on my lap. I suddenly felt ashamed because of that.

"Hi, Cy," Via greeted her cousin with a smile. "Kuya is inviting you to play basketball with him in his free time," she added.

"Yeah, sure," Cynade replied while still looking at me. I averted my eyes.

I can't speak either. All I knew was the strength of my heartbeat.

"Cynade, did you know Hira?" his Mom asked him with a smile.

He sat beside Via.

"Yeah."

I simply grabbed my chest. Damn, I was wrong to come here!

I could see out of the corner of my eye that Aunt Beth was staring at me.

What's wrong with her?

Cynade's Mom applauded for her answer so I swallowed. "Did you know that this girl likes you?"

I almost lost my breath when she said that. I think I'm going to have a heart attack. I also did almost a consecutive swallow.

"Why are you so pale?" Aunt Beth asked me.

I averted my eyes. I didn't answer because I also didn't know what to say. "She's sick," Via interjected.

I nodded in agreement. "Y-yes, hehe," I awkwardly said.

"Oh? Have you taken any medicine, Hira?" Aunt Eliza asked.

"Yes, Tita," I replied, not knowing where to look.

Lord, I'm sorry for lying.

"Good. All right, I'll go upstairs first. Cynade, take care of them," Tita told her son.

"Yes," Cynade replied so her Mama went upstairs but suddenly stopped.

"And Hira, please call me Tita or Mama," added Tita Eliza causing my cheeks heated.

I even saw her smile at me before finally climbing to their 2nd floor.

There was a moment of silence between us all when Aunt Beth broke it.

"I'm just going somewhere," she said goodbye so we nodded.

Via and I were the only three in the living room so I swallowed.

Awkward.

"I'll go in the kitchen," Via suddenly said goodbye and sneered at me so I simply glared at her.

"Don't leave me here-" before I could finish what I was going to say, zhe walked away from us.

Shit! Shit! Cynade and I are the only one here!

There was space between us so it was okay but that made the loss of my treacherous heart even more.

It was as if I was going to faint because of his closeness to me. No one speaks to the two of us. I just stared into space but I could see out of the corner of my eye that he was staring at me.

Please, stop. I might suddenly melt.

"You and Mila are close, huh?"

I turned to him for a moment as he spoke. He said that seriously and with disdain.

Is he angry?

"Kinda," was my only reply.

"It's good that we're close, eh, we're not," I whispered.

"Are you saying something?" he raised his eyebrows to me.

Hmp!

"Nothing."

I was simply thrown into the air.

I'm still a little new because he's talking to me. First time because he talked to me.

Or does he just not pay attention because his mother told him to take care of us?

How sad.

"Is Mila pregnant?" I asked.

Only now did I notice that its stomach was quite big.

"Yeah. 2 weeks."

I nodded at his answer.

"She's pregnant for the first time?" I asked more.

"Hmm."

"Who's the father?" I asked again.

"Kai," he replied while pointing at a Ragdoll cat.

I immediately smiled.

"I'm sure their child will be beautiful," I whispered.

Hopefully we will too.

He did not answer.

I turned to him and saw that he was texting on his cellphone.

Is the person he's talking to more important than me?

I just shook my head and made his texting someone an excuse to stare at him.

Damn his kissable lips! I want to kiss him right now.

Cynade swallowed so her adams apple moved.

My eyes rolled when he suddenly turned to me. "What are you staring at?"

"You look like..." I paused.

His forehead furrowed. "What?"

"You look like the father of my future kids," I smiled.

"Ah?" he only answered and turned back to his cellphone.

I was thrown into the air. Damn him!

"Aren't you leaving, Cy? Maybe you're going somewhere?" We both looked at Via with a big grin on his face.

"Nothing," Cynade replied sparingly.

"That's good. We're here first, huh? It's boring at home."

Via pushed Cynade next to me. Cynade didn't seem to have that because he moved next to me.

No, just please! I will be issued.

I could smell his fragrant scent. It's delicious on the nose. We are not very close but we are still close to each other.

"Sure."

I hope it's always like this.

The size and beauty of his voice. She is like an angel that I will marry.

I sneezed.

"C-can you sing?" I suddenly asked.

Cy looked at me slowly. Via, on the other hand, smiled devilishly. I simply stared at her.

"Kinda."

I smiled. "Can you ... Sing for me?" I requested.

"Sure-"

"Hi, Cynade- Oww ..."

Bella and Aunt Beth and I looked at each other at the same time as they were thrown out of the big door at the same time. Aunt Beth smiled while Bella's smile faded when she saw us.

What a bitch!

What is she doing here, huh?

I stared into the air. Destruction of the moment!

"What are you doing here, Bella? We haven't talked," Cynade asked seriously.

Bella sat across from him while Aunt Beth was next to Bella.

Best friend, huh?

I can feel Bella's evil look at me. Shee also simply looked at Mila who was sleeping on my thigh. I rolled my eyes at her.

Maybe Aunt Beth picked up Bella. Are they that close?

Bella smiled.

"Nothing. I just want to visit you, Cy. Is that bad?" its tender answer.

Disgusting.

"Of course not," Cynade commented.

"Good. You have a visitor," Bella turned to Via and me.

"Bellatrix Mendez, Bella for short." With a smile, she held out her hand to Via and me.

No one cares.

She held out her hand for a few minutes but no one took it. She was embarrassed.

I mocked her.

"Let's wander tomorrow, Cynade, huh?" Bella had a big smile.

"Ah, he's not allowed, eh. Kuya has free time tomorrow so they will play basketball. 'Isn't it, Cy?" Via smiled.

"Hmm..."

"Ah, is that so? Then, I'll just come with you," Bella suggested.

Is she really like that epal?

"Yes, Cy. You can take Bella with you," Aunt Beth interjected.

"Actually, you can't. It's because they're bonding with Kuya."

It is embarrassing to bow. "Ah, is that so? All right ... "

I smiled. "Yes. It's because they're bonding so you can't come- " I commented but Cynade cut me immediately.

"No. She's coming with me. "

My lips quivered in shock. It was as if I had been stabbed repeatedly. Is what I heard correct? He wants to include Bella?

Why, Cynade? Why?

Bella and Aunt Beth smiled widely. "That's good!" Aunt Beth clapped her hands twice.

"Thanks, Cy!" Bella said with a smile.

Annoying!

Do they have something? Why would Cynade want to include Bella? Does he like Bella? Is he flirting with her?

How about me?

"Yeah," Cynade smiled.

I smiled bitterly and held back the threatening tears.

"We're going home," I said so they turned their attention to me.

Disappointing.

Via nodded. "Ah, yes. I'll just say goodbye to Tita Eliza," Via said goodbye and climbed to the top.

"Cy, leave us first. I just want to talk to Hira," said Tita Beth so my forehead furrowed.

Why does he want to talk to me?

Bella sat comfortably and smiled at me. I rolled my eyes.

Cynade just nodded and turned to me. I saw him look at Mila so I was embarrassed to take the sleeping cat and quickly handed it to him.

"Thanks," he replied and then walked towards somewhere.

"Why do you want to talk to me?" I politely asked Aunt Beth when Cynade disappeared from my sight.

The smile on Aunt Beth's lips disappeared and its true color came out.

"I don't want to wander around anymore so I'll straighten you out, Hira," she began. I raised an eyebrow.

"I don't want you for Cynade. Stay away from my niece because he is Bella's. He will never be yours because someone already owns him. Do you understand?"

"Yes," Bella agreed. I ignored her and turned to Cynade's Aunt and raised an eyebrow at her as well.

"I'm rude but I don't care if you don't want me for your nephew," I calmly replied. "Bella doesn't own him. Maybe Cynade only considers him a best friend." I looked at Bella with an evil look on my face. I just mocked her. "And you have no right to tell me to stay away from Cynade because you don't care about my life and what I want to do. I'm not going to marry you so don't interfere with what I want to do," I continued.

Aunt Beth stared at me sharply. "You're a rude kid, aren't you? "

"I am not rude. Whatever attitude you have shown me, I will also show you," I smiled at them.

Nothing comes out of Bella's mouth but it looks bad on me.

I saw Via coming down the stairs so I got up. "We're leaving."

"Stay away from Cynade!" sternly said Aunt Beth.

I gasped at the annoyance. "I already said that I will not stay away from him. And then if you want, you just stay away, after all, you were the one who thought about it,"I added and turned to Via with a frown.

"You're so rude!" Aunt Beth shouted at me.

"You're rude, Hira!" Bella shouted.

"What's happening here?" Via asked, confused.

"Nothing," I replied.

I looked at the two evil in front of me.

"We're leaving, Aunt Beth. Bye, Bella,"I said goodbye and pulled Via out.

"You have no right to call me Tita!" I heard Aunt Beth shout.

"Noted, Mareng Beth!" I laughed and shouted back and pulled Via away from them.
