Chapter 3 The Proposal

*Ella's POV continues*

"I am fine and do not need your help..." I gnash my teeth in sheer anger.

Everything and everyone suddenly irritates me. I found their sympathy and pity very unnecessary because they are not the architect of my misfortune

"You're bleeding seriously. Do you realize the amount of blood you're loosing?" The bodyguard sent to take me to the car lamented.

The expression on the unknown man face hardened. "If you want people to continue seeing you in a pitiful state, you can walk back to where you laid on earlier. The next coming car might not be kind as I am" he uttered, now harshly.

I batted her lashes angrily. "I didn't ask for your pity, crippled man! Keep your pity to yourself" I lashed out and I swear I could see a look of fire in the crippled man eyes. He must be angry I called him disabled and that is what I wanted.

I needed someone to get angry at me. I need something to put me in trouble. After all I am useless and I wanted death urgently.

It's unfortunate that I spent my fifteen years saving on my sister whom I never knew will cause my destruction. I wasted my life. I made sacrifice for the wrong people, the people that did not burn for me the same way I burned for them.

Pathetic!

*Nathan's POV*

I have seen faces before, all fucking faces but I have never seen one as beautiful as hers.

There was also a blatant innocence that clings to her so strong, it might as well be written in bold letters and engraved on her forehead. Beauty radiates at her slightest gesture. He noticed the slight jut of her hips when she favored her left foot.

I have never been entranced in a damn long time! Until now.

At the end, I have finally seen someone who would be my substitute bride.

Staring at this beauty before me, I had just one thing in mind. I wants to fucking own her. I wants to dirty her up. I wants to lay her flat on her back and fuck her so hard until she that angelic face of hers glazed with pain that comes from desires. I want to make her mine but I need to counsel patience.

Her light has drawn my darkness and I won't let her go! My need to possess her thrumpled along with the steady beat of my heart but he counseled patience.

She was reluctant at first but on a second thought, she followed Carlos, my bodyguard and he led her into the next car, which was a black Porches car.

I was wheeled on the wheel chair and was taken into the black Bugatti Veyron Mansory.

The two cars drove on the city road and the scenery outside the window kept changing, I didn't know how long the ride was because I was deep in my own thoughts. Tomorrow is suppose to me my wedding but my fiance ran away. I needed a wife urgently and I am very ready to pay any amount.

Alas the car pulled to a halt into a hospital and my mind snapped back to reality.

The bloody lady was taken in with utmost care if not for anything, I needed to be nice to this unknown lady as she might in turn help me by being my contracted wife, to save my ass tomorrow at least.

*Ella's POV*

I am very stupid as well to have wasted four years. Four good years of my life that I could have spent on something worth while

My world was blank. I laid helplessly on the hospital bed. I was being attended to by a doctor. Her head was bandaged and I was given the rightful medication.

After about three hours, I wasn't feeling any pains in her pons. I felt a little bit stronger but emotionally, I was down.

"What's your name?" The man with a brutal look asked. His wheelchair was wheeled in by a tall and lanky guy.

I sat up immediately. "What the hell does this crippled man wants from me!" I gritted.

"Look here Mr. Knowing my name will even make it more fun. I do not know you from Adam, stay away from me as I do not have anything to do with you!" I sneered. I hate men already. They are all scum and I am not ready to stand the sight of another Paxton in form of a disabled man.

"In fact it would have been better if you had let me die. I do not want to care about who you are. You are a rake or you are not a rake, I do not care and you shouldn't care what my name is!" I blurted out with disgust. All that Paxton did replayed in my memory and it angered me the more.

"Seriously? I just helped you and this is how you repay me?" The disabled man smirked, sincerely. I saw a change in his expression and I totally felt bad for my actions

"I'm sorry....my name is...Ella..Ella Gat..Ella Grey" I replied with a pain filled heart. I almost mentioned Paxton's name as my last name. I now look badly wounded and so emotionally unstable. All thanks to Paxton.

"Alright, I am Nathan. Nathan Jewel" the man told me and I glared at him. I wondered why he was telling me about his name.

Would I use it to buy some bread? Or will it being Paxton back to me?..

I scoffed.

"Okay, thanks for your help" I chose to answer him softly. My body stiffened the moment he had an eye contact with me. Why does he have to look so scary and handsome at the same time?.

"The day after tomorrow is our wedding day" Nathan let out icily which made me snapped uncomfortably.

"Our? Who are the ours?" I asked.

The man in charge of his movement wheeled him forward until he was close enough to her bed

"Relax. My fiancee ran away because I'm impotent so I need a substitute right away which means, I have an offer for you" he smirked and raised his hand. One of his men stepped forward and handed him some files.

I tucked her hair behind her ears.

"I do not understand?" I asked.

"You're not as stupid as you look or are you?" He asked instead. It made me reminds the same word Paxton said to me. He had said "you are as stupid as your senses!"

I clamped my mind shut and glared at this disabled Mr Nathan.

His expression was deadly and it made me wondered what he did exactly that made his bride to be run away or perhaps are the news about the disabled tycoon true?"

No, it can't be! The rumors said that he is a sex addict but how can he be a sex addict when he is impotent?...

Definitely a lie!

Whatever the case may be, he is really a dangerous man. He looks like it. He even uses the same words as Paxton. Who knows if they are even family?.

Devil incanates!

"A substitute for your wedding?" I smirked sadly and shook my head. My heart turned cold again.

"Was I destined to jump from frying pan to fire?."

"I have already sent out the wedding invitations. The wedding must be held tomorrow. You're the most suitable person right now and you still have six hours to think about it. You do not have to worry, I will pay for this. One million dollars and if you think that it is not enough, I can double the prize" he made his intentions known.

I almost choke at his words. She stared at him in disbelief. He is not only rude, he is also a show off!

Who is this man? And where did he come from?.

"You need to accept this offer because I will give you everything, money, kindness, care and affection and even more than life" he said.

I smirked. Isn't this wonderful? Hours ago, my husband promised my sister heaven on earth on our matrimonial bed and now, a strange man on a wheelchair is promising me forever?.

"Isn't this crazy?" I let out. I laughed out crazily as I do not know what reply to give..

"You have to think fast. If you decide now, I will call the stylist and she will take measurements of your wedding dress" Nathan looked straight into my eyes, his face steel and demonic.

The situation was too sudden and I could not recover from it for a moment.

I had just gotten out of a toxic relationship hours ago, how could I get into a contract with another man? A man I barely know!.

"The man I love is with my sister and if I marry you, don't you think this is too dramatic?" I could not describe my feelings at the moment. I only felt that this was too inconceivable!

"You need to tell me your decisions" Nathan retraced his gaze. A trace of firmness that I had never seen before slid across his eyes.

"I won't marry you! I don't love you at all, why should I?" I let out, dramatically.

Nathan smirked. "Look here, do you think I also want to marry you?...!" He growled, making my eyes to widen.

"I mean we both need to cooperate. I need a bride urgently to save my face. You still love your husband. So as long as you marry me, you can see him everyday! My legs are already paralyzed. Even if you marry me, I won't be able to touch you. We will only have a nominal relationship. Is it difficult to ask this?" Nathan glared coldly.

"Just marry me and I will help you get revenge" be added.

"Sweetheart, I promise you. You won't regret it. There is no second person who understand your pain asides me. We are exactly the same. Your husband cheated on you with your sister and my wife ran away. As long as you marry me, you will gain recognition with my position and you will have the same power as your sister. I have money, houses, cars, chains of company, I will give you everything you could ever ask for. Even the ones that are impossible, I will make them possible"

Nathan uttered, his eyes glistened gold and for a moment it was just the two of us. I felt a wave of sincerity in his words and I sighed deeply, breaking our eye contact. I thought of my pain, my crumbled life. I thought of Paxton!. How he sexed my sister before me! The divorce paper! My sister is pregnant for him too..

Could this be my means of revenge?.....

I was unsure.

"I will" those two words flew out of my mouth. I collected the pen and signed the contract with a trembling hand. After all he is an impotent man and I will have nothing to loose.....

But little did I know.

What if fate has another thing in store for me?

Logically, she could have rejected this offer but the words of this well collected man has started to sway her
