Chapter 9 Unnatural Behavior

As soon as everyone was ready, Chad, Jordan, and the three girls submerged themselves at the nearby diving spot. The beautiful scenery under the water mesmerized them all.

Raven saw a school of golden fishes and playfully swam towards them. Coming close to them, the school of fish scattered due to her presence, and her eyes widened with the kind of beauty this underwater world contained.

Curiously, she raised her hand to touch a few fish and hold the small beautiful sea creature in her hands. Her face lit up as she relished the experience. And even though she was in the water, the happiness on her beautiful face couldn't be concealed.

Unbeknownst to her, all of her actions were captured by an underwater automatic camera. The one person that didn't want to miss any chance in capturing important moments of her life could only smirk as he surveyed his work.

"Are you enjoying, son?"

Jordan was too startled by the sudden appearance of his father beside him while sneaking glances on his mobile phone that Jordan quickly hid from him.

Jordan cleared his throat and casually commented, "Yeah, unwinding like this is good since I've been busy with work."

"I see. It's good that our little Raven managed to convince you to join. Look at her... She grows up so fast. Soon she will turn eighteen already. She's such a fine young lady that I'm sure many men will try to woo her," Senior Choi said with a grin.

"She's still too young, Dad. You shouldn't let men court her. She needs to finish her study first. You do know how being in a relationship like that can distract students," Jordan retorted with a sour face.

Senior Choi's mouth twisted as he scoffed, "Ah, then do the honors guarding her, good son... From suitors..."

Jordan helplessly watched his father walk away from his whistling.

"I've been guarding her far too long already..." Jordan murmured with shrugged shoulders.

The group took more than an hour in diving and exploring the beautiful fauna around the island. Soon enough, they were back on their yacht and were now headed towards their next destination.

Their third and last stop was yet another small island. Surrounded by crystal clear waters, rock formations, and a few mountains, the combination of vistas made the island look like it came from a dream. It was very beautiful, and the place had more than enough spots for them to sit and have lunch together.

The chefs onboard the yacht had prepared an excellent round of lunch for all of them. Even the fishes that they had caught earlier had been cooked to perfection. The enticing flavor of the fresh seafood, along with the other delicacies ordered by Chad made them all drool with excitement. And as soon as the food was served, they all pounced on it and had a hearty meal.

Through all of this, a pair of eyes were constantly watching Raven, sometimes even seeing her munch on her food with her mouth full and her cheeks puffed up. That pair of eyes softened the more he watched. And when she laughed, with her hair blowing out into the air, those same eyes were filled with heated desires for her.

Meanwhile, Jordan made it a point to never leave Chad alone. He talked with him the most, drinking beer with him while asking for his company whenever he even looked as if he was about to have fun with the girls.

The girls noticed Jordan's efforts, of course, and they misinterpreted everything.

"What's wrong with your big bro? Does he like Chad like... that?" Sheena asked, rolling her eyes and raising her eyebrows at Raven while observing Jordan's unnatural behavior.

"Didn't you mention before that he doesn't have any girlfriend? In fact, he never had one up until now, right?!" she continued. "We've never heard of him or ever seen him court any girls before, right?"

"What are you trying to say? That my Jordan is a gay?" Yan incredulously asked. She couldn't believe what Sheena's been insinuating.

"Is it not possible? How old is he anyway? Twenty-seven already right?" Sheena speculated. "He should be married by now, you know? And yet, he's not even interested in courting any woman. Just look at the way he's sticking with Chad!"

"This should not be possible.... Maybe he's just fond of Chad," Raven couldn't help but reason out.

"You know how friendly Chad is. Anyone can like him in an instant. Besides, Jordan's just too busy with the company for the past few years to get a girlfriend, let alone have the time to court any girl."

Raven doesn't know why she's defending Jordan either. Although she knew he didn't like her, she just couldn't help but speak up for him when her friends questioned him.
