Chapter 3 Forgiveness

"Sophia hey!" Faith said and tapped me on my shoulders. "Why are you crying like it's the end of the world." She added.

"I just found out that I'm adopted," I said and hug her she hugs me back and tried to comfort me.

"Do you want to go home?" She said and I refused to. I don't think I'm ready to face them. I don't know but I think I'm overreacting but I was truly hurt. Why did they keep the truth."Come in, don't worry Trixie. I'll handle her." She said and I nodded. She held my hands and walk.

"Oh, What are you, Faith? You're letting someone else be in our house just like the lady a few minutes ago?" Trixie said and I saw Faith angrily looking at Trixie. "I'm just helping that lady, and this is Sophia you've known her for a very long time stop acting like an idiot." She said and grabbed me upstairs. We're in her room. Our room was the same because we planned to color it with light blue and the looks were so much alike.

"You didn't move a thing on your room huh?" I said and sat on her bed.

"Nah ah ah. You said that we can only change the style of our rooms when we are not best friends anymore." She said and I laughed at her.

"So Faith, Who's that lady Trixie was talking about?" I ask.

"Oh, she's unconscious on the ground in front of our house. So I took it in. But Trixie made up a mess and I leave the lady on the sala but when I returned only I saw was a note." She said. "But wait, I remember her face, it just looks like you but her face was more mature than yours." She said and sat down beside me.

"But, who were the ones help you. As you've said earlier you're unconscious like the other lady, am I right?" She asks.

"Ah that one, he's like at our age. But I didn't notice that I forget to ask his name." I said.

"Is he handsome?" She ask and I nodded my head and she went crazy.

"Why did you let that go, my god. " She said and I peace sign my hand.

I don't know either but he said we're still gonna meet. I don't know if he's joking or not but yeah my Friend was insane.

"Can I rest here? Just for one night." I said.

"Why only one night?" She asks sadly and pouts.

"I'm going to rent an apartment or dorm because I'm not truly ready to see my parents," I said.

"Don't you want here?" she said.

"I want, but we know your sister," I said and she pouted again.

"Aish that witch I want to ruin her," she said.

"Chill your heart, she's your sister," I said and calm her down.

"You're more like a sister on me." She said and hug me. "Aish what will I do without you," I said and hug her back.

"So, can you help me to find an apartment to live in?" I said.

"Yeah, I know someone who owns an apartment." She said.

"Let's go?" I said.

"Aish, It's 7:30 in the evening. The hell let's go to sleep." She said and she grabbed me to lay down on her bed. Her bed was soft and queen size. "Let's watch one episode?" I ask because I'm not sleepy at all. "Alright," she said and get her laptop.

We watch one episode of drama but because we're late sleepers we reached half of the total episode of the k-drama.

"Oh shoot. We need to sleep, It's already 1:00 am. And we have classes in 7:00." I said and she was shocked to know that we'd been watching for hours.

"What the fudge. Yeah hell yes." She said and starts to close her eyes and I imitate her.

"Argh, I can't sleep." Faith said and I also can't sleep. "What can we do?" I said.

"Let's watch how to sleep." Faith suggests.

"Is there a video of that?" I said confused.

"Yeah of course. " She said and play a video. A few hours ago of watching, I felt like my eyes were slowly closing.

"Sophia get up!" I woke up from Faith's voice calling me.

"What time is it?" I said while I'm opening my eyes. I saw Faith wrapped in a towel and just after a bath and kind of in a hurry.

"Yahhhhhhh what time is it?" I said and jumped out of bed. "Hurry up, it's already 6:57 am. I just woke up I took a shower for a minute so hurry up and you know the punishment of our dean." She said and I quickly get to the bathroom. After I finished I ran to Faith and ask her if she can hand me a towel. And she said yes.

"Faith I also don't have any clothes or uniform to wear," I said. "Don't you worry I got you. She said and handed me her uniform. Gladly she has plenty of uniforms

"Let's go." Faith said and we ran downstairs. We don't have much time to eat so we don't eat breakfast and immediately Faith's driver drove us to school.

But we didn't make it. We made it o school at 7:29 and then we saw the quiet school we had if it was class time. But the dean saw us.

"Hey, you two girls. Come over right here." He shouted and we both walk to Dean Santos.

Dean Santos was kind and nice but if you're late and didn't make it to class he'll punish you even if you're his favorite student.

"So why are you late? I bet you know what consequence your gonna face. " He said and we both nodded.

"C'mon get your brooms and mops, go to the gymnasium. And after that go to my office and write 300 words. No eating just eat after you finish all the tasks" He said and we continued walking to the gym.

"Aish, I'm sorry. I should listen to you when you told me that we're gonna sleep." I said at Faith but she just laughed and walk towards me. "You bitch it's all your fault." She said but I know she's only kidding 'cause she's laughing right now. "Aish you witch., I said and continue mopping the stage.

After a few hours ago, I heard the bell ring and we are close to the finish line, just kidding.

"Let's go?" I said to Faith. "Alright, just a minute I'm already done." She said and sweep the floor. She grabbed me to go to the office but we accidentally heard someone's saying.

"The new exchange student was so handsome. I'm sure he's mine." A girl said, and I know who she is. It's Hillary our classmate.

"I heard his name was Lucas, it suits him." Hillary minion said.

"We have a new classmate?" I said to Faith and she nodded.

"I bet he's handsome than other boys." She said and I just shrug my shoulders. I kinda feel hungry but we can't eat because we still have to go to Dean Santos.

"Go knock., I said to Faith and push her.

"Aish you bitch." She said and I just chuckle at her.

Faith knocked on the door and Dean said to come in.

"Go over there, and write 300 words. I'll tell your teacher to excuse you from her/his class until you finish writing," Dean said.

We walk towards the table, there was a pen and a paper I started writing and I'm super hungry that my tummy growled I also hear Faith's tummy growling but she's focused on writing so I continued writing.

After a few minutes passed, I finished writing 300 words to be passed. "Hey Faith, aren't you already done?" I ask her.

"Just a few more words." She said and write fast as she could.

"Alright done." She said.

"Here Sir." We said and hand our work to him.

"Alright, you can have lunch don't worry about being late for your class. Have a nice day and don't be late again alright? Just eat no rush, I know you two are hungry." He said and laughed. We all laughed and we said goodbye to Dean.

"Aish our Dean is kind, and never let students pass the consequences that they should face." She said and I agreed with that.

We went to the cafeteria. We only saw a few more students, maybe because they're all in their classrooms

We ordered a bowl of rice and a side dish, we also get snacks. Who cares we're hungry. We sat down by the bench, and I saw someone on the other bench but he turned away. So I can't see his face. I ignored him and continue to eat. "Are you finished?" Faith said while drinking her juice. "Yeah almost., I said and finished eating. I drink my juice too and suggest Faith to attend the class we have.

We got out of the cafeteria and go to the second floor where our classroom was. While going to our classroom I saw a boy who I saw on the bench at the cafeteria. I told Faith about him and we watched it in where classroom should he go. And we are both shocked to see he got in on our classroom.

"So that's our new classmate. Did you see the face?" She said and I shook my head.

"But based on what Hillary said that we heard earlier he's handsome." She said and we continued walking in our classroom.

I was shocked to see who was on my adjacent seat. It was him. The one who let me in on his car and help me. We're lucky that the teacher hasn't been here. I bet she's late again.

I walk to my chair and just been shy to be sitting with him on my right and Faith is beside me. I almost jumped out of my chair when he talk.

"Hi, it's you." He said and I turned into him to see who's his talking to. "Are you talking to me?" I said and he nodded.

"Oh, I remembered you, thank you for your help that day. I appreciate it. I also forgot to ask your name." I said and cover my mouth. What did I just say? Oh, the hell no.

"You're kinda cute and funny. Hoping to get to know more of your side. " He said and I was literally shy and I'm super lucky too because Our teacher came and he focused on what the teacher is saying. I remembered his name when Hillary said earlier at the cafeteria I guess it is Lucas.

But I ignored it and listen to what the teacher was telling. Hours and hours passed by and it was time to go home. All of the students ran out of the classroom even Lucas, I can't see him.

"Faith, let's go?" I said.

"Are we going to my aunt's apartment?" She said and I said yes.

As we were walking out to the school I saw mom and dad waiting outside the gate. They're sad and lonely based on their faces. Mom's are puffy eyes and obviously from crying. I want to walk towards them and hug them but there's a part of me that says.

"Oh shoot. They're here." I said and hide at Faith's back.

"Let's go back," I said and pulled her.

"What are you doing." She said and turned into me.

"I saw them," I said and my tears are trolling to get out of my eyes.

"I can't Faith, I love them but I can't. I want to thank them but I can't." I said and burst into tears.

"Shhh, It's fine. Just tell them when you're ready. " She said.

"Let's go, I'll tell them that you need space. I'm sure that aunt and uncle will understand you." She said and wiped my tears away. She held my hand and I hide on her back.

"Uncle, aunt." Faith said to mom and dad.

"Sophia." They said turned into me.

"She needs space, hope you'll understand that aunt and uncle. " Faith said bravely and pulled me. I saw mom teary eyes and I want to hug her so I pulled back Faith and hug mom and dad.

"I love you both," I said.
