My eyes widened in shock and horror. Could I be more unlucky?! I ducked my head even more and clutched the paper bag in my hand tighter.
What should I do know? I was already cornered! My head swam in complete panic- they're going to find out that I'm the underground girl and surely they'll be angry that I hit Leroy and then they'll blackmail me and make me do things I didn't want to do in exchange-
"You alright?"
I was pulled out of my reverie when the guy put his hands on my shoulder. My whole body jolted as a zap of electricity coursed through my body.
My instant reaction was pulling away as quickly as possible from the guy. I nearly tripped over my feet as I stumbled out of the cafeteria.
"Hey! That's the girl from yesterday! Catch her!" I heard another guy shout from the cafeteria. His words made my mind switch back to my normal mode.
I sprinted down the hall and towards the school doors. I could already hear the heavy footsteps not far behind me. Gosh! How could they run so fast?!
I threw open the doors and staggered to my bike. Throwing one last glance behind me to see all of them guys a meter away, I pressed on the pedal and the bike lurched forward full speed. Go, go, go! I mentally screamed as my bike sped down the road.
I kept on driving until I was sure that I was a good 3 miles away. Finally stopping in a random park, I got off my bike and dropped onto a bench in exhaustion and anger. The adrenaline quickly fading away and my mind whirling around a tornade of thoughts, I held my head in my hands. Before I could stop myself, I was falling into a deep dark tunnel.
My last thought before falling asleep was:
Those bastards, they couldn't have at least let me have my food!
"Yeah, gosh, what if she attacked us?!"
"When is she going to wake up?" Leonard voice filled the room.
"I don't know, but I seriously hope that she doesn't wake up until the other guys come!" An unknown voice replied.
"We're definitely doomed if that happened..."
"No,"
"Yeah...is she awake yet?"
"No."
"How about now?"
"No!"
"And now?"
"NO! GODDAMNIT SHE'S NOT AWAKE YET!"
"...now?"
"You sure?"
"WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP!" I suddenly screamed. Urgh what's all this racket about!? I rubbed my eyes until it adjusted to my surroundings. As soon as I realized that I was in an unfamiliar place, I leapt up. But what I didn't know was that I was in a bed... which of course led to me tripping on the bed sheets and tumbling ungracefully on the floor.
Groaning, I rubbed my eyes and tried to get back on my feet. Before I could properly recover, someone had jumped on my back and crashed me back onto the floor.
"Help me Leonard!" The guy who was sitting on me barked.
"Urgh could you wait Ty!" Leonard whined.
I struggled to sit up but Leonard squashed my hands. I opened my mouth to growl in anger but then clamped it shut. Then taking a deep breath, I used all of my strength and burst out of their grips. Before they could react, I was sprinting towards the door.
Just as I reached for the knob, the door flew open. My eyes flew wide and I froze as three more guys appeared. I spun my head around to see that Leonard and the other guy (whom I think was called Ty) had already recovered and were standing right behind me.
I was trapped.
My eyes darted everywhere for a possible escape but in vain.
"Don't even try," one of them said. Chills ran up and down my spine at his voice. I slowly raised my head up to stare at the familiar midnight blue eyes. It was him. It was him who made me feel those things. It was him the root of my new problems!
"What do you want?" I said in a deathly voice although I was shaking in anger inside. If I blew up right then and now, I wouldn't get the answers I wanted and more problems would arise. I definitely had enough problems as it was, there was no need for me to have some more.
The whole room remained silent as I shot daggers at him but he didn't reply- he just stared.
"ANSWER!" I barked, my whole composure flying out of the window. They all jumped...all except him. His reaction surprised and pleased me: he was now fuming and boy was that hot. His dark hair was wildly unkempt and a few stray locks fell across his forehead right above his blazing blue eyes.
"Do not talk to me like that! I am your alph-" He was cut off when Ty slapped his head. He glared at Ty before turning back to me.
"You're my what?! My ass?!" I snapped as I took a step closer and poked him hard in the chest. By now I was practically nose to nose with him and I could feel the electricity zapping and crackling between us. We were both shooting daggers at each other.
His body shook in anger as he growled, "How DARE you disrespect your alph-"
"-NOW NOW CHILDREN! CAN WE PLEASE CALM DOWN!" Leonard suddenly sang. Both of our heads snapped to him, resulting in the bumping of our heads.
"OUCH!" We screamed as our hands flew to our foreheads in sync. I rubbed my head and glared at him just as he did to me.
"You sick bastard!" I screamed- intense rage running through my veins.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SICK BASTARD?!" He screamed back.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SICK BASTARD?! ARE YOU TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND OR DID I BUMP YOUR HEAD TO HARD?!" I yelled.
"You little rat-" he snarled and lifted his leg to take a step forward but this time not only did Ty slap a hand on his mouth but all the other guys helped to hold him back.
I took this as an opportunity to sprint for the door but a hand shot out and snatched my ankle. I went flailing into the air but suddenly my wrist was pulled on and I ended up crashing into a hard chest.
My breath wheezed out of my lungs at the impact.
"Are you alright?" A soft concerned voice asked.
Goosebumps rose on my body at the sound and feel of his strong arms around me.
Snap out of it, Harry!
I instantly snapped out of my daydream and pushed my elbow into his ribs. With a hiss he loosened his grip on me. I jumped a mile away and whipped my head around to glare at him. A flash of emotion went through his midnight blue eyes and disappeared just as fast as it came.
Shaking my head I cleared the absurd idea that he was feeling hurt. HA! Like hell- I'm going crazy. It must have been anger he was feeling.
Straightening my back I snapped, "Don't. Touch. Me."
He scoffed, his lips drawing into a sneer, "You're the one who crashed into me like a big fat ass elephant."
"What. Did. You. Just. Call. Me?!" I felt the anger build up in me once more.
"Oh, so not only are you fat but you're also deaf as a stick. It's obvious you're useless as fuck, why were you even born-
"-louis!" Leonard and Ay cried out in unison.1
My eyes widened in shock as I froze and I was so thankful that my hood was covering my face.
You're a useless piece of shit who doesn't even deserve to be born! Why did I even give birth to you when you're just worthless! You don't deserve to live! You're NOTHING! NOTHING!
The sentence whirled around my head again and again- its words crashing onto me like it had never done before.
My eyes turned an icy cold as I shifted my gaze on him making him visibly flinch at my reaction.
"Look, I never meant to say that-" He started but I cut him off.
"Shut up."
His mouth clamped shut and I fisted my hands in tight balls.
"Just get to the point. What do you want?" My words sounding like a knife cutting through the air. His mesmerizing eyes drifted to me as he said,
"You,"
My fists unhelplessly loosened and my breath hitched as I struggled for words. WTH, a second ago I was angry and now...
"W-what?" I stuttered much to my dismay. You're supposed to be angry! I scolded myself.
"You heard me. Me, you, tonight at P.M at the underground,"
"What the hell?!" I shrieked.
"If you don't come, then you're secret will be out to the whole world," he smirked.
"You can't do that!" I seethed.
"Wanna try?"
I open and closed my mouth like a fish. He wouldn't dare...right? I've worked so hard to keep it up and he wouldn't DARE crumble it down RIGHT?! My jaw tightened and I wheezed, "I. Hate. You."
Everyone in the room froze. Louis suddenly recoiled as if he had been stabbed. A heart-paining emotion flashed into his eyes before they went hard. My heart started aching for no reason. Frowning in confusion, I surveyed the faces of the other boys to see that they had had the same reaction. Wtf did I say
"I hate you too," Louis's cold voice sliced through the air.
A searing pain ripped through my body and I slightly bent. Why the hell was I reacting like this?! My mind whirling in confusion and pain, I glared at him although he couldn't see it through the hood.
"Whatever," I was able to say before opening the door and slamming it behind me. Momentarily leaning against the door, I closed my eyes tightly and recomposed myself. I couldn't support the idea that he could have such an effect on me. I've never acted like this! Why him?!
Gathering up my strength I pushed myself away from the door and walked forwards. I pushed my hood slightly away to have a better look and my jaw dropped. HOLY MOLLY!
Am I dreaming or what?
Gazing around the luxurious place, I descended the staircase. It had a red carpet in the middle and the handrails that looked like it was made from pure gold. Still in a daze, I arrived to what seemed like a living room...it was three times bigger than my whole shaggy apartment. Turning slightly I walked through a white door.
I was instantly dazzled by the white pristine kitchen. All I could see was white. Even the floors and the island in the middle of the kitchen was white. Blinking several times, I dared myself to step on the white tiled floor. I was so afraid that my dirty shoes had smudged the floor.
I clutched the edge of the island and tried to get my head wrapped around the thought that I was in a house like this...I wouldn't be surprised if it belonged to a mafia.
"Quite luxurious, huh-"
As fast as lightning, I had already whirled around and produced my knife from my sleeve.
"Whaa," the guy gasped. I studied him before suddenly realizing that he formed part of the boys' group upstairs. My cheeks flushing in embarrassment, I quickly tucked the knife back in my sleeve.
"Sorry, I thought..." I murmured.
"Wow...you're quick," he chuckled, making me flush redder.
"Hey, it's fine. No harm done. I'm Crest," he gave me a grin and extended his hand. His black hair sticking up messily and his warm brown eyes crinkling up. I stared down at his hand before reluctantly curling my hand over his. I shook it firmly and then released it.
"Hayley," I muttered. His grin broadened considerably.
"Why don't you ever remove that hood of yours?" He cocked his head to the side.
"None of your business," I gritted my teeth and tightened the hood around me.
"You do know that we're not going to hurt you? Loius is just a bitch sometimes," He chuckled.
"Loius?" I frowned.
"Yeah, your mat- I mean the fit guy with dark brown hair and really dark blue eyes who loves argueing with you," he lifted an eyebrow in question.
"Oh...him," I creased my forehead.
"Yeah, him," he barked out a laugh.
"I don't like him," I tightened my jaw and ignored the weird feeling in my stomach at the thought of Louis. I wanted to try his name on my tongue just to see how it sounded but held my urge back.
"I'm sure you don't. He's a good guy when you get to know him but on first impression he looks like he has a pole stuck up his ass,"
I let out a laugh, "You betcha."
"So are you going to come to the underground?" he asked.
I glanced at him and thought over it.
"I have a fight tonight, so I guess I'll be forced to anyways," I said while shrugging my shoulders.
