Aurby's POV

"No one needed to say I was, you showed me that tonight with your actions." I confess and he stands there dumbfounded, and finally I walk away with the last word.

I walk to his other side of the desk facing him and politely fold my hands.

"What did you want me to do today? It's kinda late." I ask as if nothing happened, and he looks up confused.

"Nothing, just go." He says catching his breath and i tilt my head, shrugging my way out the door.

"W-wait." I hear his voice call out to me and i turn back, seeing him look at the desk shocked.

"Are you really gonna leave?" He asks me in a serious tone.

"You just told me to, sir." I smile confusedly.

"No, you must stay. I have more for you." He remembers briefly and i nod.

"Where is it, sir?" I question and he shakes his head.

"We have to go to my brother, Jax's building. There's files i need you to get for me." He states and i nod.

"Okay, when?" I question and he gets up putting his suit jacket on, "Right now." He confirms and walks out the office, as i am following right behind him.

"That's awfully sudden.." I murmur and he chuckles,

"Is that a problem?" He asks curiously looking back at me as the elevator opens for us.

"Of course not." I shake my head stepping in after him,

"Mhm."

He presses the lobby button and leans against the wall. I curiously look at his perfectly positioned body as it leans on the elevator wall,

"Where is your brothers building?" I blurt and he looks behind his shoulder at me, coldly.

"Speak formally to me, we aren't friends." He agitates and I frown.

"Where is your brothers building?" I ask once again, clearly not hearing the first time.

He slowly turns his head around and his body follows and I gulp nervously, fidgeting as he now faces me. The floors slowly go down to the lobby and i look straight into his eyes.

"Excuse me.?" He stutters, in shock and i shake my head.

"Where is your brothers building, sir?" I ask once again and I see him step up to me once again.

"You talk too much." He confirms to me and my eyes widen.

"But i jus-" I say before getting cut off with his hand as he puts a finger up to my lips.

I'm not gonna put up with this, he needs to understand how much of a real woman i am. I'm not gonna let him treat me like how he treats every woman.

I pull his hand off my lip and he leans back confused, just until a hint of anger flashes in his eyes. He shakes my grip off his hand as we're reaching the twenty third floor.

"Let me give you one piece of advice, if you touch me again without me saying you can...I guess the rest is up to your imagination." He warns me,

"Excuse me? You touched me before and i never said you can, so we're on the same page." I argue back and he shakes his head.

"You belong to me, I can touch my belongings." He states in a clear voice and a blank facial expression.

"I don't belong to no one." I argue again trying to push him away,

"I wouldn't want you anyways. No woman in the world is worth my time." He says pushing off me, and turning his back to me as the elevator opens.

Well, he did say no woman so that wasn't exactly directed towards me, right ?

"So are you gonna tell me where your brothers building is?" I question staggering behind him as his normal groupies crowd us.

"Sir, who's this woman?" I hear a woman crowd next to us and i look around.

He casually ignores them, grabbing my hand softly, making me walk in front of him away from the women.

"His building is down the street." He finally answers me and opens the door for me as we walk out leaving the women stunned.

"Why did you do that?" I question him curiously,

"Keep the women away." He mutters as i sense a hint of nervous in his voice.

"O-okay." I nod, clearly not believing that answer.

"Um. My hand?" I question and he looks down, as his cheeks turn pink.

"Let's go." He says quickly and the black SUV drives up to the side

"Your hand? Oh." He finally releases my hand, and i turn away shyly.

I nod, and he opens the door beckoning me to get in the car, I get in quickly and he follows sitting in the seat next to me.

I notice there's a empty side on his side, meaning he could've been at the other and instead decided to sit next to me.

Great.

"So what files do you need?." I ask curiously desperate to make a conversation.

Why do i sound so desperate. I'm Aurby Carter, i need to put my big girl pants on.

"Remember how I said you talk too much, I wasn't lying." He confirms and i can't help but pout. I feel just a tiny bit sad.

Instead, I stay quite for the rest of the trip to Louis building.

Once we get to his building, he opens the door leaving it open for me, I hop out and close the door.

We are greeted by a doorman, opening the door for us and we both walk in, Mr. Knight walks swiftly past the desk, pressing the elevator floor to the 20th floor which is the top on the list.

It goes straight up, not as fast as Matthew' building and sooner or later we get to the top and I hear a males voice echoing throughout the floor which is quite empty.

"What did you need?" Louis says as I stand a bit behind Matthew.

"I need those files, Sara tried photocopying P34 and Q53." Mr. Knight says and Louis nods carefully.

What's this file language? I don't know about them but I speak English so this is a bit of a language barrier.

"Alright, fine." Louis sighs and hands the files which were on his desk over to Matthew, who swiftly grabs them.

"Is this the same woman from a couple days ago?" He asks peeking over at my shy face.

I hear Matthew grunt softly, and he clenches his teeth.

"What's your name? I would like to formally introduce each other." He asks me curiously as i smile friendly at him.

"Mhm." He says blankly and looks down at the files before back up at me.

"I'm Aurby, And you?" I ask reaching my hand out. He gently grabs it back, shaking my hand.

"How many siblings do you have?" I ask curious, and I feel a hand take me back behind them.

"I'm Louis, Matthew' older brother." He nods to me and i smile up at everything

"We have 2 more, i'm his fraternal twin." He confirms to me and i nod stunned.

"Wow." I smile and Louis grabs my hand holding it tightly.

"She would look great with me." He says while Matthew grabs me swiftly.

"Please." He clicks his tongue pulling me behind him.

"That's awfully protective of you, Mathew. You don't even act like this with any woman." He says and I stand there shocked.

What does he mean, any woman?

I know how Matthew truly hates women, and its starting to hit me. Why does he get protective of me, it's not like he likes me!

"That's awfully protective of you, Matthew. You don't even act like this with any woman since mom passed away." He blurts out, and once he realizes what he just revealed a hand goes over his mouth, i stand there shocked, fidgeting with my fingers.

The only thing that crossed my mind was if he hates women so much, why is he protective of me like his brother says.

Once those toxic words escaped from Louis mouth, there came a evil glare from Matthew.

"Shut up." Matthew says clearly in a bad state of mind.

I gulp nervously and look away, as Louis looks worried.

"I'm sorry that came out wrong." He apologizes, pleading to him and Matthew in response shuns him.

"Mm. I'll be going now." He says grabbing the file out his hand, and I hear a female voice in the background.

"You're already leaving when your favorite sister is arriving?" I hear the woman say in a upset tone.

What the actual hell, where are all of these siblings coming from? Honestly...

Matthew has a somewhat smile on his face, and i can already tell how close they are to one another.

"Not anymore." He says while the woman walks passed me, softly smiling at me.

She walks towards him and wraps her arms around his waist in a hug, then she begins pulling away and walks over to embrace Louis.

"I missed you guys, but i'm back in New York." She reveals to them and Jax seems super excited. She soon turns to face me and smiles at me widely.

"Hello, who is this beautiful girl?" She smiles nicely at me, causing me to smile back.

"Right?" Louis agrees and Matthew looks at both of them, squinting his eyes.

"I'm Aurby, I work for Matthew as his assistant." I smile and she puts her hand out and I shake it gently.

"I'm Kylie Knight, their younger and only sister." She smiles at me and blurts out "If you didn't say you worked for him, I would've thought you were his girlfriend that he never had. Matthew, why are you making such a beautiful girl as your assistant."

"Oh." I laugh awkwardly, and she closes her mouth.

"Sorry, it's just you guys look really good next to each other. I couldn't help it, and also when i walked in Matthew had his hand on you... He doesn't touch people." Autumn reveals shockingly and I stand there stunned.

"Enough.." He pleads and she raises her hand.

"Sorry... Well anyways it was a pleasure meeting you, I hope I see you soon.. and Matthew, please don't screw up." She says and he clicks his tongue grabbing me, pushing me out the door softly.

"Screw what up? Say your peace, Aurby." He confirms to me and I smile at her, as her and Louis give me a soft smile.

"Call me!" I hear Louis exclaim flirtatiously, and Matthew clicks his tongue in annoyance.

"She won't be calling you." Matthew says and I wave shyly.

"Rude ass." I hear Louis mumble and Autumn begins talking to him as we begin to walk away.

"Why are they so amiable to you.." He mutters as he presses the button leading us into a small elevator.

"They're so friendly and nice.." I blurt out, smiling a bit as I reminisce how sweet his sister is.

"Again, you're gullible." He shakes his head causing me to roll my eyes slightly.

"Are you close with Kylie?" I ask out of curiosity and he turns around facing me.

"I guess you can say that." He answers slowly thinking about it still.

"What about, Louis?" I question to him slightly and he laughs at my question.

When I said he laughed, he wasn't laughing with me, he was laughing at my lame of a question.

"God, you're lucky you're pretty." He blurts out calmly with a blank expression on his face and I try to keep a calm collected face, meanwhile comprehend what happened.

Did Matthew knight just call me, Aurby Carter pretty? This guy is hilarious, although my hearts beating, make it stop. Act cool.

I think to myself and take a deep breath in, "So no?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"He's my fraternal twin. Use your brain, what do you think?" He tempts me and I catch on quickly.

"I'm supposing you're extremely close with him." I tilt my head waiting for the right or wrong answer.

He nods, and I smile. "And Sara?" I add on curiously and he shakes his head.

"No." He says quickly to get it over with and I frown.

"Why?" I ask curiously, and he shakes his head once again disapprovingly.

"Stop talking so much." He says putting a finger up to my mouth, and I slap it away softly.

"I'll talk as much as I would like to." I shake my head and the elevator floor opens swiftly.

"See how long that lasts for." He says annoyed and he walks out the elevator, grumpily.

I follow along as the door is opened for us at the exit, I smile at the man and Matthew walks right passed him.

As I roll my eyes, the famous SUV drives up to the sidewalk and we get in quickly.

I sit far in the seat near the window and he sits close to me, I watch carefully as he pulls up the divider from us and the driver.

Oh great, not this again...

"Why do you ask me such personal questions when you know I give in with you?" He pleads to me, finally showing me his soft side.

"What are you saying?" I ask confused and he snaps back into it.

"I mean, stop trying to bring out the soft side of me." He confesses and i tilt my head.

"Was it working?" I ask and he rolls his eyes.

"..." I hear a silent gulp and he clicks his tongue.

"Look, I've known you for a month and i can't stand you." He confesses once again and i gulp.

"Thanks?" I pout looking down sadly.

"Because you act too familiar to someone I lost. At first I didn't want to believe it but Louis pointed it out. Then when he called you beautiful, I felt jealous. You're making things confusing for me.." He finally confesses to me and I open my mouth, shocked with the words i'm hearing out of a man who'd i thought i'd never hear these words from.

What is he saying.. My heart is pounding and i'm extremely tied in a knot now.
