Chapter 5 Heal the King

Ava's POV

The day was so hectic for me after I had gone to farm to work.I got back home to do all the house chores alone.

My sister was at home watching me while I was working.it makes me really angry.

"Celina, please come and help me with the dishes,so I can quickly wash mum's clothes" I said.

"No ooo! I'm tired" she answered.

"You are tired again! Without doing any work" I said angrily.

"Yes I'm tired...I want to go and sleep" she said and stood up from where she was watching me and ran back inside.

I shook my head vigorously as I watched her going inside.

I concentrated on my plate and quickly washed it then arranged them.

Queen Charlotte's POV

In the Afternoon.....

After the maids were done cooking,I quickly looked for a way so they could leave the kitchen.

I sent all of them an errand to different places and quickly dished the king's food by myself and I brought out a substance from my pocket which I had quickly gone to collect in the morning.

I poured a little portion inside the food as instructed then mixed it together so no one would suspect and kept it back.

And a few minutes later a maid entered inside.

"Have you delivered the message to the prince?" I asked.

"Yes ma!!" She replied and I smiled.

"I have dished the king's food,you can serve him now" I said and left.

I pray it works,if it works the king will die slowly as I was told.

Prince Edward's POV

I was busy with my phone,when I heard a knock from my room door.

"Come in," I said.

"My prince, your food is ready" I heard and I decided to look up and lo and behold it was a very beautiful maid.

She looks so beautiful and curvy.

"Is she a new maid here, because I have never seen her before here" I thought and smiled.

"My prince, should I serve you!!" She said and smiled.

"Yes, serve me!! I'm really hungry" I said.

"Ok my prince,"she said.and as she was about serving the food I stopped her and held her hand.

"What my prince!!" She said,

"I don't want this food,I want another food" I replied.

"My prince, I don't understand? What type of other food did you want" she said.

And as I was looking at her she is just a timid girl.

"Please,my prince did you mean that you want to have sex with me" she asked again.

"Oh my God!! Why is this girl so difficult...why is she acting like a baby.if is other maids they would have agreed before I even say it" I thought.

"Yes!!" I replied.

I started hearing a lot of noises from different angles in the palace.

"Edisons's POV what is happening!!! Why am I hearing noises in the palace" I said.

"My king, I wondered, have also been hearing noises for the past few minutes now," Edward replied.

"Please go and check what it is because this is really strange" I said.

And I heard his footsteps as he was walking out.

"But what could it be,why are there noises in the palace??" I thought.

I wished I could see to know what is happening.

Edisons's POV

I was surprised when I walked out of the prince room.

All the maids were just murmuring like something happened.

While I saw some people crying,I walked for a long while before I got to the palace hall and that was where the real noise was coming from.i didn't hesitate before I entered the hall.

I saw the queen on the floor rolling on the ground and started crying profusely.

"What is happening? What happened? Why is the queen crying? Why are everyone crying and murmuring?" I thought while different questions kept popping into my head.

The only person there that was acting good like everything is alright was the prince... and before I knew it he walked past me.

I saw a guard like me and decided to ask him.

"Please what happened?? Why is everyone crying?" I asked.

"Will you say you haven't heard?" He said and rolled his eyes.

"I didn't hear anything!! Please tell me.if I had heard will I be asking you to tell me"I said.

"You are really joking right? Even the people that are not from this kingdom have heard about it, perhaps you are staying in the palace" I said.

"Please tell me what is happening. It was the pri...." I said and quickly kept quiet when I remembered that it was not all the guards that knew about prince Liam.

"It was who? What were you saying" he asked.

"I mean you should tell me,I'm really worried," I said.

"Ok.....the prince passed out not quite long at the council meeting" he said quietly.

"What?" I screamed.

"Yes," he said.

"Where is the king now? Where is he now" I asked.

"The healer is attending to him,so we are waiting for their outcome.i just pray that nothing happens to the king yet because i'm not ready for his son's reign yet" he whispered.

I was just speechless.
