Chapter 3 Sorra is From the Moon

Sorra's wolf was heartbroken at Sorra's coldness to their mate. She certainly had to admit that Thayor was enticing with his thick, curly black hair and black eyes. He had a wild beauty to him that called to her own wild heart. In another life, perhaps they would have a chance, but she simply would not give in to her instincts in this one.

They arrived at the Greyfang castle late in the night, and Sorra couldn't help but gape at the massive structure with countless towers and foreboding woods surrounding on all sides. It certainly looked like the castle of a villain with the ominous moonlight giving an eerie glow to the centuries old stone.

"What do you think?" Thayor asked proudly. She certainly couldn't deny the luxury of such a place.

"It's something," she said.

Normally Thayor wasn't one to talk much, but his mate's reluctance to speak with him was surprisingly frustrating.

Most werewolves, particularly royalty, found their mates before their twenty-first birthday and he was thirty-one. He had searched for so long for the woman to complete him, and here she was, just a breath away and he desired more than anything to know her, claim her, and love her.

"Tell me, where are you from sweet Sorra?" he said, trying to control his enthusiasm.

Sorra smirked. "The moon," she said sarcastically as the carriage pulled to a stop. "If I'm your mate, why am I still shackled?" Sorra said, changing the subject. Thayor's frustrating grew.

He gruffly grabbed her wrist, pulling her ear to his lips and whispered, "I will not let you go. You are mine. I bought you, the moon goddess gave you to me, and I am High Lord Alpha. I have the goddess, the law, and nature giving you to me and I never let go of what's mine."

Sorra ripped her wrist from his grip. He could have stopped her with his immense strength, but he felt his point had sufficiently been made. He opened the carriage door, stepped out and offered a hand to her. She glared at him but accepted his hand, to his surprise and pleasure. His wolf howled at this small victory and a stupid smile broke out as he helped her down. She glanced up at him, smirked at how happy she looked and her heart did a little flutter.
