Chapter 3 She hates him

Ares turned to the next page of the book.

" I am what many people describe as not so- goodlooking. As a child, I was being teased of being a plus size. Even my high school life was a mess. My Mr Monster is always there to always spell out my insecurities to me!"

"ARES!"

"I hate him with all the bones in my body! How I wish karma would slap him twice for me before I do..."

Ares smiled wickedly on reading the first page.

"Well, this is going to keep me company for a while" he smirked and kept the little book in his wardrobe. He got dresses in his night wear and slipped his feet into another pair of room slippers. He grabbed his pad and logged into his Instagram account..

As usual, his pictures got lots of girls tripping on Instagram, well except Amelia.

"Hi cutie, I miss you so much" he saw Reilly text.

"As you should" he replied her text instantly..

"Don't you miss me?" She texted.

"Why should I? And as per what... I spelt it out to you that there would be no string attached. We did what we did and we both enjoyed each other." He texts back.

"I know" she replied.

"But didn't you miss those times we spend together? You don't miss anything?" She asks.

Ares smirked before replying. "There's nothing of such!" He doesn't care if his words were hurting her. Reily is his mother's goddaughter, its more or less like she is the daughter of her mother's best friend, the Erin's.

"Alright. Let's not talk about that." Reily replied in defeat.

"I hope to see you successful in the next three to four years, by then, I'm sure you would understand what my feelings are to you. Always remember that I will always be here to cheer you up. I understand that I can't be your first priority for now. Your first priority are your goals, your career and your future. Keep going, I will be here to cheer you up"

Ares smirked at her message. He logged out immediately and wondered what Riley was thinking. They are just friends. Friends with benefits, but she always want more.

Ares ran his fingers into his hairs.

A knock came on his door.

"Ezra???" He asked.

"Yes sir" Ezra answered.

"Come in" he said.

Amelia woke up in the middle of the night. She could remember she slept with the lights on but now that she's up, she is in darkness.

She turned on her phone which she kept on her bed stand.

The power supply was out and it made Amelia worried. She woke up to read, but there isn't light. She got out of the bed, going to get the lamp in the sitting room.

"Wow, this is so nice!" She heard her mother gasping.

"I like these set of makeup, its nice." That was Emily's voice.

Amelia watched in amazement from the stairs

"I just came to check if Emily is back" she said, when she couldn't find her words.

"As you can see, she is back, Miss fatty" Mrs Theodore mocked.

Amelia scratched her head and returned back to her room. She sat on her bed and turn on her phone torch.

She sighed and started studying for her upcoming exams.

"I'm just going to be an ordinary wedding planner in the end, isn't my life great! Nothing is just so special about me. I'm fat, my hair is not pretty, I don't have a male friend not to talk of a boyfriend. I only have Irene. Gid please have mercy on my life!" She breathed out.

She studied for some long and slept off on her reading chair.

"Today was really a bad day for me! Ares made sure of that by putting glue on my seat in class. Innocent me just went to sit on it. When I couldn't stand, they all started laughing at me, throwing paper balls at me and spelling out my insecurities to me as usual.....it could have been done to me on anothsd day but why the day i was on my period! I literally nursed two pain at once.... "

"Firstly, the hurt that came from my cramps and the second was the hurt from humiliation. I couldn't leave the class till they all left for home, and when I tried standing, my skirt tore.. Blood from my menstruation smeering the chair badly! It was indeed the worst day of my life! ARES is my pain, my suffering....."

Ares closed the not immediately. He remembered he did all that to her, it was just for fun...

"You're a beast, an ugly one!" He couldn't help laughing at the thought of what Amelia had called at him.

He hadn't found anyone who could entertain him more than her. This is very different from physical pleasure.
