The feel of something wet dripping on her face woke Aster up from her unconscious state.
She blinked her eyes to get rid of the drowsiness. Darkness greeted her and engulfed her from all around.
She stayed unmoving for the longest time, trying to understand what was happening and trying to recall what had happened to her.
The pounding headache was not helping at all. Tears leaked out of her eyes due to the intensity of the pain. Her hand shot up to touch the wet spot.
She realised it was a wound because it was covered with hot – fresh blood.
Suddenly, memories hit her. She recalled what had happened and how she ended up in this dark place.
She was getting married today.
She gulped to reduce the ache in her throat.
How long had she been here for? Why did those Rogues kidnap her? She didn't have an answer to any of her questions.
She looked around in hopes of finding something but her eyesight was not good. She was wolf less so she didn't have the powers of a werewolf yet.
Everything was dark. She couldn't even see her hands.
She traced her hands down her body to feel the wedding gown against her fingertips. She was relieved to know that she was still dressed and her kidnappers had not attempted anything in her state of unconsciousness.
All of a sudden, a dim bulb lit up in one corner of the dark room. Aster's body jolted in surprise.
She looked around her hysterically. She couldn't see much in the dim light except for the shaggy bed she was sitting on and the white door on the left side of the room.
The dampness of the room created a nauseating smell. The dirty mattress made her sigh to herself heavily.
Goosebumps rose on her skin due to the fear of the future and the unknown enemy.
The door to the room was pushed open and someone stepped inside. The smell of expensive male cologne filled up the smelly place. She inhaled sharply.
" What do you want? " It was a stupid question, but she had to know.
No reply. The man who had stepped inside the room like an arrogant King didn't bother to reply to her.
The intruder walked towards her, his movement calculated and his feet not making any sound.
When he stepped in the light, Aster felt her breath hitching in her throat. A common reaction after seeing someone so – someone so breathtaking and ethereal.
His Eyes were black – No...They were Dark Brown, she notice this when she took a close look. His eyebrows were thick and sharp, a natural attractive shape which made him look intimidating.
His nose was straight, giving away how tall and proud he was.
His lips were pinkish in colour and pressed together in a thick line.
His shave was grown out a little, making him look manly. His dark brown hair were messy like he had been running his fingers through them.
His age seemed to be somewhere between twenty five – twenty eight and his height was perhaps, six something.
His body was athletic, Aster could tell this by how his black T-shirt hugged his body.
There was a silver chain hanging around his neck which was tucked under his shirt, Aster took notice of that too.
For a moment, Aster thought that her kidnapper looked like a normal man but the moment she looked up into his eyes, she felt her breath leaving her body again.
He had something going behind those brown globes of his. Some type of coldness and anger she couldn't understand.
Why was he giving this look to her? Because he was a rogue?
When she kept staring him down without blinking her eyes, the stranger tilted his head to the left. He pulled his lower lip between his teeth. A psychopathic move to say the least.
He knew what he was doing. He could see her trembling.
Aster inhaled, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
" Do you know... " He spoke in a whisper, his voice deep and inviting.
Aster swallowed the lump forming in her throat.
His eyes shifted down to her chest. She felt the sudden urge to cover herself but she didn't act on it.
" ...why you are here? " He finished his sentence and walked forward, making Aster want to run away.
Something about him was too wrong and too right at the same time. Something about him could scare everyone out of their whims and make them drop down to their knees.
Aster didn't know what scared her more. The mad look in his eyes or his hand reaching out towards her feet.
Aster was about to pull her foot back, but he reached out and grabbed it before she could do this. His grip was soft, his calloused hand feeling rough against her skin.
His hand travelled higher toward her ankle all the while her eyes were fixed at his never – wavering dark brown eyes.
" You are soft. " He commented and his hand stopped at her ankle, making her body stiffen.
He pulled his hand away. Aster sighed in relief.
" Please... Let me go. " Finding her voice, Aster pleaded.
" I will. " He replied.
Hope raised its head in Aster's heart. Maybe, rogues weren't as bad as everyone painted them out to be.
All her hopes were broken the next moment when he hooked his fingers under his shirt.
He pulled his shirt off his head, leaving his upper half bare. " I will let you go after I am done with you, little birdie. "
A wave of dread washed over her body. Her survival instincts kicked in after a decade.
In a lightening speed, Aster got up from the bed. The rogue threw his shirt on the floor.
" Please... " She tried one more time as she back stepped towards the wall to get away from him.
He shook his head and walked towards her. His steps were cautious and predatory at the same time.
Aster's gaze involuntary lowered to his toned chest and his hardened six pack abs. She averted her eyes immediately.
When he was a step away, Aster began trembling like a leaf.
Standing in front of this man, Aster thought her fiancé was hundred times better. At least, he would have asked permission before taking her in front of the whole guests.
' It's a lie. ' A voice whispered in her head.
She pressed herself into the wall helplessly.
" Cooperate and I will go easy on you. " The stranger tempted her with a horrible offer.
" What do you want from me? Why are you doing this? Please...please let me go! " Tears spilled out of Aster's eyes.
She sobbed and squeezed her eyes shut. She didn't want this. She never wanted it with Marcus but she couldn't refuse. She didn't want it with this man but the look in his eyes told her that he was going to rape her.
" Your father..." He breathed close to her ear.
The pull between them was strong. The moment he had stepped inside this room, he had known who she was to him. Yet, it was not hard to brush off everything and focus on his goal.
" Likes to hurt people, birdie. He must hurt too. Don't you think? " He whispered, his voice soft but his eyes holding the evil of the whole world.
Aster shivered. And sobbed harder.
" I am...I was adopted. I am not his daughter. Please let me go. I swear I won't tell anyone about you. " She begged again.
She prayed that somehow this man's heart turned soft for her.
All her prayers went unanswered.
He couldn't hear her pleas any longer. He had to get it done.
He had to hurt Alpha King and his fucking son, he had hated with all his heart.
Blinded by hate, he placed his hands over her shoulders and in a single moment, he ripped off her dress.
Screams erupted from her mouth. It didn't stop him.
He threw the tattered dress down and stepped back to take a look at her body. His heart had skipped a beat.
' Mine. ' His wolf growled in his head.
" Shhh...Don't cry. It will be over before you know it. " He didn't know if it was the most terrible thing he could say to her or not.
Aster forgot to breath or even scream when he encircled her bare waist and pulled her into his chest.
There was no stopping this monster now.
