Chapter 4 At the hospital

Kelly's POV

Sitting at the lobby, we waited impatiently for Mrs Pat and the doctor. Mr CEO sat beside me and watch me fidget.

"He's going to be fine. You are creating a scene." He said calmly.

I turned to look at him through my tear filled eyes. "What could have happened to Jayden? He's still a kid!" I cried.

Mr CEO looked at me, astonished. " Never knew you have come to love him this much. He will be fine." Mr CEO said and I looked away.

Mr CEO put his arm around me gently, patting my back.

Just then, the doctor appeared with Mrs Pat who hugged me immediately.

"Oh thank you, Miss Brandon! You don't Know how grateful I am! " Mrs Pat said. Her face was full of tears.

"You don't need to thank me." I said softly to her. Mr CEO stood up and came face to face with his mother.

Mrs Pat smiled with disbelief. "I can't believe this. You were really here? Oh thank you, Miss Brandon. I know you made him come here. " Mrs Pat said. I stole a glance at Mr CEO and faked a smile.

We all went to the doctor's office.

"What exactly is wrong, doctor? Will he be okay?" I asked, moving forward in my seat.

The doctor breathed in, smiling. " Your boy's gonna be okay. He just got into a big fit but he's getting better now. "

I glanced at Mr CEO to see his reaction. I wanted to Know if he was as glared as me.

I was surprised. Mr CEO was smiling with relief!

Some minutes later,we were allowed to see Jayden.

Immediately we came in,he jumped off the bed running to me.

Tears of love filled my eyes as I bent down, catching him up into my arms.

"Oh baby!" I sighed, pecking his head. Mr CEO and Mrs Pat stood, watching us.

"I was scared." Jayden's small voice came. Smiling, I looked at his face.

" I'm here now and dad's here too." I said, turning him so he could see Mr CEO.

Both father and son stared at each other.

It was fascinating looking at them both.

Jayden suddenly turned and placed his head on my chest, looking away from his dad. Mr CEO raised up his left hand just in time.

He dropped back his hand, turned and left the hospital room.

"Hey . You don't have to worry. Don't go after him. This is the best day of my life. How did you do it? " Mrs Pat asked, smiling happily.

" Wasn't he gonna come? " I asked.

Mrs Pat shook her head. "What happened today is just a dream come true. Thank you, miss Brandon but... Do you mind telling me your first name? Brian said you work as his secretary. I was surprised when he talked about you.

It is his first time talking about a woman ever since Ava left. I was so thrilled yesterday." Mrs Pat said, staring at me with renewed attention.

I'm sorry but I will have to lie again. "I'm Nelly." I replied.

"Wanna sit down." Jayden said, pulling himself down.

Smiling I put him back to bed, dressing his clothing. "You are gonna be fine." I said quietly to him.

" Please, Nelly... stay with my son."

Mrs Pat suddenly said. I was shocked at the request she was asking of me.

Mrs Pat nodded at my confused look. She came forward, taking both my hands in hers. "Yes, Nelly. Stay with my son and let him see the light again.

Bring him out of his shell and show him how to move on. I can see the ability in you.

Bring him closer to his son and make them unite. Please.. I Know you can do it."

I stared at her, still shocked.

Three days later, in his office, Mr CEO passed me a visa.

"And what's this?" I asked, picking it up from the table.

"What does it look like?" Mr CEO asked, staring up at me with an amused expression.

" It looks.. no, a visa." I replied.

"Yeah, a trip to Las Vegas?" Mr CEO said, drumming a pen on the desk.

My head snapped up. "Las what? Who's going to Las Vegas?" I asked, almost yelling.

" Hey, calm down. This is about business and nothing more. I've got a business conference meeting to attend. My father should have been the one to go but he's damn tired and asked me to go instead. And so, being my secretary, you will need to tag along with me. " Mr CEO said, shrugging.

No.. no.. no!! He sounded mischievous. There was this mischievous look in his eyes. I narrowed a look at him.

"I don't think I trust you,Mr CEO. What are you planning?" I asked, folding my arms.

To my delight,Mr CEO threw back his head and let out a laughter full of humor.

Brian's POV

"Okay,you got me." I said,getting up. I don't know the reason why but right I was so happy.

I walked closer to Nelly,and stood before her. "it's a business trip but I was also thinking we could do what we've always wanted?" I mumbled, staring at her.

For the first time in my life I was beginning to forget Ava at the sight of Nelly.

"Brian...." Nelly drawled.

Edging forward,I put my index finger on her lips,my face burning with fury....fury from wanting her so badly. " I want you, Nelly...I'm fucking mad for admitting it but everyday...I find out I really want you."

" But you just want casual affair. No office romance " Nelly said, running her hand down my button line.

Her fingers were like smooth linen against my shirt and I held her hand so she wouldn't be able to take it away.

Our eyes met and I felt something spark between us. "Get ready for the trip. This is away from home...away from office..seat from work." I told her, watching every fine angle of her face.

"How many days are we spending?" Nelly asked.

" Will tell you later." I said, moving back. I sat on my chair watching her as she left the office.

Smiling once again,I opened my computer and began deleting Ava's pictures on my files.

Kelly's POV

"Okay,I think you should tell me now." Grace said, taking another bite of her hamburger.

I sat silently watching her. I took a sip of my fruit juice and cleared my throat.

We were sitting round a table at Salazar's during lunch break. "Nelly's pregnant."

"What!" Grace asked, spitting out her hamburger. I nodded.

" But she isn't married. Oh my goodness! I thought as much! How could she pregnant when she knows her job at Patterson will be at stake?" Grace ranted.

I smiled politely. " Yeah. She's such a crazy girl."

Grace glared at me. "You're a good sis."

I smiled. "Thank you,Grace. I'm sorry I'm a little bit different from my twin. I just couldn't help being like her."

Grace smiled. "Think I can cope with you though. Don't worry,I'm gonna guide you till the real Nelly's back."

I was happy to hear that. " Really? That's nice of you."

"Without me I Know you will get into trouble with Mr CEO. Be careful."

" Nelly's currently in Los Angeles. She will be back after delivery. Please... don't worry. I'm gonna leave as soon as she resumes." I assured Grace. Just then,the door opened and new sets of customers came in.

My eyes widened when I saw someone coming in with them. Sebastian...my ex boyfriend!

His eyes were quick to see me. His grin widened as he started coming towards our table.

Frowning,I stood up folding my hand. What does the bastard wants? He broke my heart by taking advantage of my sister and using our identical look as an excuse.

What a pervert. " Yes? What are you doing here?"

I was shocked when he pulled me closer and started kissing me madly in front of everyone!

I fought him off with a slap. "How dare you!" I yelled,not minding the crowd that had gathered to look at us.

I could tell Grace was very embarrassed because she quickly stood up and fled.

"You didn't have to slap me,Kelly! I missed you?" Sebastian said,his eyes reddening.

I stared at him, remembering the nine months I spent with him. He has always been so cute to me then but right now,he looked irritating.

"And who cares if you missed me or not? We have nothing together again and you have no right to kiss me that way!" I yelled at him. I grabbed my bag and turned to leave but he held back my hand tightly.

"And where do you think you are going to? You were going nowhere!" Sebastian yelled back.

"Let me go!" I shrieked. " Security! Security!!" I yelled as he began dragging me away. "Why are you staring at me! Somebody should help me!!" I cried.

" Shut up! No one's gonna help you!" Sebastian yelled back.

" Says who?"

My head shot up with a sigh.

I know that voice. I know it!

And I was right. How did he...?

Standing in front of the door like an angry soldier is Mr CEO... looking as furious as ever!
