Chapter 7 MADAM MURRAY

Vrak was one of the ten big and famous cities in Parat. Parat is a huge country that gained its independence from the invaders over three hundred years ago. At some point, Parat was ruled by the monarchy but that was changed around two hundred years ago when democracy was introduced.

With democracy, Parat became better and more families showed their potential, improved the country, and led the cities to a higher standing. This is how the major ten cities came to be.

Vrak wasn't a capital city but if it were to be ranked out of ten, it ranked sixth and it was on the top of the list for many people living in those lower-tier cities and small towns.

It was a city everyone wanted to be but it came with a huge responsibility which was money, if you wanted to live a high life, you needed money and without it, you could only live like a pauper.

In Vrak, there are eight major families and these families are what unites Vrak as it is. There are like the pillars of the city and everyone in the city and outside looks up to them.

There are the Murrays', Anderson's, Leonard's, Calder's, Sinnett's, Redmond's, William's, and the Smith's. these eight families are the cream of Vrak and everyone just dies to associate themselves with them.

Inside a spacious living room, a woman wearing reading classes was frowning and her expression didn't seem good as she read the documents that were in her hands. She had been reading them for over an hour and she was already on the verge of going crazy.

She removed her reading glasses as soon as she was done reading and sighed as she looked at the older man respectably standing by her side, "Is this everything you found on her?"

The man who was by this woman's side was the Murray's butler who had been serving in this family for decades and as someone who had been by his Master's side for years, he could easily recognize that the madam wasn't happy at all.

"The guys had been at it for days and yet after everything, that is all the information they could find on the girl," the butler respectfully answered as he was afraid that a slip of a tongue will make the madam crazier.

Madam Murray, the current wife of the Murray's patriarch scrunched her eyebrows as she massaged her temples that were aching due to the lack of information on the girl or vixen her son was currently interested in.

"Is there any news from the mansion?" Madam Murray or Aaliyah asked once more.

The butler lit up when he heard that and humbly replied, "yes, the informant sent a detailed report earlier and from the report, I gathered that the Young Master is not yet intimate with the girl. It can be seen that he may not be that interested after all in her otherwise there should be some news by now."

Hearing that, Aaliyah was relieved all of a sudden. She hated vixens the most, especially girls who use their looks to catch a man. What Aaliyah hated most about this Elektra character was the fact that her son who was known for his self-control, lost it all when he met this girl.

She felt as if her son was schemed against and that the girl wasn't interested in her son in that way but she was with him for money. All the girls wanted to be with her children for money or benefits, she would rather have someone else she knew than a girl from a small town with only four years of life recorded.

Aaliyah hated the unknown, she didn't even know where this girl came up from. If she was not a scammer, would she be afraid to let anyone see her face? Why was she hiding behind that veil?

What she hated the most was how her son had fallen for that vixen? She was his mother so she knew him the most. She had thrown so many ladies at Kasper, not just anyone but screened and from good and respectable families but he never looked at any of them.

What came as a shock was the appearance of Anisha? Who knew where the little girl came from? Anisha was around one-year-old when she was left at their doors with just a letter.

Until today, they still have no idea who Anisha's mother was. In order to get to the bottom of Anisha's appearance, they had a DNA test done and it came out positive.

Since the child was there, they decided to take her in and take care of her. at least Kasper didn't hate the child but loved her like a father he was which was a huge relief.

Now that a vixen from nowhere was on her son's side, she wanted her gone but she didn't want her son to suspect her as that will cause a strain between them. He just wanted what was the best for him and nothing else.

"Umm, that is good then. Before they have a chance to do that, we should do something about it."

The butler understood what Aaliyah was implying so he agreed with her.

"Let's do a tea appreciation banquet. It's a bit cold and it will be nice if the young ladies have some tea in this weather," Aaliyah smiled slyly as she gave the butler the suggestion.

The man understood the madam perfectly so he agreed completely with her, "I will have the people start away. Should I invite Young Lady Alice?"

When Aaliyah heard that name, her cold eyes had a flash in them before smiling, "she is a good child. Send an invitation to her family too. Even though her family is not part of the major eight families, I partly raised her and I like her. Go ahead and do that."

The two talked for a while before the butler left Aaliyah to her own devices. Aaliyah knew her children so well, so how could she not know that her son was the one who abducted the little girl? So, what if he did?

It was Elektra's fault that she enchanted her son and for that, she should suffer and leave with nothing. Her family wasn't just for anyone, especially those from unknown backgrounds.
