Chapter 2 A NIGHT WITH MR BRUNO

**BEAUTY'S POV**

I walked to the restaurant, downstairs,since it's lunch break

After what happened back then, didn't know how to feel,except from feeling useless ofcourse

"I want potatoes and veggies please'

I told the company cook at the company's resturant

She looked up at me and completely ignored me,not the first time though,it's like everyone here hetaes me except Jessi of ofcourse,what did I ever do to them

"What do you want our handsome boss"

The woman snapped smiling uncontrollably

I looked back ,my heart raced

"Fish in batter and sauce"he replied

it's him,Mr Bruno!!, beads of sweat clouded my face suddenly cus of nervousness

"Oh you are here first I apologise,tell her want you want..

His calm voice always send chills to my body like how can someone be so gentle,kind and handsome,altogether

Mr Bruno is a perfection,a man like him will never notice someone like me,I wish I had a body like JESSI'S maybe I could get a chance

"Miss?

His voice cuts in my thoughts

"Eh?

I snapped absentmindedly,my eyes widened

"Tell her what you want"

His eyes were sparkling,how can a human eyes be so dreamy,I think am drooling

I slapped myself on the cheek hard

I whispered to me

Then I smiled awkwardly back to Mr Bruno who stood there confused

"I..mean..pie, chicken pie"

His face was priceless,he looked scared of me for a moment,I was weird to him,gosh I am so so stupid, embarrassing like that infront of him?

The woman cuts into my awkwardness

"You said potatoes before.."

Her brows arched ,she looked pissed by me

I turned and looked at the woman absentmindedly

she looked like she was about to slap me but sir Bruno was a huge obstacle for her,grateful he was here with is or else,am pretty sure she is gonna do something horrible to me

I laughed awkwardly

"Oh yh yh pota...potatoes,am sorry"

I brushed my hair with my fingers,embarrassed ,I bent my head slowly

"am sorry"I apologized again in a whisper

She dished the food out ,I carried the tray of food and bowed to thank her

I slowly walked to my fav table spot to eat

I had the temptation to turn and look at him again

He went and sat down at the table opposite mine

"Was it intentionally,of course not,you are the one into him not the other way round"

I fought within myself

"Beauty!!_

Jessi appeared from no where and snapped into my ear to starle me intentionally

I choked on my food

coughs and grabbed my cup of water

"am so sorry"

I looked at her then back again this time fast to check out what I saw again

"Jessi you are braless"

I whispered,covering my face

"Yh it's no bra day, everyone is supporting except you"

I whispered back, feeling a bit insecure,how she have such a perfect pair even without bra

Her boobs were perfect ,her nipples were visibly percing through her transparent white crop top,down her tiny waist her pierced bellybutton and that tiny waist head on her waist

I sighed

"Everyone is perfect in here except me"

I can't believe I said it out,I covered my mouth with my hands, stunned

I sighed again

I just hope he is not hearing any of this cus you know how it feels when you are with your crush and then mess up

I hope she buys it

I knew it won't be so easy though

"Jessi please,for goodness sake!!!food time okay we will continue after I had to eat and get back to work"

I sounded in a way that she suddenly agreed

"Well why not,that tone in your voice scares me girl"

I shook my head

She leaned forward pecked my forehead and left

I stole a gaze again at the table where Mr Bruno was sitting

His phone was in his hand ,he hardly touched his food,he looked so into his phone,with his hands Working on it like he was being remoted

"I need to say something,I can do this,just say something,this is the only time I can get to talk to him in person outside work stuffs,oh no I can't do this"

I closed my eyes and sighed,my palms and ears turned red,am going to embarrass myself

You will look like a joke to him, desperate for attention,you are fat and ugly,and everyone sees you as an idiot,even... Jessi sometimes,how on Earth do you think you will make friends with him,Mr Bruno!

a tear dropped down my eye

Oh no I need to stop thinking,or I embarrassed myself,with those tears

I damped my eyes , looking up our eyes met,I quickly faced the food I was eating, pretending to be seriously enjoying it

Slowly I stole glance

His eyes were back to his phone

I should do it,what's the worst taht can happen

I cleared my throat , finally am going to say something to him after three years working in the same company

"Sir you haven't touched your food,are you worried.....I stopped

am not his girlfriend

"you are pressing phone while eating,bad table manners

I was dragging in my mind

Wait I said this one out,so stupid

I slapped my forehead

He gazed at me and then to his phone back

It's just a plain black phone park

I smiled nervously at him realizing how stupid I must have sounded to him

His voice was calmly

I said in my mind though

I don't know about today but for me,I achieved something

I stared at him closely

"Your food will get cold if you don't eat up"

I said this time not too nervous

He totally ignored me

I felt like a fool,then he quietly replied

"I really wanted to finish this typing works but there's alot of pages remaining,I don't want to fail"

Apart from being calm ,etc,he is a workaholic,a freaking workaholic,kinda the type taht sees failure as something worse than death

"But if you don't ,something else is gonna fail"

He looked up kinda amused

"And what's that?"

His lips drew into a tiny smile ,he looked up

I tried to avoid eye contact

I was so happy,I can't believe I did it

He switched his phone off and put it down on the table

Then he started eating hungrily

I was watching like a proud mama, smiling at him,my hand carrying the weight of my jaw

After watching for sometime,I had a crazy idea

"I can help with the typing if you want,I mean it's part of my job too you know"

I ofgered

He shook his head,with his mouth full

"Alright"I said a bit sad

Done with my food,I made to go back to my department

I bumped into Kathy

She's the face of the company,an idol that can only be compared to Kardashians and Jenner's etc,a face of many beauty brands,well like I said I was the only imperfect person in this company

Kathy is one freaking beautiful lady,and she is aware of her charms

"fatty!!,are you blind?"

She yelled out at me

Her assistant was dusting her expensive outfit

"Am so sorry"

I replied shamefully, everyone's eyes on us now, worst

He ,Mr Bruno was watching us too

I cursed in my mind

She thundered again

She came and stood beside me

Kathy turned to her with arched brows

"Easy for you to say,she's too fat to fit into this company, bumping into people like that,who does that,very irritating"she sneered

I slowly tried to walk to my post, holding back on my emotions

She seem like she's yet to give her all to me

"Don't you walk away from me,you bag of pudding!'

My fingers crushed into a fist ,I was so angry and annoyed

"Am fat!!, Yh,and ugly I Know it!!!,find something else to hurt me with cus am not hurt with those words anymore,go on ,try something else!!,Kathy you are are so perfect and am not not,that's outdated,torire me with something else"

I was saying this boldly,but my emotions were saying a total different thing

My legs were visibly trembling,my face flooded with tears,my hands shaking nervously

Kathy noticed

She sighed deeply,with a soft chuckle

"You're crying like a baby again?,thought you grew up,well am satisfied with the result,next time look before stepping on my toes"

She snapped with a warning finger

"You're irritating Kathy"

Jessi sneered

Kathy giving no damn chuckled out loud

"Well I know hun"

She turned to her crew

"Let's go everyone,next time avoid me fatty"

She left, the magazine crew and journalist who longed for her interview, followed her like puppies

I stood there not knowing what else to do,I couldn't even raise my face to look at anyone in their eyes

I walked slowly heading to the restroom to the restroom,Jessi followed

As soon as I got to the restroom ,I slammed the door,crying my heart out

"Open the door beauty"

Jessi said, knocking on the room door

"You should stop calling me that"

I snapped in tears

"I hate it.."I yelled back

"Don't start with your sermons,I am not crying because of what she said,am just..crying because....

She hugged me, without hearing me finish what I was about to say and pecked my cheek

"Am proud of you ,if I was in your shoes,I will be in the police custody right now ,charged for murder,Kathy is an asshole, don't let her words get to you,a freaky bitch,all she does is to look good and she snot vwn taht good looking..

I galnce at her

"Alright yeah she avoid looking but ...she got issues okay she's so irritating that I feel like hitting her right in the face"

"with that body and visual she got ,she's perfect,her character doesn't count"

I replied drying my wet cheeks

you're right beauty, she's definitely perfect in the world's beauty standard,a perfect figure ,but i won't tolerate her rudeness towards you,you didn't create yourself beauty, you eat very little than most of us,I want you to believe in yourself,you're really a beauty ,it's not just a name,it's who you are,jsut please see yourself like I see you, please"

She hugged me with a smile

we went back to our different departments

Even though Jessi was trying so hard for me ,as a good Friendshe is, sometimes she act differently and those times are my hardest times

I got to my desk ,sat down

I sighed deeply them I pulled out the cabinet ,carry out some folders,and placed the on the table,going through them,I found the particular documents ,I was searching for

I put the folders back,bad pick up the document heading to the capture room

I had to summit the hardcopy feedback reports from the customers on our Fashion magazines

I stopped in the photo house

Mr Bruno was there with his assistant and other models

I walked to Jessi

She was standing near Me Bruno

"What's the theme?"he asked her

"Seduction"Kathy said with a seductive tone

I snapped in my mind

Kathy was the model for this theme's photoshoot,her body goals hit differently,also

she's picture perfect ,the cameras love her,is like they're kissing her with their flashes

He stepped and walked over to my side to get a clear view from the editor screen ,my heart raced never been this close to him

Then he stood up to look at Kathy

Same time ,she stripped naked

I gasped in shock

I was startled,I didn't know when I covered his face with my right hand and closed mine

Then realizing what I did ,I opened my eyes widely,I galnce at him ,them to my hand still on his face, covering his eyes

Oh my Gosh,what did I just do,I quickly removed it

"Oops am so sorry I.."

Surprisly he put my hand back on his face

I swallowed nervously,what's happening,why did he do that

"Can I borrow your palm for now,believe me ,I don't wanna see this"

He said calmly

I replied awkwardly with the feeling of embarrassment

Jessi and the others looked towards us,I can feel the heat of anger from Kathy's eyes

I felt uneasy,we looked awkward in that position,but what am I supposed to do ,Sir Bruno put it there himself Thai time

Kathy hissed

"Some people's hand do make a nice big canopy ,welll thanks to their fat"

I looked at her ,like this bitch got issues

",Can someone get me a drink am thirty!!"she ordered

Her assistant came running with a cup of water

She's done with the photoshoot

"Now you can put down your hand"Mr Bruno said

I slowly let go

and turned to leave

"Kathy apologise to ..sorry what's your name?"

That question hurts me more than Kathy's words,really he doesn't even remember my name

Jessi replied instead

"Am not apologizing for nothing!!"

Kathy fumed

"Maybe you've forgotten who I am though, please kindly apologise for your words,it's not nice at all"

I didn't wait to hear her,I left the place

Later that evening almost closing time

He came to me

My heart leaped

He dropped a folder on my desk

"You said you are going to help me type"he said with a broad smile

I don't remember when I made taht promise,then j ahd a flash back

I gazed at the clock

But It's almost closing time

"Now?"I asked still confused

I started work

Jessi kissed me goodbye and left

I texted my parents,about coming home late

I can't stop stealing glances at him

Suddenly ,he got up from his chair,he went to make a cup of coffee for himself

He was the last person in the company with me,also busy with his laptop

He looked so focused about this work,I was the only one stealing glances at him

4 hrs gone,it's 10pm

I continued working tiredly, yawning everyminute

The paperworks seem endless

He came to me and dropped a cup of coffee on my table

"Here but If you are tired you can go home or sleep in my office"

In his office?

I felt the whole sleepy feeling clear from my head

"Are we going to sleep together in the same room?"

I asked little excited

"No,so don't worry"

Who is worried,I would love it,i said in my mind pouting angrily,I thought something romantic was going to happen

I took the cup of coffee angrily and finished up the drink,like I was talking a shot of alcohol

I coughed a little

"Am not sleepy and I am going to finish this work"

I replied intensively

"Thanks for helping"

He replied grinning

I ignored him ,focused on the system like a determined worker ,the next minute I slept off

I felt his fingers ran through my legs
