Chapter 6 six ( The motherly hug )

Aqua Louise Pov:

I opened my eyes and sighed, but then... "How do I get here?" I ask myself, I look around my surroundings and gasp....I was still in shock when the scene of what happened flashed through my mind, how I met a woman in the market and how she took me here and then I passed out. "Why do I pass out?" I ask myself.

"No....No..." I panicked when I remembered the reason why I passed out.

This is Alpha Rudolfo's pack. He's the most feared and dangerous Alpha ever known. I can't be here, I can't.

I jumped down from the king-sized bed that I laid on, looking around. I can't see my sandals, though they are worn out but it's the only one I had. I started walking around in panic looking for them.

"I have to live here, it's not safe I have to" I continue to mutter to myself, I also heard he hates intruders, "What do I do?" I said tapping my foot on the tiled floor with my left hand on my shoulder and my right hand on my head.

My breath is at its peak as it keeps on going up and down with my heartbeat doing a marathon. I was still in thought and distorted shape when I heard the door click open, I jumped up in fright and staggered back, "Who could it be?" I ask myself when I saw no one, even if it's the Alpha I need to leave a good impression.

I drew back and sat on the bed, placing my two hands on my lap. I tried my best to steady my breath. I sat awaiting the person, just like my hunch is right I saw a figure coming in, I gulped down saliva preparing myself for the worst, but my heart calmed down when a smiling woman came inside the room, she was the same woman that picked me up from the garbage. I breathe out in relief giving her my genuine smile.

"Ohhh...you're awake?" She ask and I nodded my head

"How are you feeling now?"

"Better" I muttered slowly.

"Mmmm..." She hummed, still smiling, making me wonder if this is how she always is..."Then why is Alpha Rudolfo mean when he has such a nice aunt?" I thought

"Earlier you passed out today, why?" She asked, I fiddled with my finger not knowing what to answer her, I picked on my nails like it's the most interesting thing at the moment.

"Child..." She called tenderly, she raise my chin to look at her, as I stare into her eyes I see the heart of a mother, I see love and affection, I felt loved even if it's for a second I felt cared for, the love that my family couldn't give me, the love that my own mother who birthed me could not give me that is what a stranger is giving me.

For the first time in my life, I wanted to feel what it is like to embrace a mother, to stay in her embrace to feel her warmth. A tear fell from my eyes but I didn't wipe it because this time around it's tears of joy, it's not of pains, regret or sorrow.

"Can I hug you ma?" I ask

"Sure dear you can" She replied and opened her arms for me in a wide embrace, I ran into her arms, hugging her to myself, I felt fulfilled, contempt, and okay most especially I felt loved. I cried on her shoulders for a long time and by the time I raised my head, I couldn't cry again.

"Thanks, mam for allowing me to hug you," I said to her, suddenly feeling shy for crying in front of her.

"Ohhh... it's nothing child," She said, waving it off and I smell, she's such a cute old lady.

"I brought food for you, come in..." She said and immediately the door opened and a girl of my age came in, she dropped the tray of food she was carrying on the table, my mouth watered immediately she dropped the food.

I waited for her to live, and immediately she was asked to live by the lady my heart did a leap, I rubbed my two hands in anticipation

"You may dig in honey," The lady said to me and I smile like my stomach is feeling what I'm feeling it growl and I smile in embarrassment

"Don't be shy dear, I'm like your mother" She said caressing my head

"Eat up before it gets cold" She nodded towards the food. I smiled shyly and took the spoon. I dug into the freshly prepared beef stew, which looked mouth-watering. Immediately I took it into my mouth, my eyes widened as I closed my eyes and chewed it in ecstasy, but the taste was too delicious.

I started eating it hungrily, not allowing any of it to go to waste. I kept on eating and eating, I was surprised when I wanted to take another spoonful but found the plate empty. I look at the woman to see her smiling at me. I dropped the spoon nervously and sighed in disappointment. Guess I was too engrossed in the sweetness of the food that I didn't know when I finished the whole food.

"Thanks for the food mam"

"You're welcome honey"

She pressed the intercom near the bed and the door opened, another servant rushed in and this time it's a male servant.

"Take the plate away," She said and he took the tray, he bowled to her and left.

She adjusted on her seat and look at me still smiling

"Tell me child, why did you faint earlier today?" I sighed, guessing she really wanted to know, well I have to tell her she's the second person to show me love apart from Silva, thinking about it I really miss my best friend so much, I wonder how she is doing now? Did she later find her mate? I wonder if I'm the only unlucky one.

"Dear.." The woman called holding my hands, I shuddered and jerked back to reality.

"I...I...passed out earlier because I never expected you to be an aunt to Alpha Rudolfo"

"Why?"

"I heard he's a dangerous Alpha" I replied, and she sighed,

"You don't have to be afraid dear, I don't know why I took a liking to you the first time I saw you but I think something is special about you"

"Thanks, mam" I replied

"Now tell me about yourself"

"Me......?" I ask pointing at myself, and she nodded her head smiling

"What if you hate me too after hearing my story?" I ask dreading the unknown, I don't know where I will go from here if I'm asked to live

"I'm a mother-child, I can't do that," She said, touching my cheeks, looking at me with assurance.

"Okay this is what happened"
