Chapter 2 A Thrilling Ride

Haisha- So... Why am I tagging along with you guys again?

Kazuto- Let's not press on the past... What's significant is the future...

Haisha- *in his mind* I guess I haven't introduced myself to you guys... Hello... As you know... My name is Haisha... I have the ability to talk to you guys... Who're reading this... From my perspective... It all started when I was 4 years old... My mom saw people reading my life story in a dream... And... Somehow... People enjoyed reading about a 4 years old boy walking around the room and eating raw vegetables...

Kaori- Well... Kazuto... What was your codename again? I shouldn't be calling you by your name anymore...

Haisha- Kazuto-senpai I was also supposed to call you Ken... Wasn't I?

Kazuto- Yeah... That's my codename now... "The one above all..." Has a nice ring to it... Please refer to me like that from now on... I don't want to use my original label anymore because----

*A kid comes running in front of the car*

Kaori- Stop the car!

Ken- Well... There is no point in doing that... Look at that youngster... Look at his eyes... He is scheming to strike our vehicle the instant we press the break... He wants to assess his ability... And what's a more acceptable way to do it than flip the foreign object belonging to a traitor?

Kaori- Stop it anyway!

Ken- Oh well... Don't accuse me later... *He presses the brake* *He opens a cabinet on top of the car and takes a gun out* *He opens the door and jumps out*

*The car stops just in front of the kid*

*The kid points his finger towards the car and the car flips*

*The car goes flying in the air*

*The kid starts jumping around in excitement*

*A dark hand emerges from the shadow of the car on the road and holds the car midair so that it doesn't get any scratches*

*The kid looks confused*

*Ken comes from behind the dark hand with the gun in hand, smiling creepily*

Ken- An interesting ability you've got there...

*The kid gets scared*

*Ken pulls the trigger and shoots at the kid's hand, the same hand he used to flip the car*

*The dark hand slowly puts the car down*

Ken- A level 6, huh? You're gonna have to pay more than you would've for that...

Haisha- Don't shoot the kid!

Ken- Well... Don't worry, I'm not gonna kill him... I'll just rough him up a bit...

Haisha- His mother is here!

*They both look towards a woman standing on one side of the road*

*Ken vanishes and appears behind the kid and turns him unconscious by karate chopping his nape*

*He takes the unconscious kid to his mother*

Ken- Keep him in line... You're quite fortunate that I didn't slay him... Let's face it... Out of all of us here, I am the one who is the least concerned about your child's future... If he does something like this again... I won't think as considerably as this time before slaying him...

*Ken goes back into the car and starts the car*

Ken- Well... I hope that lad won't do something like this again...

Kaori- How could you shoot him just like that?!

Ken- Well... What do you reckon would've happened if I had just allowed him to go without intimidating him even a bit?

Kaori- The kid would have an arm left?!

Ken- The kid would've killed others... What would you do then? Power being so unjust mostly goes in the hands of horrible people... Or maybe it is power that turns them horrible... That kid could've killed you guys if I wasn't there... He seemed too thrilled with his ability to not do so... He's a level 6... That is reason enough to disable him... Humans don't deserve this power... We are far too immature to handle it...

Kaori- Well... I can't talk against that statement...

Ken- That was much more than a statement...

Haisha- Oh... We're already at school!

Kaori- You didn't have to say that... We can clearly see where we are...

Ken- You know... I'm repenting of permitting you to tag along...

Haisha- Why?! What happened?!

Ken- Ugh... Let's just get to school... Let us mark this as the end of a thrilling ride...

Haisha- But I wanna know!!

Ken- Woah... Look there... Some random fellow is hitting on your crush...

*Points at a blonde girl who is getting hit on by a tall guy who is unmistakably stronger than Haisha* Well... Seems like she is in trouble...

Haisha- What can I do?

Ken- Help her... Fight him off!!

Haisha- But he is obviously stronger than me!!

Ken- Believe in yourself...

Haisha- Okay... I'm gonna go help her...

Ken- Yeah... Do so...

*Haisha walks up to that guy*

*Ken picks up his phone and starts recording*

Haisha- Umm... Hello... If you don't mind... Can you please let go of my friend there? Like... She doesn't seem interested in you... You're just making it uncomfortable for her...

That guy- You think you can talk to me like that?!

*The girl pushes Haisha down the stairs*

The girl- I don't want help from the likes of you! Traitor!

*The focus goes to Ken*

Kaori- You knew that was gonna happen... Didn't you?

Ken- Well... Actually... I did... How could I not let this happen? I'll be sure to use this to blackmail him...

*The focus goes to Haisha*

The guy- Wait... A traitor? You mean he is like Ken? Well... That makes it interesting...

*The guy comes down the stairs and picks him by his hair*

The guy- Well... He does always say that traitors are not to be looked down upon and all, and he'll give it his all to save a traitor if they're being judged dishonestly... So... Let's see if he comes before I kill you...

*Starts beating him*

[Focus on Ken]

Kaori- Isn't that too much just for disruption of plans?

Ken- That guy seems familiar... Wait a minute... I think I remember who he is... I shouldn't have done that...

[Focus on Haisha]

*Haisha's crush sneaks away amongst this chaos*

*Haisha's hand slowly goes towards the gun in his pocket*

*That guy takes out a rod which starts glowing*

That guy- Your hair is as big as a girl's... Maybe I'll start by cutting it...

Haisha- You better not...

*That guy tilts that saber up, getting ready to slash*

*Haisha takes out a gun from his pocket*

*A gunshot is heard and the saber falls from the guy's hand*

That guy- Who shot my saber?! *Looks around* Wait!! Where is that girl?!

*Ken comes walking*

Ken- Did you actually not expect my arrival for some reason? Hada... You think too submissively of me...

Hada- Well well... This is interesting *lets go of Haisha's hair* I didn't really think that you'd come but it seems like I'll finally get to prove that I'm better than you... And I'll gain my spot at the "Big Three"... There isn't a reason for a traitor to be one of them...
