Chapter 4 I'll Stay Awake Next Time!

Larissa flinched and didn't dare to say a word. When she lowered her head, she found that she was wearing a loose white shirt. Obviously, it was a man's.

Subconsciously, she thought of the intimate scenes again. That was a totally fresh and exceptionally impressive experience for her.

Vaguely, she remembered that. In the process, she had fainted out of fatigue or pain.

Her performance must be very awful last night!

Glen looked at her collarbones and was pleased to see the marks he had left last night. But the next second, he approached her, his hands putting on her shoulders with slight strength.

Eyelashes drooping, he asked in a frosty voice, "You're usually beaten at home?"

When he bathed her last night, he saw many new or old red scratches on her back. Evidently, she was often beaten.

Larissa was stunned for a few seconds and then nodded. "Yes! After my father died, my step-mother became the temporary president of the company. She even wanted me to marry a 50-year-old man, but I refused. She's beaten me many times because she wants to drive me out of the family. She is going to push me to the wall!"

She became excited and grasped Glen's shirt, with expectation on her face. "Uncle... No, Mr. Lake, please help me! I know you have shares of BM. I know you're a big figure. You can help me, right?"

That day, her step-mother said on the phone that Glen Lake was the third biggest shareholder of the company. With his support, she could then totally own the company.

Larissa detested that woman who had forced her natural mother to commit suicide and ruined her family. It had been merely three months after her father died, and this woman exposed her ambition, ganging up with other powers to take the company.

Larissa didn't know what she should do or what she could do. She was only 19 years old, too young and too weak to rival that evil woman! She needed help!

Glen rose and put his hands into the pockets of his pants. Narrowing his eyes, he asked in a playful tone, "How do you want me to help you?"

Larissa sat up straight and licked her dry lips. Then, she said in a soft but determined voice, "I'd appreciate it if you tell my step-mother... that I'm your woman and that BM is what my father left to me. After I graduate, I'll enter the company to fulfill my father's wish."

"Mr. Lake, my step-mother wants only money. If she gets BM, she'll sell it to others! My father's secretary said a board meeting would be held next month. Please don't agree to let my step-mother be the new president!"

Glen felt she was too noisy and pressed his lips tightly and silently.

Getting no response, Larissa became anxious!

She had given him her clean body, the most precious thing for a woman! Was he going back on his words now?

She threw back the quilt, walked up to him with bare feet, and raised her head. "Mr. Lake, why don't you say anything? Is it because of my awful performance last night? Are you angry because I fell asleep in the process? I... I really had no experience. I... I promise I'll stay awake next time!"
