Chapter 8 Punishing the nominal stepmother.

Corrine walked in with his son, Dennis. Six years ago she paid off all the dept before she left, but it wasn't long before Litia's daughter, Eve Bennett, returned.

Eve Bennett and Litia were both gamblers and ended up owing a lot of money to usury in less than a month. Corrine's father still lived here with Litia, they lived a life of poverty and worrying every day. There was no longer an another Corrine helping Litia pay off the money.

Broken gate. Corrine made a false smile and reached out her hands to knock.

Behind her, The expression on Dennis's face was light, and his mommy seemed to be a little resistant to this place.

"Who is it?" The one who opened the door was Zynn, Corrine's father.

Corrine looked at his father's white hair, the corners of his eyes were wrinkled, her nose was sour and she said, "Dad."

After hearing this, Zynn nervously raised his head, he couldn't say anything for a moment, then his eyes instantly turned red, he shouted with tears in his eyes, "Corrine."

"Are you...Corrine? Corrine, why do you come back home so late?" A sharp voice came from behind.

Corrine turned around to look over and saw Litia running out of the small courtyard, six years had past, she was less beautiful than in the past, the whole person was dried up and very ugly.

Zynn looked at Litia with an angry look on his face, he said, " Back to the room, Corrine just stopped by to see me and will leave soon."

Litia's face was even more frantic and she looked at Corrine in anger and said, "Corrine, your father and I still owe a lot of money. I have had enough of this shit life. Your father is an incompetent man and doesn't even have such money, so hurry up and pay it off for us!"

"That's enough!" Zynn snapped and coughed in exasperation.

Corrine smiled slightly and coldly, Litia was still despicable and how could she be so shameless.

Fury flashed in Dennis's eyes, mixing with the killing intent.

"Corrine, I'm your mother, so you should just give me the money. You could pay off the usury in the past, then you can also make it!" Litia said, with no shame on her face.

Corrine smiled calmly and said, ''I only have one mother. You are a piece of shit, and I won't give money to you even if I have."

Litia's face was full of fierceness and began to play rascal and howled, "You ungrateful daughter, I am still your mother in law! I don't care, you have to give me the money."

Zynn's face was full of anger and helplessness, and Corrine was right, she couldn't even compared to Miya.

Corrine was impatient and couldn't stand it, she tightly grabbed Litia's neck collar and said, "If you continue to be nuisance and pissing me off, I'll sell Eve to the black market, if you don't believe me, you can have a try!"

Litia stopped her cry, and Corrine's words made she feel scared.

Dennis mocked and he thought in his mind, this woman was so stupid, she really thought his mommy was easy to bully? Anyone with a bit of IQ knew that his mommy was not a loser.

A good man would be easily bullied, a good horse couldn't avoid to be ridden.

Litia didn't dare to speak, she knew that Corrine had a terrifying master behind her.

Corrine waved away Litia, she had enough of this person, she turned her head to look at his father and said, "Dad, if you have nothing to do, let's go shopping. Do you have any places you'd like to travel? I'll stay at T city for a while."

Zynn sighed deeply and answered, "No. Did you get settled outside after coming back?"

"Yes, don't worry about me." Corrine found that Litia was carefully eavesdropping and a feeling of disgust came to her.

After half an hour, in the T city's largest amusement park, the chairs sat three cold people, an adult and two kids, they had so excellent appearance that the passers-by couldn't help looking at them when they passed.

Carolyn looked at Rebecca and Clarence, the two little kids didn't immediately look for their mommy after waking up, but both were curious about where mommy would take her brother to.

Clarence looked at the passers-by with a blank face. Rebecca's face was full of coldness, expressing her refusal to anyone.

Carolyn shook her head helplessly, the two little kids were very angry, they were complaining about the fact that their mommy didn't take them with her but took Dennis. So Carolyn could only come out with these two little kids. She sighed in her heart and asked, "Rebecca, Clarence, what do you want to eat? There wasn't much to eat just now."

Rebecca and Clarence said almost at the same time, after saying that, both Carolyn and Rebecca turned their heads to look at Clarence, only to see Clarence's cute and serious expression, "Surrogate mother, is it not allowed?"

Carolyn fell into silence, and was momentarily embarrassed, she didn't know what to say. The phone vibrated, she was relieved, and immediately picked up the phone and said, "Hello, yes, yes! Come on, you guys!" After saying that, she cheerfully hung up the phone, both Rebecca and Clarence turned their heads to look at Carolyn.

Carolyn sighed with relief in his heart, she said, "Your mommy will come over soon, I'll buy you something to eat first, you can't leave here."

Rebecca and Clarence looked at each other and at the same time they looked at the sky, Clarence was worried, he said, ''Could you tell me why mommy didn't take us to see grandpa? Were they plotting something? Rebecca, you are smarter than me, do you know what is Dennis thinking about?"

Rebecca turned her head and glanced at Clarence, she said, "I don't know, Dennis has known best since he was little, they will be here in a while, you can ask them in detail by then!"

Clarence nodded, what she said was reasonable.

A soft voice rang out behind them, filled with amazement, "Donald, they're so cute, they looked much like you in your childhood!"
