Chapter 4 Lachlan

'Holy Cow is all I could think when I saw her depending the stairs. I could not believe she agreed to go on the date with me let alone just as friends, she thinks.' Is all I could think.

"You look amazing Bethanie just amazing. Are you ready to go?" I asked trying to stifle my excitement .

She responded politely but I know she did not want to hold hands or be touched tonight as she kept reminding me that this date was just friends. I get that but she does not get it yet she will not be leaving this world behind after tonight. If she does she will be craving me and the bond that we have. I have to find a way to touch her and show her somehow.

We get to the restaurant, I hand the keys to the valet keeper and open the door for her. Tommy knew not to open the door that I would do it as I linked him as I pulled up. I gave her my hand to help her out of the car and she put her hand in mine and helped her out of the car.

I did not let her hand go till we got inside Mathe's restaurant. Beth had not idea that this was just one of many he owns. He was working earlier and set the menu for us and made sure that his staff had it down and what time we would arrive and what to serve and order it all was to be served from the wine down to desert. Cass made the desert for us it and put her twist on our favorite desserts together.

I placed my hand behind her back guiding her to our table set close the fire place. I pulled out the chair and guided her to sit and pushed it in for her then sat across from her. At first it was silent but comfortable then we started asking each other questions and the conversation continued from there.

After dinner was over I paid the bill and we left. I again helped her in the car and I took her to our night club set just outside parklands. Tonight it was packed and louder than normal. We rarely came here but as brothers we all owned this bar/night club and it mainly for all shifters around us.

Every once in a while we would get humans in here but not many knew about it and that is the way we liked it. Most of our pack was here tonight, well the adults who could come the elders stayed home and baby sat all the kids. Sometimes we all just needed to cut loose with other packs around off the pack lands. We did not allow rogues in that meant harm to us or others nor any spies that we could sniff out.

There was one lad in the back corner in a booth with way to many women all around him, they were all human. This meant trouble I could sense it so could my dragon and my brothers. I saw Beth stiffen she looked towards the booth ans she had a look on her face that said it all. She knew him and was pissed. This was good for me, I knew then she was not going to leave me but was hyper aware that she could use me to get back at him.

"Dee did you see who is here over there in the corner with all those whores?" Bethanie asks.

"I seen a guy but did not see exactly who it is, why? Who is it?"

"It's Chad, how the hell does he know I am here? I mean exactly at this very spot? And why the fucking hell did he follow me?" She is talking very loudly as the music is very loud in here tonight.

"Beth is there a problem? We can take care of it for you if need be, do not hesitate to tell me or my brothers." I tell her in her ear as inhale her scent of lavender.

"My boyfriend is here but I never told him what city I was coming to, Only that I was coming to see Dee and her family here in Scotland. I don't know what, how or even why he is here. I know he is very controlling or at least tries to control me as much as possible." She tells me back in my ear and I can tell she takes a deep breath inhaling my scent which calmed her down.

I had one of our security go over and have him remove the said subject from the club as we did not need that kind of display here on our territory even though it is set on neutral territory for all to come and have a good time with other packs. We did not allow this kind of behavior from anyone shifter or human. This is not a brothal and needs to be left for a hotel or in the comforts your home.

"Thanks for getting him out of here, I do not want to see him. I am on a vacation to enjoy myself for a while and not have to worry about that jerk. Now that just proves he is not honest and he cheats and lies. I am done with his ass." She tells me. SCORE! Says my dragon, as he is dancing in my head.

She pulls out her out her phone and texts him tells him that she does not want to see him ever again and broke it off right then and there. Bethanie is so pissed that she cannot see straight. She does not understand how the hell how he knew she was there and would be there at that exact place at that exact time.

"Dee I texted Chad to tell him it is over and I do not want to ever see him again."

"Did he respond back?"


"Yes, he did. He said he does not care and that we will keep seeing each other regardless of what I want. He's got no right to tell me what I can and cannot do."

"Do you feel unsafe?"

"No, not with you and Conall I don't. I just don't understand why and how he new exactly where I am. What if he knows where I am staying?"

"Conall and the guys will take care of it. Follow me, come on."

Bethanie follows Dee up the stairs to an office where Conall and Lachlan are at over looking the club. They are looking for any shifters that are being unruly or humans for that matter, including possible hunters.

"Guys we have a problem here. Ok, Bethanie this is what you are going to do. Give Conall your phone number and give your phone to Lachlan. Conall get her phone number looked at by Champ including Chad's number to see how he new she was here. Lachlan, get into her phone and see if there is something in there where he traced her here to us. I know that he can ping her via GPS but there has to be something else that is much stronger to track her."

"Does he pose a threat to you Bethanie?" Conall is asking as he is texting the information to Champ.

"Not that I can think of until now. Can your friend pull all the text messages up from our phones?"

"Yes, he can and then some. What I mean by this he can look to see who else he has been texting, where they are located and everything else that you can think of. He is our personal detective between packs." Conall smirks.

"He's a computer GOD when it comes time for things like this Beth so don't worry you are with people who will protect you with their lives. You are safe no matter where you go. And while you are here I will be your personal body guard." Lachlan is very giddy with his self appointed assignment.
