Chapter 4 The Lake Hounds Pack

"He is at The Lake Hounds Pack. Bryce is my alpha and has several guards on him until we get there. He knows we are coming this afternoon." Champ tells the brothers. Mathe mind links the brothers that he has not talked to Cassie about being dragons or werewolf and they need to keep a hushed.

"What do you mean by pack?" Cassie asks. She over heard them talking when she came down the stairs after cleaning up and getting ready for the day. Mathe just looked at her and with a gapping mouth 'damn she looks good in anything, no not good sexy. Yeah that's it sexy' he says to himself. He forgot that the others could hear him and they all chuckled at him. But they agreed with him she's hot and will make one hot dragon.

"Love we are going to a place where you will be safe and you will be with me. I will have to leave you for a bit but there are other women there that you can talk to. They know we are coming so don't worry about being by yourself. Oh Padraig has a daughter about your age and is in Graphic Design and loves to cook. Maybe you two could take over the kitchen and make some awesome food?" He tells her with somewhat of a question.

"Okay, but I am not good going someplace where I really do not know people." She looks at the boys.

"You'll do just fine trust me. You are an amazing and beautiful person inside and out. Since you know some vegetarian dishes maybe you could make those for the people in the pack who could stop eating so much meat." Mathe tells her with a big grin knowing all too well that is a bold lie.

"Finish eating so we can leave and get there before grid lock happens." Champ says. Once they are done and dishes are put in the dishwasher they leave in one car. Two hours later they arrive Lake Hounds Pack and Padraig and Carra his mate and their Beta Jayce comes out to great all of them.

"It's good to meet all of you and welcome to our pack. Mathe I know you, Evander and Lachlan will want to talk to your person of interest. Champ here will take you where he is being held at. You must be Cassie, Mathe's mate?" Padraig asks.

"Yes, nice to meet all of you and thank you for your hospitality while we are here." She kindly states. Mathe was very impressed and so where his brothers.


"Carra will take you in the house and introduce you to our daughter which I believe she is close to your age?" He states with a question.

They walk inside and she is introduced to Lacey who is 35 years old and will be 36 in the fall. They both share the same birthday and they both are humans. Lacey has strawberry blonde hair that goes down to the middle of her back. She knows that Cassie is a human and knows nothing of their world just yet and should be kept in the dark about it for now.

The two girls hit it off and decided to share some recipes and started to cook for the pack. Cassie made several cakes and cupcakes for deserts and made homage pasta noodles and sauce. She made four pans of spinach lasagna and Lacey made six pans of meat lasagna.

The guys came back and did not expect the girls to be in the kitchen talking and laughing. So they took the back stairs to up to the bedrooms so they could shower and change from the torture they instilled on Harry. They were gone for over three hours asking Harry questions but decided to give it a rest till tomorrow and then they would go back and attempt again for the last time.

Harry was not going to give up intel why he broke into the penthouse and then into Mathe's bedroom of all places when there are several other places to go into. He was not even going to give up who Huey and Duey are or their Boss is. He knows something but they are not going to get any information from him, not today at least.

The tables are set for dinner and the pack comes in for dinner. Cassie could not believe how much every person ate. They were going back for seconds and thirds for the food and they even still had enough room for desert. They even went back for thirds for that as well. Cassie made four big bowls of her grandmas version of Pasta House Salad and there's nothing left of that. Her eyes were at awe for how much food they all ate.


"They cleaned everything up, I have to take a picture of all this nobody at home would ever believe this if I told them." She said out loud.

They all just laughed at her. One of the wolves asked her if her family ever eats like this. She just looked at the young male wolf and said." Nope none of them do. In fact I am trying to turn them all into vegans." And she laughs.

She sends pics to Dee with all the food and the how much each one was taking. She could not believe it herself. Damhan was laughing at her in her amazement of how much food they all eat. Damhan and the others kept their mouths shut as she did not know about their kind just yet and maybe never will.

Damhan was linking me and I had to video chat with her as I wanted to see what she had made. Cassie was in awe at how much food there was and how it was all gone and not a crumb left. Dee was laughing and told wait till she starts hearing voices in her head and ended the call fast so that she could not answer any questions.

"It's getting late why don't you all stay the night and you can finish up tomorrow with your person of interest." Ba told Mathe, Cassie and his two brothers.

They took Bryce up on his hospitality and had an Omega show them their rooms. Evander and Lachlan shared a room while Mathe and Cassie had to share a room. Padraig and Carra did not know that they were not actually readily sharing a room just yet as they were taking things a little slow. 

Mathe and Cassie entered their room and got ready for bed. She was nervous for being in there with him but after being almost attacked the night before and was fine being with him. "You take the bed and I will sleep on the couch." Mathe told her.

"Thank you but you will be uncomfortable sleeping there. It is not long enough for you to sleep on nor big enough for you to move around like a bed. I do not mind you sleeping with me, in fact I actually liked it when I woke up in your arms this morning." Cassie said coley.

Mathe got in bed with her and he pulled her up to him wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him. He kissed the top of her head and back of her neck and should her and spoke to her in his native tongue. "Tha mo ghion ort gu sìorraidh bràth a d mo chridhe." Mathe tells her.

"What does that mean and what language?" Cassie asks him with a whisper.

"It's Scottish/Gaelic meaning I love you always forever my sweetest darling." He whispers back in her ear. And gives her a kiss good night telling her to sleep now for tomorrow will be along day.

"The dinner you and Lacey cooked tonight was out of this world. The best part was the spinach lasagna. That is now my favorite dish, please make it again."



"Thank you my love, my mate." Cassie reciprocated back and fell asleep in loving arms.
