Chapter 4 The Independent Life

Ghweneʼs Point of View

There is a bench here in the palace garden and here I am sitting. I told Rianna that I need to be alone first to be able to think of what's the matter but I still canʼt think straight. Even though it is quiet in this place and the fresh air blew up, there are still many things that bother me.

I know I wonʼt be here long either, but what if one day... Yuan will track me down. Otherwise, the king may find out... and he must kill me. I got up and Prince Zeijan might even see me. But speaking of, I saw him standing by my side.

I immediately remembered who was in front of me, I was ready to bow down when he touched my shoulder. "Donʼt do that," he said, I looked at him again in surprise. "Youʼre a prince and you deserve it all-"

"No. As I said before... I would rather be an ordinary person," he said.

I laughed so he looked at me. "Youʼre weird. Arenʼt you human?" I asked him. That was one of my questions. "Well, if thatʼs one of your mind-questions... we may be human but weʼre different from you," he replied but I shook my head. "I don't understand,"

"I am not forcing you to understand everything about this place and about what kind of people we are. Itʼs better that you donʼt know... when you come to your place, you are safe."

"There is no safe in the world now, Prince Zeijan. All of your life will taking the risks, you can never really avoid that." I told him and he obviously looked at me and smiled slightly. "You are smart, young lady. I mean... Ghwene." I look at him and I saw him amazed.

"You exceeded my expectations of you. Youʼre so much... beautiful," I averted my eyes from him. Iʼm not comfortable. "You are a strong independent young lady." I was shaken.

"Independent, tss." Then I chuckled. "Is the person called independent... just like I grew up with a gold spoon in my mouth?" he nodded.

"Youʼre right. I grew up without knowing my mother and only my Dad and my brother were with me. My brother and I are well-trained, but I am the only one person that there's no to be improved... Iʼm weak. When I was thirteen, I got used to being alone here in the palace. I want to go outside here and go everywhere but my father wonʼt let me."

Rianna is right. Prince Zeijan and I are not far apart. There are many differences in our personalities, but in the state of life... they are the same. "This is the right time now, Prince Zeijan. Get off the pedestal youʼre on like I did. You have a reason to do that," I said as I faced him.

He didnʼt say a word and just stared at the plants. I just sighed and left in front of him. Iʼll let him think first.

Zeijanʼs Point of View

I was just stunned by what she said. If I have a reason to do that... thatʼs not a deep reason. I looked at her as she walked away from me. That woman was one of the most kind person that I feel so comfortable. I really thought... sheʼs nothing but everything she said also had a value.

I don't know what I thought why here I brought her to the palace and rescued her but one more thing that I didnʼt feel like this before. There seems to be something wrong. I can't understand why with that woman I feel these strange feelings, but it is not possible.

There is no guarantee that she will be safe here. The king will kill her. I donʼt want her to be involved in this situation so as much as possible... she can go back to where she came from.

But how? If someone is also running away from her?

Seven o'clock in the evening, I caught up with Rianna inside Ghwene's room. "Prince," Rianna greeted. "Sheʼs asleep?" She nodded and I looked at the sleeping woman again. Sheʼs really beautiful. "I think, Prince Zeijan... sheʼs not afraid of what might happen." Rianna said.

"She canʼt stay here because this palace has a policy... that no one other than Tian Kingdom can enter,"

"I know," I said briefly.

"I knew I was breaking the rules. But she needs our help. I canʼt deny that," I didn't expect this to happen, that I would meet a mortal person like Ghwene.

This is the first time I've gotten this close to a person in the mortal world, but I'm willing to help at any time. Rianna came out and I was left here in the room where she was sleeping soundless. I went over and sat in the corner of the bed, I watched her then I put the blanket on her.

In fact, I shouldn't have to worry if the king kills her. But when Xienna explained that to her, I was worried because there was nothing I could do to protect her. What is the reason? I parted her hair then I stood up. "Goodnight, Ghwene." Then I left that room.

I waited for the morning to come.

Early in the morning I woke up. Iʼm used to this time I wake up because sometimes I go out of the palace. I go to my favorite place-the high rocky mountains. Where the sunset and the sunrise can be seen. I returned to the palace at when the sunrise came. "Prince Zeijan," Rianna greeted.

"Is she awake?" I asked and she smiled.

"Now Iʼm just going to her room to give her breakfast," I nodded.

"Oh, after that, prepare what I have prepared for her clothes and come down here. I will wait for her in the lobby," I ordered then she bow down, "Of course, Prince Zeijan."

"I said donʼt do that again, Rianna. I told that to Ghwene too," I said.

"Iʼm sorry for that. Next time, Prince Zeijan." she said.

I just nodded and went to my room to take a shower and change my clothes. I would have planned to take her around the outside of the palace that she wouldnʼt get bored here. I know itʼs dangerous but I'll take care of her.

I will not leave her.

Yuanʼs Point of View

I walk to the dinning of our mansion. Dad and I were in private armies. "Yuan," I caught up with him there. "Dad, I have to go." Let me know, "You continue to find her? Why wouldn't you go to the palace and get her now."

"That's what Iʼm going to do, Dad. I will go to Tian Kingdom and I will take her back here," I said.

It's strong as far as I'm concerned that's where she is hiding from Zeijanʼs place. Now, it is my turn to let him know that the girl he have is my girl that's already mine.

"Donʼt be too harsh, Yuan. In case you still canʼt get her now... there are many more chances. You should think of your reputation as the heir of the throne and crown, your image should not be tarnished in all areas of the entire Tian Kingdom," he said.

I was thinking strongly. He might be right. I shouldn't be too harsh but I can't control myself. "Yes Dad," I said and left the mansion immediately. I got in the car and saw my phone there, Scarlette also had some missed calls. Why is this woman so naughty and annoying? Ever since Ghwene ran away, she has been calling me to ask me go out. I wonder if Scarlette had anything to do with Ghwene's escape.

I know and I have known for a long time that Scarlette likes me, but I have no other woman I want but Ghwene. Only Ghwene is my rose. "Prince Yuan, where did we go now?" I looked at the driverʼs seat and I leaned my head hear in the back seat. "We're going to the palace, right now."
