Chapter 10 Harry's POV

Harry Moon's Point of View

"Sir. Ms. Rodriguez seems to be in her office," Luke said.

"Okay, tell her to come to my office at noon." I was still speaking when something caught my eye on the screen of my CCTV monitor. It showed me, Ashley, talking to herself while turning the swivel chair around.

"Sir, do you have anything else to say?" My secretary called my attention.

"I'm just going to see Ms. Rodriguez. Just continue what you're doing." He scratched his head and said goodbye. I looked back at the monitor again, I saw her with her swivel chair turned away, I could no longer see what she was doing.

I should go there and see for myself. I also wanted to know what she was talking about and why she seemed bothered. But I think I have an idea why Ashley was acting strange.

I hurried out of my office. And headed over to Ashley's office.

"You are an idiot, Ashtrella!!!" This is what I heard after entering her office. I couldn't help but be amused with her. She's crazy. I even saw her tweaking the hair on the top of her head as she stomped her feet. I entered silently so that she would not notice. I wanted to laugh, but I had to resist. Maybe she was thinking about our kiss... And now, she was embarrassed.

'Oh Baby! You don't have to be embarrassed.' I smirked at that thought. I heard the door open again, so I turned around, and it was Abby. I folded my arms and looked serious. I put an index finger on my lips to signal Abby to keep quiet. She just nodded and zipped her mouth.

"What are you doing?!" I asked in a stern voice. I wanted to laugh, but I had to resist. My jaw dropped as she slowly turned her chair into us. Her hair was messy, and her face turned red. I heard Abby chuckle, causing Ashley to look behind me, and she suddenly slipped from her chair and murmured something.

"What the hell are you doing?" My brows knitted while looking at her. She awkwardly smiled ... "He-he" She turned around again. She fixed herself and greeted me. Abby told her about her meeting, but I canceled it.

I will invite her to lunch to discuss something important. It'll be about that time when we went to the bar together with our colleagues. I found out that my mother hired an investigator to spy on me, and she saw us. Ashley and I were kissing in the parking lot. This event made my mom so happy, only because it was Ashtrella whom I kissed. She wanted to meet her again.

My mom, remembered her as I did and adores her so much because of her humor. Aside from being an intelligent woman, Ashley is also kind and very thoughtful. She's a jolly person, even though a lot of our classmates bullied her because of her physical appearance, but it was a part of puberty. She has changed a lot, physically. But now, she is way more beautiful inside and out.

I admired her because of her intelligence, perseverance, humbleness, and being kind to everyone. That is also the reason that some of our classmates, especially the women, envied her. She's the youngest among our batch. But she has never even bragged about what she had, and that's what I liked about her.

And for the three days out of town? It is a business trip. I will take her to Paris for a fashion show I was invited to because of our magazine. They wanted us to feature their show in our magazine. And Ashley, as my Editor-in-Chief she needs to be there to see it.

"Sir, your Mom is here. She is looking for you." My secretary said.

"Let her in."

"Son!" It's my Mom's high-pitched voice that had me rolling my eyes.

"Why is it so hard to make time with you? Do I need to go through Luke every time I need you?" I approached her and kissed her on the cheek. Her voice was mixed with sullen irritation.

"I'm sorry about that, mom. I told him to inform me first, as you can see, I'm a bit busy." I pointed to the papers piled on my table. She sighed.

"Where is Ashtrella's office by the way?" She asked.

"On the 39th," I lazily answer.

"Will she remember me? We haven't seen each other in a long time. Is she still the same Ashley we knew, son?" I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Why don't you ask her yourself instead? So, you'll know if she still remembers you. And Mom, she's changed. A lot ... physically. But I think she's still the same person we know." I saw Mom's eyes twinkle. I shook my head.

"But Mom, let me remind you of something. I didn't tell her that I knew her. I'm still her boss. It should be kept that way here in my company." Mom's face showed that she was sad.

"What's that face, mom?" I asked worriedly. I think I already know ... I sighed.

"Does that mean she doesn't remember you? So there's a possibility that she won't recognize me?" I just shrugged.

"Why don't you try?" I said so she wouldn't be sad anymore. Her face lit up. And said okay. Then she left me. I sighed again.

To my surprise, the door suddenly opened. "See you later at lunch, son!" I nodded. I just smiled at Mom's behavior. Well, that's her. And I love her.
