Chapter 4 The stage killer

"Bro,i need a car and two VIP tickets.." Skylar said to Dylan,who was busy looking up things on his laptop. "Car? What about your car?" He asked. "Well...I ... I..." She stuttered. "You wrecked it!" Dylan completed it. "Yeah...something like that" She said, not wanting to look into his eyes. "I'm not giving you any of my vehicles,won't let you wreck it." He said. "Then how should I move around?" Skylar asked with a faked pained tone. "Make use of taxis..they are always at your service." Dylan said to her.

"Stone hearted jerk.." She murmured and Dylan smirked. "Then what about the tickets.." Finding her frustrating, he dropped his laptop and faced her, "Why can't you get the tickets yourself?" "Mum froze my account after she found about about the damaged car..." She said.

"I expect her to do that, you got that car in just three weeks and you wrecked it. It's like the sixth car you've damaged this year alone ,talk about past years. You are not old enough to use a car, so make use of taxis." "Ughh...I need the tickets!" She shouted. "Wait, tickets? Why do you need tickets and not ticket?" He asked. "Well..." She started with a face and tone of pride, "I invited a friend of mine.." She said. Dylan burst into a sarcastic laughter "Friend? The ones who dumped you or who?"

"Stop bringing up those bitches', she is a new friend of mine, she's not from here though...But Dylan,you need to see her, like seriously, she has this pair of eyes that are usually uncommon." She said.

"Uncommon? I'm sure she looks like a warthog..." Dylan said. Skylar frowned and he ignored her.

"Common baby...when will all these end?" He asked her. "Well, I haven't gotten what I want,yet to penetrate deep into him,but trust me, I will soon be true." She replied. "Are you he won't be a problem?" He asked again. "Not at all, his parents supports me" She said and smirked.

"Hmm...all good job of mine, the video really helped out." He said. "Yeah..it worked well.." she said and kissed him on the lips. He broke the kiss and stated at her seriously. "What?" She asked curiously. "I need money, 500 dollars..." He said. "Is that why you broke the kiss? I'll get it for you okay? so let's get to it, I missed you so much." She said alluringly.

"Who else noticed Dr Jose's attitude in the past few days?" Anthony asked.

"Wow! I thought I was the only the only who noticed this! He has been harsh and cold to everyone.." Andrew replied.

"Well, he has been like that since Senior Anna went on a leave.." Anthony said again. "I really miss her..." Maya said wearily. She had a hard time staying without Gia at work.

Suddenly a call came in on Maya's phone and the screen displayed 'Gianna'.

Maya shouted "Guys she's calling! Gia is calling.." They all rushed to her space and stood behind her. It was a video call.

"Hey sister.." Gianna greeted. "Oh, Anthony and Andrew you're there, hi."

"Oh my God Gia,I miss you badly..." Maya and faked a cry. "Come on senior, it doesn't fit you." Anthony said to Maya mockingly. Maya frowned her face and Anthony quickly apologized.

"We really miss you senior." Andrew who was focused on the screen displaying Gianna's face said.

"I miss you guys too.." Gia replied. "How's the crazy dog?" She asked.

"Yeah, he's been cool and harsh ever since you left.." Maya said. "Really? why?"

"Who knows?" "By the way, the end of year grand award giving ceremony will take place by the end of this month." Maya said.

Gianna sighed and said in a gloomy manner "I won't be there..."

"Stuck there right?" Maya asked and Gia nodded.

"Senior, what about you talk to Dr Jose maybe he can persuade the chairman to postpone the ceremony.." Andrew said.

Gianna shook her head "No, you guys can go ahead with the ceremony. It's not like I'm getting an award so - ".

"Gia!" Maya shouted which made the others startled. "Why will you belittle yourself in this manner? Look, everyone in the department knows you are the best student so if you are not given the award, Dr Jose definitely resents you then. We'll speak to Dr Jose about it."

"You don't need to-" Gianna said but was cut off by the startling sound she heard. Dr Jose flung the door open and barged in. "So I heard that lazy drone is on a call with you guys.." He said and when he saw that they gathered over a phone,he collected the phone and saw Gianna's face displayed by the screen.

"You lazy thing, I thought I told you to get here the other day!"

"Hi master." Gianna said with an awkward smile. "Ugh..I need to go now." She said and disconnected the call without giving space to reply.

"Did she just hang up the call? This is really driving me crazy.." Dr Jose said angrily and marched out of the office with Maya's phone with him.

"Senior, your phone.." Andrew said to Maya and the latter ran after the crazy dog.

"Granny, I gotta go!" Gianna yelled as she rushed out of the house. When she got outside, a black Lexus car was waiting outside. The driver rolled down the window and popped her head out of the car and said "Get in sugar." It was Skylar.

On their way they chatted happily and Skylar couldn't just help but been over talkative that evening. She seemed extremely cheerful and delighted. They finally arrived at the concert hall. It was really crowded and noisy outside. Skylar dragged Gianna along with her to the VIP entry line. She succeeded in getting the tickets from Dylan after she pestered him like crazy.

Soon,they were allowed in and led to a row that was very close to the concert stage. After Gianna and Skylar took a seat,Gianna looked around the very wide hall and was amazed by the very big size, the fixed seats, the concert which looked magnificent with PAR lights,Led stage lights, strip lights and others.

People kept trooping in every single minute after been checked in by the securities at the doorways of the hall.

Gianna was really stunned, so this is what a concert hall looks like. She had never attended a concert before but she gets to, all thanks to Skylar. This really wasn't her thing but she looked forward to the person who was going to perform on that great stage.

Skylar noticed that Gianna was looking around with a stunned expression and asked "Never been to a concert before?" Gianna shook her head and Skylar wrapped her arm around her (Gia) neck and whispered into her ear "Don't worry, you'll get to come to these concerts almost every 3 months without paying a dime." Gianna thought Skylar was going to keep paying for her tickets and thought of her as been kind. Only Skylar knew what she( Skylar) meant by her words.

Soon, the concert started and Dylan showed up stage with some dancers.

As soon as he walked up to the stage, the crowd screamed and yelled out his name, they were really overwhelmed. Gianna really felt somehow 'cause she wasn't used to stuffs like this and..she hated noise.

It took some minutes before the noise died down. Dylan then said into the colour coded microphone in his hand "Hello TenderHearts!" His voice was so profound. "Hi!!!!" The Crowd chorused. "Are we good to go?" He asked and the crowd screamed "Yeeeeeeess!!"

The crowd settled down as the performance was about to start. The dancers positioned themselves and a loud beating melody started playing. The lights moved around and finally stationed on Dylan - the singer.

Gianna listened attentively to the song and her mind unknowingly flowed with the song. Fans were waving their light bombs,paper printed pictures of Dylan, small banners and other merchandise.

People flowed with the music and sang along with him. It was a pop music. People were really engulfed as Dylan showed off dancing techniques.

As he executed the live show,he caught a glimpse of a young lady among the crowd and his heart skipped a beat. He almost lost focus on the performance but he was fast rectify himself.

He was tempted to look at her again but he restrained himself from doing so.

About 4 minutes 25 seconds after, the live show ended with a staggering finishing. The crowd cheered and shouted again when Dylan gave a farewell remark and winked at them.

"Hey brother..." Skylar said as she entered Dylan's dressing room which was situated at the backstage.

"Hey!.." Dylan replied. "The performance was great!" She said to him. "Thanks..." Dylan drawled and gulped down a bottle of water. "My friend said it, she found the performance amazing."

"Oh really? Where is she?" He asked and looked around. "Or she dumped you?"

"Ughh..why do your words have to be this harsh" She said and slapped his head. "What was that? You want me to call the securities on you?"

"You can..do it and you'll never get this back from me." She said as she brought out a car key from her pocket and showed it in his face.

Dylan was stunned "Why are you with that? You took my car?" "Save your energy.. goodbye!" She said and ran off.

"I think I saw senior Anna just now." Anthony said. "Me too..." Andrew replied.

"You too must be feeling worn out..go home!" Maya nagged.

"Hey! That's her!" Anthony screamed as he pointed to an uncertain place in the Television. "You must be feeling unwell,I said go home! Why will Gianna be in a concert, she doesn't even follow celebrities, it's not her thing so cut it off!" Maya said.

"Am I really unwell?" Anthony asked Andrew. "I think you are, come on, let's go, I'll walk you home" Andrew replied.

"Forget it! Go get a girlfriend that you'll walk home!" Anthony yelled and marched out of the office.
