Chapter 9 Frustration Brought him to the Jail

Ryan was walking out of the main door of the mansion when he bumped into Damien.

"Hey, buddy, where are you going?"

"Outside, if you want to come, then let's go."

Ryan said, and Damien followed him. They sat in the Bentley and drove away from the mansion.

"What happened? Your mood seems to be off." Damien exclaimed, observing the lines on his forehead.

"Nothing,"

"Then why are you frowning?"

"I'm just fed up. I don't know what I should do. I marry her to save our fame and reputation in front of the world? What would they gossip if they found that my bride, my childhood lover they wanted to see, had run away with someone else." Ryan frowned.

"Take it, easy, bro. It's not your fault. Amaya doesn't deserve you. Ariana is the best choice for you, and now you have her, so what's the problem."

"You are asking me what the problem is? Are you crazy?" Ryan glared at him.

"Alright, I know you loved Amaya, but bro, you have to understand that girl was not for you. You know, besides you and dad, no one likes her with you, so it's good." Damien shrugged his shoulders.

"Stop taking her name again and again. It's just increased the fury and fire of rage burning in me. I won't leave her alone. I'm going to Paris tomorrow night."

"Are you serious? Buddy leaves her alone. Let her live her life, and you have Ariana, so leave her."

"No, I won't leave her. I'm going to hunt her down. How can she run away easily after betraying my love and heart? No, she can't."

"Alright, but what about Ariana?"

"Shush, will you please stop irritating me with her name? I just don't want to hear her name." Ryan turned to him and put his finger on his lips to silence him.

But his car collided with something. He instantly applied the brakes and got off to see what happened. Damien followed him.

Ryan saw a man getting out of his car.

"Sorry, I didn't," The man slapped Ryan's face without listening to him.

Ryan started to hit him. He beat his ass off. Damien tried to stop him, but Ryan battered him badly. He was frustrated, so he took out all his frustrations on him.

The cops came and took both of them to the police station.

The person who got beaten filed a complaint against Ryan. Damien tried to talk to that person and offered him money to take his complaint back, but he said.

"What do you people think? You can buy anything with the money and beat anyone. No, you can't. I won't take my complaint back, and I'll try my best to put you behind the lockers." Ryan clenched his fist and punched the wall.

"Damien, call Dante and order him to bail me out."

Damien nodded and instantly called Dante and explained the whole situation, but Dante said that the court was on-off today and he could get bail only tomorrow after 9 am.

Damien ended the call and whispered to Ryan. He balled his fist and clenched his jaw.

"Call the police officer."

The officer came, and Ryan exclaimed.

"What happened? Don't you know me, or don't you fear me?"

"Sorry, Sir, I know you and fear you as well, but that man is not agreeing to take his complaint back."

Ryan chewed his inner cheek and nodded his head. He moved towards the lock-up.

"Sir, you don't need to go there. Then just sit with us till tomorrow, when your lawyer will bail you out." The police officer shivered in fear of the appearance and devilish aura of Ryan.

"Do your duty, officer."

The officer approached him and asked for a drink or coffee, but Ryan's glare forced him to back off. He ran to save his life, and Damien came to him.

"Sorry, bro, for the inconvenience. Just wait for a while. I do something."

"Damien, Go home and have a rest."

"But,"

"I said go home, and I don't want to repeat it."

Damien knew him very well, so he nodded and turned to go out when Ryan's voice came.

"Don't tell mom and dad about this matter." Damien nodded and went out.

Soon he reached home and found the kitchen lights opened.

Damien moved to the kitchen and saw Ariana there.

"Aria, what are you doing?"

"The water in my room has finished, so came to take it."

Damien nodded and moved to go when Ariana exclaimed, observing his anxiety and worries.

"Something happened?"

Damien nodded, but then shook his head.

"No, nothing happened. Ryan will come home tomorrow. Don't worry, he is fine." Damien spoke in a single breath.

"I didn't ask about him, so now tell me what happened to him? Is he alright?" Ariana's voice filled with concern. The sadness and heaviness she felt because of Ryan were nowhere to see.

Damien looked down but spoke nothing.

"You told me yourself that we're friends. So tell me. You know, friends are our confide."

"I know, Aria, and I'm not hiding anything from you. I just don't want you to get worried." Saying this, he explained all the incidents that happened to them and that now Ryan was in the lock-up.

Ariana sighed.

"Don't worry. I'm calling the chief justice. Everything will be alright. Go and get rest."

Ariana nodded, and Damien left her there.

She instantly ran to her room and took her cell phone and shawl to cover herself because she had worn a night suit-like shirt and pyjamas.

*********

The police officer came to Ryan and exclaimed.

"Sir, you're free to go,"

"What do you mean?" Ryan raised his brow.

"Sir, the man has taken his complaint back."

Ryan nodded and moved out, adjusting his suit.

The first thing he saw coming out was his bride, his wife.

Ryan frowned. But the voice of that man forced him to look in his direction.

"I took my complaint back just because of your wife. Otherwise, I'll make sure to run you between court and jail." Ryan ignored his nonsense and approached Ariana.

"What are you doing here?" He gripped her arm, and Ariana winced in pain but hid it, biting her lip.

"Sir, your wife, came to the police station, and I escorted her to the nearby hospital where this man was treated. She requested him to take his complaint back, and now you can go."

Ryan looked at the officer, and he gulped down in fear.

Ryan held Ariana from her wrist and moved outside.

Walking speedily, they reached a street.

"Ryan, you're hurting me." Ariana sobbed.

Ryan slammed her against the wall and leaned over her.

He put one hand above her head, and the other held her wrist.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

Ariana remained silent, and a few tears slipped from her eyes.

Ryan closed his eyes in frustration and took a deep breath, engulfing the scent of her hair.

He left her wrist and opened his eyes. He glanced down at her.

"You're in your night suit. You know its fibre is silky, and it's touching your skin."

Ariana said nothing, just tried to soothe the pain in her wrist.

"I asked you something. Do you know what you had worn?" Ryan yelled at her.

"I took a shawl to cover me, and I came just to help you out."

"Who said I need help? and especially your help, Who said?" Ryan scowled, taking a step back from her.

Ryan's words and the bitterness in them pierced her heart, so a lot of tears rolled down her cheeks.

Watching her cry, Ryan huffed in anger. He removed his fingers from his hair and stepped towards her.

Leaning on her ear, he exclaimed.

"I don't need you. So don't try to help me next time." Ryan moved back and adjusted her shawl over her shoulders and upper body.

"Let's go home."
