Chapter 4 Her heart break

I danced to the song blasting from the radio, I didn't care about the lyrics just the beating. Turning my tiny waist to the beat, I stir the pot on the fire.

I decided to prepare Beatrice favourite, I know it will facilitate the news on what's making her cry like a three years old baby who candy was taken faster.

Cooking has always been my thing ever since I was a little girl. Mom and I would listen to songs from the radio as we make dinner.

"What's that smell ? Beatrice voice rang out

"Over here, Missy" I called out from the kitchen

"The best cook in the universe, my one and only chef, baby girl, you truly know the way to my beautiful heart" She said as she walks into the kitchen

"Beautiful heart indeed, you are awake? I asked

"Me, awake!!! She screamed in disbelief

I turned and raised my eyebrows, questioning

"No o, I am still sleeping, are you blind, can't you see me on the bed" She said sarcastic

I hissed and turned back to my pot

"What are you cooking? She asked coming to stand by me

"Your favorite? I said.

" Is that..."

"Yup" I nodded

"Oh my God, you are simply the best girlie" she said hugging me

"I know" I said tapping her shoulder to indicate the hug is okay, instead, my best friend who is not so best now tightened the hug

"Too tight" I said, well Beatrice would always be Beatrice, instead of releasing me like every other sensible person would, she tighten the hug

"I c.a...n't bree..a...th" I managed to say

The instants she pulled from hug, I took in heavy breath, panting like I just ran a marathon

"..... Exciting, how did..." I caught her saying

I guess she noticed the look on my face

"You weren't listening? She asked

I nodded my head guilty

Well, it an error in the sight of Beatrice for her to be speaking and you ain't listening. That one of the biggest challenge she has with her mom, and why she missed my mom so much

"Oh, you were trying to catch your breath, so it understandable" She smiled

I can't believe I just escaped hours of nonstop lectures.

"Thanks" I said

"Why are suddenly making my fav, when just the day before yesterday, you refused to and promised not to make it anytime soon? She asked

I blushed rather than answering

"Oh my God, you what to know what happened, right? She asked nodding her head

"Well, you caught me" I said

"If that's is what you are trying to achieve, well girl, I just wanna tell you your mission is definitely going to be absolutely accomplished" She said breaking into a big smile

Told ya, I definitely knows the way to her heart

"Go set the table, food Is almost ready"

"In how many minutes? She said

"In less than one" I replied with a smug

"Yay hay" She screamed heading to the dining

"So? I asked taking a large gulp of water

"This meal is so delicious, you should really consider cooking as a career, you are good in it, it is also your passion, you see, double package" She said

"Thanks and so? I asked again

"So? She repeated

"Do I have to spill it out" I asked

"Oh, the"

"Yes, the" I said looking at her intently, I am not ready to miss anything, the expression on her face inclusive

"I am waiting" I said when I noticed she isn't ready to speak

"He cheated"

"What!!! I screamed

"Jude cheated on me" She said, I could see she is trying so hard not to cry

Jude and Beatrice are high school sweetheart, they were are inseparable

"How did you found out? I asked

"I suspected he was cheating when he calls reduced, he stop visiting as usual, always giving excuses, i believed because I trusted him with every fiber in my bones" She said sobbing

I could see she truly loved him. Relationships are stressful, thank God, I am still single. Not like I am going to say that out loud.

"It okay, stop crying, he doesn't worth it" I said holding her hand

"Do you know that he introduced the bitch to me as his cousin" She said wiping her face

"What!!! Surprised filled my face,

"Who does that? I asked

"Jude does" She replied with chuckle

"I am so sorry" I said not knowing what to say

"It is not your fault, so stop saying sorry. How did I not know, I am so stupid" She said, her finger tracing the tip of the glass cup, she had just finished drinking from

"No, you are not, so how did you find out? I asked

Jude no longer lives on the same town with us, he got a job in the next town. About an hour drive from here

"Remember, I told you I would be visiting him today, since it been quite some time I last saw him" she paused

"Yes" I urge her to continue

"I was so excited to see him, I got a lot of stuff for him with money I have been saving, oh did I mention it was a surprise visit? She asked

"Nope but you just did" I said

"Only for me to get there and meet the biggest shock of my entire life, I met him and that bitch called Cindy or whatever her name is having..., oh my God I can't even mention it" she said closing her eyes

"Yes, and do you know what the idiot said?

"Nope" I said eager to hear the next line

"He had to seek for what I wasn't giving him outside" She said

My mom mmade us swore not to have s*x outside marriage. I seriously can't believe Beatrice kept her word

We spent the rest of the afternoon raining insult on Jude before finally strolling out for fresh air.

Beatrice decided to sleepover as she can't face her annoying mom.
