Chapter 5 Trapped In A Cage

Kiara was inside her room looking through the window it been two weeks she saw Handy since the day they both came back from their honeymoon she has not set eyes on him and she was not allowed to go out according to his order she is just like a bird trapped in a cage.

Two weeks a ago she was this happy and free 21 years old lady with some many adventures on her mind but here she is now as a wife to a man who doesn't care about her or love her. Grayyyyy......the ringing of her phone jolt her off her thoughts as she quickly rushed to pick it hopping it might be her husband but when she check the call it happens to be Sophie her best friend.

"Hi Kiara" her friends voice echo from the other side of the phone.

"Sophia" she just mumble silently.

"How are you doing" Sophia said with a happy voice.

"Am cool and what about you?" Kiara said in a low voice.

"Girl am very good... oh my gosh being married is very sweet girlfriend" she beam laughing excitedly.

Wow!! really? Kiara asked a little bit sad like she wasn't married too.

"Yea Matthew have been so caring and lovely since our wedding day and he doesn't want us to come back home from honeymoon now" she said smiling.

"That's cool" Kiara manage to say. "So what about Matthew?" she asked.

"He went to get me some coffee. He has been so lovely. What about Handy?" Sophia asked making Kiara to remain mute as silent descend on them "Hello, are you there?" she asked when she noticed that Kiara is no longer talking.

"Handy went on a very important businesses trip his not around right now" she manage to say.

"So you guys are back to Florida?" she asked.

-Yes....yes a day after our wedding night" Kiara muttered sadly.

"What!!? but that too soon you didn't even get to enjoy yourselves" she complained making Kiara to roll her eyes only if she knows what she is passing through here.

"You know, it a very important business and he has to come back but I believe once he is done we are going to have good time together" she lied.

"So girl tell me about your wedding night Sophia teased. "How was the s*x was it painful?" she asked in a whisper.

Those question hurts Kiara so much as his words keep reflecting on her heads uncontrollable "YOU ARE NOT A VIRGIN" his word hits her like sting.

" Yea....yea, It was painful as usual but my husband made me to enjoyed it" she lied to Sophia because she is not ready to tell any body about what she is passing in her married life.

"How was your own night?" she asked Sophia smirking trying to shift the discussion away from her side.

"I was scared and couldn't do it, so I pleaded with my husband to wait till am ready which he agreed on for now I am still a virgin but I never told him I am a virgin."

" Wow! that's very crazy you are really lucky to have someone like Matthew as your husband. So when are you coming back to Florida?" Kiara asked her.

"Next week hopefully."

" Can't wait to see you."

"Me too."

FEW DAYs LATER

Frederick stand at the waiting room of the hospital looking very worried and devasted. His face harden a frown was written all over his handsome face. It took him lot effort not to burst into an hectic cry. he prayed silently that nothing happens to her because she is the only reason why he still living.

"Sir you can go and see the doctor in his office now" one of the nurse said to him.

Immediately he stood up from his chair heading to the doctors, office when he got to the entrance of his office he knock slightly on it.

"come in" a gentle voice ushered him in.

"Good evening Mr Frederick" the doctor greeted smiling at him.

"Thank you" Frederick said as they exchange handshake and he sat on a chAir at the front of the doctor.

"Doctor how is my daughter's health?" he asked looking worried.

"Sir you need to calm down, for now she is doing fine" the doctor said. "But her condition is getting worst I suggest you let her under go an operation."

"No doctor I don't want my daughter to be operated" Frederick replied sadly.

"Then you should make sure she takes her drugs properly and....." the doctor pause looking into his eyes. "She have been thinking a lot lately and it not good for her health please make sure you do everything within your power to make her happy for the minor time she has to live on earth" he adviced.

"I am trying my best doctor but I know what the problem is I will try fix it. Can I see her now?" Frederick asked the doctor.

"Sure you can see her just go to word 311" he instructed handling Frederick some peppers.

Frederick entered the room which his daughter is immediately he opened the door a prick of tears drop from his eyes as he saw the only source of his happiness laying on a sick bed looking weak and helpless. It so painful that very soon she will leave this earth but before then he promise to fulfill all of her wishes and happiness.

He walk closer to her and sat on a chair beside her bed as he took her hands on his own and place a soft kiss on it "Please baby be strong for me" wisper rubbing his face on her hands staying like that for some minutes.

"Daddy" a soft voice woke Frederick from his thought as he quickly raise his head up and meet a grey eyes staring at him. Immediately a smile plastered on his face.

"Oh my princess you are awake. How you feeling?" he said using his hands to touch her face.

"Am fine" Emily said with a tiny voice staring at her father.

"Daddy where is my Mummy?" she asked making Frederick to remain silent for a while he knew she must have been thinking about her mother lately which worsen her condition.

"Your mum is on her way coming" he said. He has call on Isabella to come meet him quickly in the hospital here in Florida.

"Baby I don't want you to think or bother yourself anymore your mum will come back today" he said to his five years old daughter and immediately the door burst open as Isabelle rushed in with worried on her face.

After an hour she saw Isabella coming as her father have promised.

"Mummy" Emily called weakly immediately she saw Isabelle.

"Oh my little baby" Isabelle rushed to her and kissed her on her forehead.

"Mummy I miss you so much" Emily said sadly.

"I miss you too baby sorry for not being around have been busy lately but I promised to spend more time with you."

"Mummy you promise?" Emily asked lazily and she bring her little finger out while she and Isabella make a promising sign.

"Yes baby I promise" Isabella muttered.

"Thank you mum" Emily smile wider.

"Hmmm....." Frederick cleared his throat. "Seems you guys forget about me right?" he tease.

"No dear we didn't forget you" sabella said moving closer to him and kissed him.

"Mummy, daddy I am here" Emily wisper using her hands to cover her face.

"Oh sorry dear" they both chorus and break the kiss.

"I want to go home now" Emily said happily.

"Sure....sure will need to start going home now" Frederick said and they start parking.
