🐺 ARTHUR 🐺

What a strange world! Just when I think I'm starting to understand this new world, things get more complicated and confusing. Back in my time, There weren't so many things and life was simple but in this new era, There are so many things that one could hardly grasp or understand.

After hearing about a mobile phone from that vampire lady, I decided to go and do a little research about all things I don't know about and lucky for me, I found someone who showed and taught me all about the modern life, this individual's name is Petra.

Petra is a petite young lady that runs a small store in Queens, she's also a werewolf 🐺, She and I met after my first day as a custodian, I was roaming around the streets of New-york looking for a place to stay. After hours of roaming about, I sat near a store trying to rest and that was when I met Petra.

As it turns out the store was hers and she was going to close for the day, She felt sorry for me and decided to give me a place to stay on the condition that I gave her protection from thieves and also paid my rent and so I agree.

Petra's house was close to her store and it wasn't much of place to stay but at least it's better than staying out on the streets.

After staying a couple of nights at her place, we got acquainted and became friends. Just like me, Petra had no family, the only family she ever knew was her uncle and he too was now gone, The only thing he left for her was the store she was running.

Also when it comes to social life, Petra doesn't have one, in fact she's more of an anti-social person, she doesn't talk and hangout with people much, all she ever cares about is running her store in peace. Petra is a very fine looking and lovely lass, it's a shame she doesn't have anyone in her life to appreciate her beauty or maybe she just wants to be alone.

So a couples of days after I heard about that mobile phone, I decided to ask her about it, Later that night, as we were both in the house, I brought up the question.

Arthur ➡ Excuse me Petra.. What's a mobile phone?

Petra ➡ You don't know what's a mobile phone?

.

Arthur ➡ Nay!

.

Petra ➡ Oh Arthur.. What kind of a being are you? First you don't anything about this city; Second, you speak like someone from the old ages and third you don't know a mobile phone. You need to tell me who you are.. Right now!

Telling her about myself wouldn't be a problem but I wonder how she'd react if I told her I'm a half breed. And consider the era I'm in, Vampires and werewolves are bitter enemies.

Arthur ➡ Well, you see Petra.. I'm not really from this period. I'm from period when all the nations were divided and still at war with each other , I was kept under hibernation for a very long time. I just woke up days ago and found my way here.

Petra ➡ Hibernation!?

Arthur ➡ Aye.

.

Petra ➡ Well.. I really don't know what to say.. So you're saying you're thousands of years old?

Arthur ➡ Aye.

.

Petra ➡ Will you please stop saying Aye?? Nobody uses that term any more. You should say, Yes, or Precisely or absolutely..

Arthur ➡ Oh, well can you answer my question? What's a mobile phone?

Petra ➡ Its a communication device used for communicating.. Here let me show you.

.

Petra rugged her hands in her phone and brought out some kind of strange invention, I've seen lots of people use it in my place of work.

Petra ➡ You see this? It's an Android phone.. There's more than one way you can use it communicate, you can call, text, chat or even video call.

Arthur ➡ I see.. How do you use it to communicate?

.

Petra ➡ My goodness, this is going to take a while.. Look Arthur, I'll show you everything you need to know but know I need to rest, okay?

Arthur ➡ Sure.

.

In that moment, There was a knock on the door, Petra excused herself and went to open the door. Minutes went by and there was no sign of her, I felt worried and went to check her out.

Immediately I went to the door, I stopped Petra talking to a vampire. The Vampire noticed my presence and began to stare at me menacingly, I stared back to him too and approached Petra if anything was wrong.

Arthur ➡ Petra.. Is everything alright?

Petra ➡ Yes Arthur.. I'm fine.. What are you doing down here?

.

Arthur ➡ You didn't return so I came to check on you.

Xavier ➡ Who's this nosy fool?

.

Petra ➡ He's my guest.. He doesn't mean any harm!

.

Xavier ➡ Well then.. As i was saying, your tax is due and if you don't pay in time, you shop will be closed!!

Arthur ➡ You can't do that!

.

Xavier ➡ Just who do you think you are!?

.

Petra ➡ Arthur please... Can you leave us alone for a moment? I need to talk to him alone.

.

Arthur ➡ Are you sure?

.

Petra ➡ Yes.. Just go for a walk for a while.

.

Arthur ➡ Alright then. I'll leave you two alone.

After that, I wore my shoes and went out of the house; as I passed through the door, the vampire and I exchanged one last look and brushed shoulders before I exited the house. As soon as I was outside, I decided to take a walk around the block to get some fresh air. I just hope Petra will be alright.
