Sharon slowly stepped into the room tiredly, ambling towards the bed and slumped on it. She groaned as she winces a bit from the aches she felt on her body as a result of the hard work she did. Being a slave ain't easy at all, she prayed never to be one in her next life. Not even her greatest foe should experience such inhumanity.
"Hey, redhead! your back," Mingan said. Emerging from the bathroom as she cleaned her wet body with the towel.
"Yeah, I have. And it was hell! All my body aches so much... there was so much work here and there, ah!" Sharon winced again as she tried sitting up from the bed, caressing her wry neck and her hurting legs.
Mingan chuckled.
"You're a tough one you know, I mean- I'm stunned. Most newbies don't last even a second" she added, walking closer to her bed to dress up.
"Is that how it always looks like?" she heard Sharon ask and she slowly turns her head at her with furrowed brows.
"What do you mean? I don't understand" she shrugged slightly.
"Uh, I meant_ is that how slaves are been chopped like shriveled onions_"
"Chopped like shriveled onions?" Mingan arched a brow confusedly by what she meant.
"Yeah, chopped like shriveled onions. I mean slaying their heads out, leaving their bodies to fall like old depleted trees" Sharon clarified.
"When you retreated out of the kitchen, after a while, we were ordered to break the ice at the ice house. Damn, some of us were too frozen to move a finger, Unfortunately, two blondes were killed instantly when they couldn't keep up. Geez! I almost threw up, thank goddess I was able to overcome the urge to" Sharon revealed and Mingan slowly sat on the bed after wearing her clothes, she signs.
"Two dead. That's odd. I mean, over fifteen or twenty are always slashed within seconds. That's how it is, so you've got to work tirelessly to avoid the sword being sliced through your neck" Mingan sounded so creepy, it caused Sharon to twitch in fright.
Oh no, that doesn't sound good; she's got to work endlessly to avoid being killed like a scape hen. She has to work, work, and work!
And that reminds her... Luna. At the thought of her, came the sound of a knock on the door, as its hinge clicked and the door opened, revealing the royal guards with Luna in their grips as they pushed her hard to the floor and they left.
Luna grunted so painfully; she lay almost lifelessly on the floor. "Luna!" Sharon yelled. Rushing towards her on the floor, Mingan ran hastily out of the room to get ice and water.
"Oh my God! What did those dimwits do to you, Luna!" Sharon shrieked out in bursts as she held Luna in her arms.
Mingan ran into the room and dropped the water and ice on the mini table beside the bed before rushing to assist Sharon to pull Luna to the bed.
They made her lie flat on her stomach while Sharon carefully tried to remove the cloth which has stuck hard on her back due to the blood.
"Ah!" Luna snort groaningly as she slowly shook her head at Sharon to stop.
"You've got to let her remove your cloth, okay? So we could clean the surfaces with water and apply some medication to it" Minga tried to persuade, but instead, Luna stubbornly refused.
"No. Don't do anything, I'm fine!" Luna said almost inaudible but they heard her.
"How can you say that huh? You're badly wounded and we need to quickly treat the bruises before it gets infected!" Sharon grouse worriedly.
"But you-your wounds, it's might get scars" Mingan chips in as she stretched out her hand towards Luna, the bowl of water and ice on her hand.
"Don't you both get it! Just leave-ah!" Luna cried out. her eyes shut tightly with clutched fists, the pain is burning too much on her back.
"Leave me alone, huh! You two just go away!" she yelled as they both shifted a bit far from the bed. Sharon huffed as she ran out of the room, Mingan gave Luna a low stare before running after her.

Diana glanced inwardly at Lucian as he ate his meal in silence, he hasn't said a word since he saw her at the dining since her arrival. He didn't even acknowledge her greetings and that alone, got her confused. He seemed angry about something, or should she rather say someone offended him.
But then, who could dare offend the great Alpha king? That's suicide. Rolling her eyes mentally as she continues her meal, Fuck! She couldn't take it any longer and she pretentiously fanned herself with her hands even though the atmosphere is not heated.
"It's suffocating in here," she said, forcing a small smile while Lucian gulped some water from his golden cup.
He completely ignored her statement and gradually, the tension in the air is now thick, Diana spoke up again.
"Aint you gonna say anything?" narrowing her gaze at his dark eyes as if, searching for something in them.
"You can go outside if you need some fresh air" his coldness came screaming at her while he picked up his cutlery to eat again.
"Geez! Why the cold shoulders huh? Ain't you happy little sis is back, do you know how much she has missed you so much? And-" She gibbered grumpily dropping her cutlery noisily.
Lucian shot her an icy glare which she quickly slap her mouth and bowed.
"I'm sorry, Alpha king. My most sincere apologies" she asked for forgiveness. Hearing Lucian heaves afterward, she raises her head to take a small glimpse of him. That was a close one; she didn't realize how her lips were jabbering.
"Why did you come back?" Lucian queried while consuming his meal, Diana's face crumpled up instantly.
"Bu-but I thought-" she shutters, not knowing how to put her words. How could he ask her such a question? Didn't he want her to come back? He gave her a certain period to come back and she obeyed; now the period is over, she's back.
"Um- I can..."
"Enough. I just lost my appetite, all thanks to you" he cut her off, standing up from his chair, he left the dining hall with his robe sweeping the floor, his hand as usual crossed behind him as he walked away.
Diana poured herself some amount of wine, gulping it once in fury, she shook her head sideways as she threw the cup across.
"Arghh!" •
Lucian marched mightily towards his study, his facial expression was a cold one as all the maids and guards he'd come across, stopped walking and bowed to pay their respect to him.
"My King!" Hades came running towards him as he gave a low bow to him, but Lucian didn't turn to look at him as he marched on.
"The royal spy is back, and he's currently in your private balcony as I speak my king" he reported.
"The royal spy?" he paused, tilting his head over his shoulder with narrowed brows.
"Yes, my king!" Been said that Lucian turns towards the hallway as he strides towards his private balcony.

Mingan ran into the garden, breathing heavily trying to catch her breath as she sighted Sharon standing afar staring at the tiny white blossoms; she looked like someone who just lost a loved one.
"Don't tell me your crying, redhead? Oh C'mon, I thought you're a tough one huh," Sharon heard a familiar voice say behind her.
She softly chuckled mentally at her how Mingan calls her "redhead" she had warned her, not to call her redhead but she wouldn't listen.
"No, I'm not," she replied, slowly turning to face Mingan who stood with her arms across her chest.
"Then why are you here? And do you know this is the King's private garden, no one is allowed in here except him" Mingan disclosed and Sharon began studying the whole garden, it's truly a beautiful garden, benefiting a king.
"Oh! I never knew. I mean- I never noticed, I just ran to where my legs took me too" Sharon said innocently and Mingan smack her face.
"It's fine. Let's leave before anyone sees us," Mingan said as they both walk out of the garden.
"I know you're troubled, dead worried about your friend. But don't worry about her; I know she's gonna be fine and she's stronger than she looks" Mingan assured, and Sharon signs, fiddling her shirt edges.
"I hope so, I do hope so..." Sharon mumbled sadly, lowering her eyes down.
"Look redhead, you don't need to behave this way, don't get yourself affected by all this or you won't last. I'm telling you right now, this is just the beginning. I've been through this ever since I was four, and it has been hell" Mingan places her hand on Sharon's shoulder while she bore her eyes in hers.
"Conduct yourself for what is to come, Dylan may think he's the one to guide Luna but he's wrong, you're the one. You're the one destined to be by her side, to stop her from not pursuing her goals"
"She must fulfill her vow even if there are thousands of storms coming her way" Mingan concluded with a smile, leaving Sharon astonishingly shocked.
How does she know about Luna's oath? how does she know Dylan?!
"I know your shock Mingan, don't be. I'm a seer werewolf, from the Midnight pack. So don't be surprised if I tell you what would happen in the nearest future" Mingan said, snapping her fingers across Sharon's face proudly.
"Wow. I'm still in shock, I mean- you're a seer and you said I was born to guide Luna through her path?" Sharon inquires to be very sure of what she heard. This sounds unbelievable and confusing! How can she be a guidance to Luna?
"Believe it or not, it's your choice" Mingan shrug.
"Although in as much I sense chaos coming; it was fated already and I can't... I mean, no one can hinder what the future has for us" she added forthwith, gazing around her surrounding.
Sharon blinks her eyes as she gulped down dryly, wanting to ask what's to emerge in the future but decided not to as it would look inappropriate, she had already heard enough for the cold night. She made to say something when she paused almost immediately, shutting her eyes as gripped her hair, and a low groan expelled from her rosy lips.
"What's it? What's the wrong redhead? Are you alright?" Mingan placed her hand on her shoulders lightly, causing Sharon to open her eyes, gapping.
"My-my wolf! It's- it's dancing happily, wanting to let out and- and I don't know why" Sharon shutters confusedly, she seems not to understand why the sudden act up.
"Your wolf sensed your mate, yes. She smelled your mate that's why" Minga elucidated with smiles.
"Huh? My mate?!" Sharon queries in doubt.
"I wasn't joking when I said Love, sensed your mate, Sharon" Minga rolled her eyeballs.
It's true! Sharon exclaimed mentally. Her wolf's name is Love!
"The hazing season is getting nearer, your mate is an impatient one!" Minga teased, a small laugh follows.
"But why isn't he here? I mean... He could sense me, right? Then why isn't he here?" Sharon asked avidly, looking around as they both tried to check if they'd see anyone, unfortunately, they found no one.
Strange. "Hey! Look, redhead! There's someone on the tree" Mingan screamed out, pointing frantically at the oak tree towards the south. Snappily, Sharon's eyes quickly followed her finger which was pointing at the tree, and her eyes dilated alarmingly, Huh?
They watched the strange man all dressed in black, escaping through the tree, till he was out of sight.
"Who the hell was that?!" Minga asked awfully, she shut her eyes, trying to know who it was however, surprisingly she couldn't access him at all. Shit!
Sharon slowly wrap her hands around her body as she stood numb in panic.
"Could he be my mate?" she muttered.

The room was quite cozy as the candlelight was the only glint that shone the whole room as Luna lay on the bed, weeping silently. She couldn't tell if she was crying from the excruciating pains on her back or the anguish miseries she felt in her heart.
She tried sitting up "Argh!" she whines, laying back on the bed in grunts. "It hurts!" she mumbles, her face wrinkled. "I will never forgive you for this," she said mentally as her lips quivered, her eyes red like flames of fire.
"I will make you pay dearly, I swear! I will make you pay for your sins! You will crawl on the floor and beg for your life, Alpha!" her hands finding their way to the portable table beside her bed as she grabbed the candlelight, furiously throwing it across as the whole room became dark.
"I AM YOUR DOOM SO I AM YOUR DEATH!" Silence follows, her heavy breathing could be only heard. She was restless, her body screams of venomous anger which flows endlessly in her veins.
Images of her brother and parent flowed into her head as she sobbed more, she strived to sit up but her bruises back hindered her. She recalls her massacred pack; how they were viciously slaughtered and she... An agent of the royal spy family couldn't save her pack from the bloodthirsty animals! And now... she has vowed to avenge their deaths.
She immensely tried to call on her wolf, Lillith. But it felt as if something was obstructing her from reaching Lillith out, which she finds weird. Anytime she's in despondency, her wolf was always sure to be there to comfort her.
She sobs as she lulls to a night of deep sleep.
