Chapter 5 PRACTICE

October 2016

I got home slightly tired, after dancing for almost four hours and all the spinning and bending got me throwing up for at least five minutes.

I don't usually throw up after ballet lesson because I've been dancing my whole life, since I was four, and you can call me one of the best students in the dance class.

But since I started rehearsals immediately after eating, it took a huge toll on me. At least I didn't get dizzy during the dance.

I dragged myself to the sitting room where my parents were all cuddled up, watching a movie which I must tell you, seems and sounds boring.

How do they even manage to watch such a movie and still find it hilarious?

"Good afternoon Mr and Mrs perkins." I said tiredly as I flopped down on the couch.

"Hey sweetie, how was your day at school?" My mom asked as she tried to get up but my dad dragged her down.

"Hey baby, where are you going? I said I was cold." My dad whined kissing my mom and then resting his head on her chest.

"Give me something to throw up for, Dad, would You?" I yelled throwing my hands up as I made my way for the staircase.

"I'm sorry sweetheart." My mom yelled as I trudged up the staircase, faintly hearing her scold my dad.

I'm glad that I was born into this family because of the strong love my parents have for each other but I wouldn't want to know what led to me.

*cheese* 😁📸

I got to my room, freshened up, pulled on just a laker basketball short and vest with Bryant written at the back, I was a fan of his, yes, because I dreamt of being a basketballer, unfortunately, my height and also because i loved he and his daughter's commitment and talent. Even if he and Gianna are gone from this world, their legacy still lives on.

Rest in peace kobe and gianna Bryant.

After doing my assignment and probably sneaking up some junk food,

I sat down on my balcony to enjoy the evening breeze and my eyes made contact with the next house, the window specifically.

Why did I anticipate something? Why did I wish to hear that powerful key again? Why did I want to so badly hear the plano's enchanting sound? Or was it the player who had skilful fingers? I didn't know exactly, if I wanted to hear it or see it.

Curiosity kills the cat, and it will kill me one day because I so happen to be a nosey cat and that day is today.

I stood up immediately, dumping the sour patches I was festing on.

Checking cautiously, if my parents were still there and grinning like an idiot when I find out my parents had gone to their room to continue the mood they were in, I quietly ran to the door. Gently opening it, so as not to make a sound, I came out.

Plan A successful !

Using all the power in me, I dragged the ladder close to the pool to the wall of our fence, this was my only chance to see the person. I would lie that I dropped something so I came to pick it.

I was already at the last step to the success of plan B, when I heard my mom's voice.

"Would you explain to me miss, why you decide to go through the fence?" She asked with a stern face.

"Oh, hey mom, I was just going to watch the sunset from here." I laughed awkwardly as I sat on the fence.

"I was planning to take you with me to see the new neighbours today, but since you probably have something up your sleeve, you stay at home." My mom declared as she helped me down.

I knew that tone, it was the tone she used when she didn't want to hear another word and there was no going back. Now I know, I'm not capable of being a spy, doing gymnastics was a great help though, it helped me get down from the ladder without a scratch.

Great achievement.

I walked inside grumpily as I threw myself on the bed, I felt like crying. Why did I even go? Maybe I would have seen him tonight without any stress.

Taking out my phone, I went on Pinterest to check out any exciting pictures and maybe stalking my social media crush.

After operating my phone for some minutes, playing any boring game I could find and studying a little bit, I finally became sleepy.

But just as I was about to go to bed, I heard my mom call me. Arrgggh, what does this woman want again?

"Yes mommy." I yelled as I stood up and made my way downstairs.

"Your sister is coming home, go pick her up from the airport." She said happily as she took the cake she bakes for the neighbours and made her way out of the door.

Are you for real right now mom? The witch is back, back to drag all hot guys with me.

Yeah I had a sister, an elder sister, kira, she was a goddess, beautiful, tall with pretty legs, smart and had the prettiest smile, yes, I'm angry because she not only get to have all the good genes but all the hot boys.

Back then when She was in high school, boys followed her home, she received gifts from them regularly, but there was this particular one she had eyes for, Ashton's elder brother, Scott, they dated and also went to same university.

But she's a demon, she made me do all the house chores, because of her, I never got any attention from boys anytime we were together, she always stole the show and would purposely make boys stare at her by putting on seductive clothes.

Enough of my angry rant and story, I have to go pick her up before she throws a tantrum about how she got sun stroke because of me just to get all the attention again.
