Chapter 5 Simon quetioning mind

When Janus checks with the finance department, he discovers that Sophia has received her salary for the month. Her rented apartment is paid yearly, so she will return at least to pick up her belongings. He bribed the apartment guard to notify him whenever Sophia returned.

The image of the girl lingered in his mind, her beauty, her voices, her touches, and her smiles driving him insane. Janus adored her because she is such a lovely girl. His anxiety has increased as a result of Sophia's pregnancy. He does not want children and will not marry a woman. He is only interested in having romantic relationships with the girls, including Sophia.

Paula was aware that some men followed her to the office, and during lunch, she noticed a suspicious car parked in front of her office building.

She decided to order delivery lunch and sneak into her coworker's car after office hours to go out.

She goes to the café and borrows their phone in order to call Lisbeth's house.

"Sophia, keep quiet there; Janus is looking for you, and I'm being followed. And he has sent guards to your apartment. If there is anything else you require, please ask Lisbeth to contact us."

Janus was insanely hunting for her in order to vanish his own blood.

"Thank you very much, Paula; you are very kind."

"You don't have to thank me; I'm your best friend, and I want you to be safe Are you sure you want to keep the baby?"

"It's my life; when I think I'm going to have a baby, my spirit lifts. It's incredible, Paula. "I'm not going to give up." Sophia was choked up by her rapid speech.

"I've got it. I'll get back to you later."

She considered herself fortunate to have such a wonderful friend as Paula, who was always there for her whenever she needed her.

Sophia dialed her home number in order to listen to messages on her answering machine.

Her coworker inquired about her departure status, she received several calls from Janus, a call from her brother, Simon, and an unknown caller.

Soon after, she dialed Simon's number and informed him of her intention to take a year off to travel to a foreign country.

"When and where will you go, and with whom?" He is one of Sophia's five brothers, and he has always spoiled her rotten.

"Simon, I am safe; I have a kind friend who is now with me." "Allow me to introduce you." Sophia requested that Lisbeth approach her.

"Hello, my name is Lisbeth, and how are you?" comparable to Sophia?" She giggles as she imagines a male Sophia.

"This is Simon. So you're going to go with Sofie?" Simon was greeted warmly by a Lisbeth.

Sophia fixed her gaze on Lisbeth after hearing what she said. She does not want Simon to visit her.

"Perhaps next time." You're going to travel around the world?"

"Yes... we have a nice world," Lisbeth said, rubbing Sophia's flat belly. This belly will be bulkier sooner or later. Lisbeth and Sophia laughed as they imagined a journey for the baby in Sophia's womb as a precursor to their own.

"Well, take good care of yourselves, and I'll send Sophia some extra pocket money." Keep in touch with me from time to time."

Sophia took the phone from Lisbeth.

"Many thanks, brother!" Could you please do me a favor? Please ask someone to look after my place. "I'll be leaving next week." Sophia is concerned about her home and her belongings.

"I'll do it, bye for now."

The two women hugged and joyfully jumped.

"He sounds too good to be true; he even wants to give you money?" "What is his occupation?" Lisbeth inquired.

"I have five brothers, with Simon being the middle one. He is a lawyer, single, and handsome." If you see him, you'll fall."

"Wow... what a hot bachelor!" Sophia, I am a teen mother on my own. "I close my eyes and my heart because no other men will fall for me," she explained.

Her words were tinged with melancholy, and Sophia predicted that she would be in a similar situation in the near future. Should she close her heart as well? She adores Janus, her first love, and hopes that one day he will return to her and they will be reunited as a family. That is her intention in continuing her pregnancy.

"You're young; allow love to come to you." She stated.

Lisbeth sighs as she sits on the sofa.

She related her story.

" I was young at the time, and we did it for our graduation party. He moved to another country to further his education. I told him about my pregnancy, but I haven't been able to contact him since. Harland has never met his father. I don't like his father; it was a wild party, and we were young and unaware of what we had done."

Sophia approached Lisbeth and rubbed her arm. She was at ease.

"Lisbeth, you deserve love; open your heart."

Sophia looked deeply into her eyes and saw a glimmer of hope. People live in hope, and without hope, there is no spirit to live. Her son's presence was a compelling reason for her to stay. She will keep the baby and raise it as Lisbeth did.

"You are my patron, Lisbeth."

"And you are my dearly young sister."

They hugged and stroke their back with lovingly touches.

Sophia later wrote a resignation letter and asked Lisbeth to post it from the capital when she'll in a business trip the following week.

She felt a void after the letter was transferred to Lisbeth's hand. It was her first job. She enjoys her job and looks forward to meeting Janus. Sophia never regretted what she had done.

"Actually, I need a desk top; I applied for a job as a translator in a company and a publisher."

"Why don't you bring your computer from home?"

"It's a bad idea; Janus will track me here."

"However, before you start a new job, you should not spend too much money because you need medical treatment."

"I understand. Simon sent me a large sum of money."

"You're in luck."

She was indeed fortunate in her financial situation.

Sophia smiles awkwardly; she never tells her friends about her family's wealth. Her parents gave her pocket money, and her brothers occasionally sent her money.

Sophia was in a tizzy and couldn't think clearly when she took Janus' debit card.

She intended to return the card, but she decided to keep it instead, despite the fact that she will never withdraw a single penny from it.

"I've saved enough money to buy a desktop computer and pay for my pregnancy treatment."

"I require a computer in order to earn money."

Lisbeth gave a nod.

The next day, Simon had a man look over Sophia's house, but the man found strange things. It appears that some people entered the area to look for something.

"Bedroom was a mess, and furniture was broken and fallen," the man told Simon.

"Here's the situation, I photographed every corner," he explained.

When Simon saw the photos, he frowned. He considered robbery and wanted to call Sophia, but then he noticed a picture that showed a message to Sophia.

"How far will you run?" I'm sure I'll find you."

He gave her sister a lot of thought and began to look into her sister's circle of friends.

A few days later, he learned that her sister had vanished. Sophia must deal with a major problem that forces her to flee, resign from her position, and seek refuge elsewhere.

Simon believes she is still in the country, but she will remain hidden for a year. Lisbeth is her companion.

When they last spoke on the phone, they appeared to be at peace and content.

Simon discovers that the person who snuck into Sophia's house didn't take any valuablrs at all. He noticed a bundle of bank notes in a withdrawer, as well as her jewelry and computer, which were all safely stored.

He dialed Sophia's number from her phone house.

"How are you doing, sister?"

"Hmmm, we're in a quiet place, and we're ready to go the day after tomorrow." "I appreciate you sending me money," Sophia said.

"I noticed your house was in disarray. Do you believe it's robbery? "Would you like to make a report?"

"uh... emhh... I... No, I don't believe so. There are no valuable items there." Sophia stated.

"Are you certain? "Please come to confirm!"

"Simon, I'm actually out of city. Could you please help me with the cleaning? Would you do it?"

"It's only a minor detail. I'm worried about your safety; it doesn't appear to be a robbery, but someone you know? Do you have any issues, little sister?"

He was going to mention a written message that was stuck on her computer, but he changed his mind.

"I'm fine, I... I'm just fine," Sophia said, her voice trembling. She doesn't want to tell the truth, Simon should find by himself.

"Okay. "I am always available to you." He hung up the phone.

Simon pushed the recording messages, but Sophia deleted the old messages, leaving only a phone call with no words.

Simon dialed the number again.

"Are you back, Sophie?" asked a cold male voice. Simon does not respond because he wants to hear more.
