Chapter 5 Jinx of Her Life

It was 12 noon; the weather is nice and Alexandra's luggage are currently preparing by their maids.

Her Dad wants her out of their province as soon as possible because rumors about her, being a drug addict are spreading quickly and it has been affecting her dad's image about it. She was happy about ruining her father's image, of course, but it seems that she can't stand being with her dad, a mere sight of him disgusts her.

It has been 3 days after her scene with her dad. It has been 3 days since he slapped her. It has been fucking 3 days and there is still a fucking pain in me'

She even didn't know why it affect her so much. She has been into a lot of catfights, got a lot of bruises but it didn't affect her like this. She didn't know why it affects her so much, she just knew that it hurt a lot.

Her train of thoughts stopped when they reached the mall. She was planning to buy some stuff to bring to her grandparents when she arrived in Manila.

As soon as she got out of their car, people start to look at her and whisper. They knew about her, her attitude, her issues, and of course, they believe all of it.

She just rolled her eyes before wearing her sunglasses to cover her eyes. She walked in inside the mall, not minding the people that are staring and whispering as she walked and passed by.

Another thing about Alexandra. She doesn't care about other people's opinions. She was just minding her own business so better mind yours.

She just kept walking, looking for something that would get her attention that could be bought.

She found a vase that looked antique. She was about to approach it when she collided with someone. She was about to apologize when she saw who had hit her.

She immediately got annoyed. She wore her shades back that slightly fall due to the collision before walking again.

"Aren't you going to apologize?" the person who she hit with said. Alexandra just rolled her eyes before facing him again, "I'm sorry, happy?" she just stared at the man she was talking to, who was none other than Kent Reyes, the walking jinx of her life. The guy who caused her so much stress and trouble.

"Can you be more sincere when you apologize to the person you bump?" Kent said then he followed it with a pout. He even touched the part where Alex bumped him and acted as if he was in deep pain.

"Dream on, mister," Alexandra replied with seriousness in her voice. She was annoyed.

"Having the chance to look at you and to be this close with you is like a dream, Ms. Rios," Kent whispered with a hint of seduction in his voice, and it made Alexandra more annoyed, she was about to cuss when Kent spoke again.

"Oh nah-ah-ah, people are looking at us, Alexandra," Kent whispered, the reason why Alexandra looked around and saw that what Kent said was true. They are slowly getting the people's attention, "Can you afford to have another issue this time?" Kent said then he put his finger in between Alexandra's mouth, touching her reddish and soft lips.

"I am deeply and sincerely asking for forgiveness," Alexandra said annoyingly. She just wants to end this kind of scene with Kent because she can't bear on staying so close to him.

There is a glimpse of a smile on Kent's face but the latter suppressed it.

"Happy?" Alexandra asked sarcastically.

The guy just smirked before leaning more closely towards Alexandra, "Yes, so much happy," he mumbled in Alexandra's ear. Alexandra suddenly feels the warmth of his breath, it sent chills to her and she wasn't comfortable with those kinds of feelings so she immediately pushed Kent but the latter was strong enough that he didn't even move a little bit.

"Am I making you uncomfortable, Alex? Do I still have effects on you?" Alexandra was dumbfounded by the question. She couldn't help but gulp. She was finding answers not for Kent, but for herself when she noticed that people around them were starting to look in their direction.

"Fuck you and your shitty questions. I already said my apologies so now can you just fucking mind your own businesses, Mr. Reyes, and don't fucking come near me you disgusting piece of shit," she was furious. There are many things going around her mind. The sudden decision on going to Manila. The rumors. And what pissed her the most is that she can't even find an answer to Kent's question.

She walked away as if nothing happens. She was trying to keep her poise but every time she remembered her encounter with Kent, she couldn't help but scream inside her head.

She doesn't want to admit it but she was confused, "Okay, you are just stressed. Nothing more and nothing less," she kept on saying it. She kept on convincing herself. But she knew to herself that stress is not the reason why she can't answer Kent's question earlier, but of course, she won't and would never admit it.

It was nearly dawn when she came back to their house. All of her luggage was already in their living room. It was a total of 8 suitcases, it seems like her dad commanded the maids to pack all of her things and to not leave anything.

There were footsteps on the stairs, she saw her dad walking, her dad looked at her for a few seconds but didn't bother to greet her.

"It seems like you really want me to go out of here permanently. Packing all my things huh, are you that desperate on making me go and leave?" she mocked at him but her dad seems like he didn't care about whatever she might say.

She just rolled her eyes before proceeding to her room. She was about to enter her room but the door was locked. She was about to shout for help when one of their maids spoke.

She raised her left eyebrows then crossed her arms. The maid bowed her head, "Ma'am, your father ordered us to clean your room and said that you will sleep in the guest room tonight.

Thank you," the maid left before she could have even reacted.

Frowning, she marched inside on one of their guest room. She couldn't do anything because surely, the keys to her bedroom were kept personally by her dad.

She just lay on the bed, thinking about how her day went and how her life is going to change when she lives in Manila.

She was sleepy and tired. Before closing her eyes, a weird smirking face entered her mind.

It was Kent.
