Chapter 5 Nancy's In-Laws

Author's Pov

Aunt sophie went towards Nancy's room to make sure she is ready as her in laws were coming at dinner.They were her close friends. When she opened the door of Nancy's room she saw her on her phone

"You are still not ready Nancy?.hurry up get ready they'll be here anytime soon.why are you becoming so irresponsible day by day" she said

"I was just about to get ready and all i need to do is to change my clothes." said nancy

"Then do it quickly why are you wasting time.and yes do some makeover too.dont come in front of them with this face understand?" Said aunt sophie in ordering tone

"Fine"

Nancy's Pov:

"How come she manage to be annoying all the time" i thought as she never stops meddling in my affairs

"No matter what i did you'll be always be displeased with me"i said because i know all my efforts in making her happy were in vein.

I even agreed to marry a complete stranger whom i have met only twice.

First time I met him was when we were kids and Aron pulled of his underwear when we were playing in the lake. And second time at our engagement ceremony when he was giving deadly looks to Aron.seems like he still holds the grudge.i just hope he is a good guy.also i can't refuse to aunt sophie as she is the one who has brought us up despite all the hate.

I went towards my cupboard and looked at all the dresses cuz i was to decide.i thought i should ask from Aron but definitely he is a guy why he would be interested in such stuff. So i just randomly picked the green dress and wore necklace that was given to me by Aron .

"I will definitely show him after they will leave"

Emiley's Pov:

"Ahh finally its ready" i said after completing the bouqet. These flowers are enough because i am never gonna say sorry to them why should i apologize.

I then walk towards home to take a shower trying my best not have encounter with sofa because i dont wanna spoil my mood right now.

When i went to room i saw nancy wearing green dress.she was looking pretty

"Hey Emiley.you are back welcome home"

She said as she always greet me this way whenever i am home its annoying because i was just few steps away from home.

"Tell me how i am looking"she asked

"You look like a mango. A raw one".

"I live for your these compliments"she said as she was so happy.

"Seems like you are quite satisfied with your engagement with that stranger".

"Why do you hate him so much"

"I don't know but he doesn't seems right to me"

"If you're gonna mistrust people like this then how will you be get married one day?"

"I just told you what i thought.now i don't care if you like him or not.none of my bussiness. Get a side i wanna take a shower"

I said carelessly and went to bathroom,not knowing why i was feeling so sad. i just hate this feeling cuz everytime i did argue with her i feel this way.

i finally managed to ignore the feeling and took a shower and get dressed.

After sometime the door bell ringed.

I opened the door when i saw aron.

"Hey emiley! Is nancy free?"

"Well she is not actually busy but lets say her inlaws TO BE are coming at dinner so she is helping Sof..i mean aunt sophie"

"Oh then sorry to disturb.i should go now" he said while going back.

"If there's any message for her i'll inform her"

"No nothing special. see you bye"

After he went i closed the door. I don't why but why do i feel that his smile was forced.like a smile to hide his sadness and pain just like in movies. Maybe i am really overthinking.

After a while the guests arrived.

Her future mother in law (who was nothing but a walking makeup store)

Her husband to be (he always seems angry and i hate him)

Father in law (he always eats too much)

And their little daughter who was my in my school famous for snatching kid's lunch.

Aunt sophie greeted them and she looked at me.ofcourse she was waiting for me to apologize

I gave them the bouqet

" I am so sorry for the inconvenience that was caused last time." I saw a huge smile at aunt's face. Well it lasted for few milliseconds

"It was so irresponsible of my aunt.she should have checked the box before handing it to you.but you know she is quite busy in house affairs.i apologize on her behalf"

I added knowing that she will not cause any sort of drama in front of them.

That furious look on her face..aah i just love this. I would even die for this.but wait!!! why she would made this face on my death.she will definitely hold a party and celebrate that day as her independence day.

"Oh thats okay no problem" said her mother in law

"Tulipss these are my favourite flowers.THANKS emiline dear"

"Its emiley"

"Oh i am sorry"

"Come on have a seat everybody"said aunt sophie

"Emiley go bring drinks for the guests from the kitchen"

AFTER A WHILE WHEN EVERYONE WAS CHATTERING

nancy came greeted everyone his fiancé's expressions were same boring.like he is not intrested in what is happening.

He didn't even talked to her.also nancy was looking quite uncomfortable.

I told her about arrival of aron

"I was already deciding to meet him after their leave"said nancy

"Sometimes you two seems like a lovey dovey couple" i said

"Shut up Emiley"

Uncle kevin also came after sometime from work and joined them.

"My daughter is very good in households.even she is quite young and still do everything beautifully." Said aunt lisa (mother in law)

"Really that's so impressive because i thought snatching lunch from the juniors were the only thing she know"i said with wondering expression.

Nancy hitted on my arm making me realize i have said something wrong.

"Wow thats quite awesome lisa.wait did you tasted these biscuits.i have baked it at home check this" said aunt sophie trying to cover my talks but ofcourse expression of lisa doesn't change even after eating half of the biscuits alone.

Well i really liked uncle smith (father in law)

All he want is food nothing else?

After eating aunt lisa asked me for bathroom saying she wanna wash her hands but ofcourse she just wanna have a look of her face if there is any need of touch up.

Finally the meeting went well.without furthur problems the date of the wedding was decided. 4th of next month after my finals of highschool.

"Auntie i am gonna meet aron. I will come back in exact 20 mimutes"said nancy

"Come back soon. And you spoilt one help me with dishes".

After dishes i checked time. I saw its been 40 minutes.nancy wasn't at home however she is always home on time she gave.

"Just forget it there might be a urgent bussiness.i should sleep".

Then i thought i should go and find her cuz i was unable to sleep.i don't know maybe because of her.anyways when i opened the door i saw nancy with a look she was about to cry. I was about to ask her but she just straight went towards the stairs went to terrace and locked the door.

"What on the Earth happened to her" i thought.
