Chapter 2 Meet the Gang

Charlotte's POV

"Yikes! When was the last time we came here?" Reid scrunched up his nose as he picked up what looked like a rotten slice of pizza, or at least that was what it looked like. I laughed,

watching as Amelia tried untangling herself from strings of webs that seemed to stick in her hair.

"If I did the maths correctly, which I'm sure I did not, it seems like it's been five months now. The last time we came here was to celebrate Ammy's birthday", Paul reasoned as we all nodded. He seemed to be the smartest one in our group, so no one tried arguing.

"Either way, we need to clean up. Reid and I will clean this mess up. Char, you'll take out the trash and Paul, you order the pizza and some drinks", Amelia said authoritatively with her hands on her hips.

So let me give you a quick introduction. I'm Charlotte, and these are my friends Reid, Amelia and Paul. We've been friends ever since kindergarten.

I was a new student at that time and was a naive little child. Unfortunately for me, I got involved with some bullies who tried taking my lunch away from me, but then Paul came along and told them to leave me alone, to which they complied.

We've been close since then; No one or nothing could separate us. We were like two peas in a pod, well that was until Amelia came along. I was struggling with arts and crafts one day, and she offered to help me.

At first, I was hesitant, believing she just wanted to steal some of my equipment, but her being herself helped me nonetheless, and since then, we've been friends. The three of us hung out almost all the time. Going on play dates in each other's houses, attending parties or trick or treating.

Then a day came when we were playing in the forest. Our parents were having dinner among themselves, so we took that as an opportunity to explore. So we ran out of the house, well we snuck out actually, till we found an old treehouse looking like it would fall at any point in time.

Us being us ran in, and we didn't expect what we saw. A boy laid on the ground looking lifeless. In fear, we shook him vigorously till he shot up. We sighed in relief, thinking he was dead. And that was how we met Reid, and ever since then, we've been the inseparable quadruplets. At least that was what we called ourselves back then. We would come to the treehouse now and then, hang out or maybe celebrate any occasion.

We've been together throughout our lives ever since then. We went to kindergarten together, middle school, and now we're in high school. We were pretty sure we would be together for the rest of our lives since we weren't planning on going to university no matter how much our parents persuaded us.

We were sort of like a small gang. We met up late to go to parties, drank till we passed out in the treehouse, beat up anyone who dared to cross us and did so many other things.

Amelia is the sweetest one in the gang; well, as sweet as she could be. She had a dark side of her own which she shows sometimes to other people, but she has always been nice to us the most. She is also the bubbly one, always enthusiastic about something.

She is also the backbone of the group. Each time we fought, she would do everything in her power to bring us back together. You can say she's the mother of the gang, always looking out for us. Though, she did have the motherly nature part and parcel of her.

Her beauty made every single girl jealous. She had long ginger hair that felt so soft when you touched it, and her face looked like God took his time to sculpt it. Her body was too die for. No one would see her figure 8 shape and wouldn't be at her mercy.

Reid is the bad boy of the gang. The kind of, touch me, and you're dead meat guy. No one dared to cross him at all. Merely looking at him, you would pass out from fear. He was tall and muscular, and when I mean muscles, I mean muscles!

Any guy would be jealous to have a well-sculpted body like him, and any girl would kill to touch his biceps. Most people would think he's on steroids or something but no. It is what having nonchalant parents do to a child, but I'm not going too deep into that.

Paul is the quiet one of us all. He is more reserved and doesn't like speaking too much, just a few words, and he is done. He is just as tall as Reid but not as muscular. He has a nice body but a face of a god.

If you managed to make him smile, you would be blinded by his beauty. His hair has never looked neat for once in its life, but that just added to his degree of hotness.

And then there's me. I'm the cruellest of all. I take no shit from anyone, and everyone knows that. I'm basically like Reid but in a feminine stature. Well, I don't have muscles like him, but my body alone kills.

I had the hourglass figure every single girl wants but might never have. And my skin is as soft as a feather, but my pride lies mainly in my hair. Its heavenly curls bounce with each step I take. It had a natural shine that glimmers when light shines on it.

And together, we are the C.R.A.P. We gave ourselves the name when we were in middle school, and everyone has known us like that. We walked through the halls like we owned the place, and we did. We were sometimes referred to as the greek gods because of our astounding beauty.

I pouted, "Why does Paul have to get the easiest thing to do?" I said, wrapping up the big nylon with junk inside it, ready to throw it out into the garbage bin outside.

"That's what I said, and it's final" Amelia glared playfully at me, making me also send a glare at Paul, who just shrugged, leaving me to huff.

Several minutes of cleaning up, the treehouse was spotless. I sighed before falling on the bean bag as Amelia sat the other bean bag opposite mine while the guys sat on the floor. "What now?" I asked.
